Abstract

Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi agama Islam sebagai perpustakaan yang berada dibawah naungan perguruan tinggi Islam, yang kegiatan belajar mengajarnya tidak lepas dari nilai-nilai agama Islam. Kepustakaan Islam merupakan informasi yang sifatnya utama (core collection). Penting untuk mengenalkan dan melestarikan kebudayaan lokal melalui perpustakaan dengan menyediakan kepustakaan Islam berkearifan lokal (kepustakaan Islam Banjar). Terlebih pengembangan kepustakaan Islam Banjar pada Perpustakaan UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, IAI Darussalam Martapura, STAI RAKHA Amuntai. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian kepala perpustakaan dan pustakawan. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode dari Miles dan Huberman dan pengujian dengan triangulasi. Koleksi kepustakaan Islam Banjar: Subjek Utama Koleksi yaitu al- qur’an dan tafsir, ilmu hadits,ilmu kalam(Teologi), Fiqh, akhlak dan tasawuf, sosial dan budaya  Islam, organisasi keagamaan orang Banjar filsafat dan perkembangannya, Psikologi Islam, aliran dan kepercayaan dalam Islam, sejarah agama Islam dan biografi tokoh dan Ulama Banjar. Pengembangan kepustakaan Islam Banjar pada Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Islam Kalimantan Selatan, memang mempunyai kebijakan masing-masing. Namun, keterbatasan dana dan kurangnya SDM menjadi kendala pengembangan.

Abstract

Kota Mekah dan Madinah merupakan pusat ilmu agama, sehingga banyak kaum muslim di sentero dunia pergi ke sana untuk mencari ilmu di samping beribadah haji. Kebangkitan madrasah terjadi setelah berdirinya madrasah Nizhamiyah, madrasah ini sebagai prototipe madrasah sunni yang dibuka dan diresmikan oleh Nizham Al-Mulk. Segera setelah itu kebangkitan madrasah menyebar di beberapa kota di Timur Tengah disusul oleh madrasah Haramain (Mekah dan Madinah). Kebangkitan madrasah Haramain dilatarbelakangi oleh dua faktor, yaitu: faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internalnya, antara lain, adanya anggapan bahwa di Haramain lebih mulia daripada mendirikannya di luar Haramain. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya, antara lain, munculnya kebangkitan madrasah yang ada di beberapa negara muslim, seperti Nisapur, Syria, Baghdad, Mesir, Damaskus, dan Bayt al-Maqdis. Madrasah Haramain kebanyakan didirikan oleh penguasa dan para dermawan non Hijaz dan madrasah ini juga memiliki ketergantungan dari pendirinya, sedangkan wacana keilmuan berkisar pada ilmu-ilm fiqh, ilmu tafsir, ilmu hadis, ilmu tasawuf dan juga ilmu kedokteran.

Abstract

Pustakawan referensi adalah pustakawan yang membantu pemustaka menelusur informasi dalam berbagai subjek. Pustakawan referensi (rujukan) masa kini perlu memiliki kompetensi khusus, baik kompetensi profesional maupun personal. Memiliki keterampilan dan kemampuan mengenai apa, bagaimana dan kapan suatu informasi diperlukan, serta keterampilan dan kemampuan untuk menemukan, mengevaluasi serta memanfaatkan informasi tersebut dengan baik dan bertanggung jawab. Abstract

Background: The rapid development of information technology presents significant challenges for libraries in maintaining relevant and accurate collections. Information literacy has become an essential competency for librarians to effectively evaluate, manage, and provide information resources. Purpose: This study examines the relationship between librarians’ information literacy and the quality of library collections in five state universities in South Kalimantan using a quantitative regression approach. Method: All 51 librarians were included through saturated sampling, with data collected via observations, questionnaires, and documentation, and validated for reliability. The findings show that librarians’ information literacy is in the good category (mean 3.20), as is the quality of library collections (mean 3.54). The correlation test produced r = 0.236 (sig. 0.061), indicating a positive yet moderate relationship. Result: These results highlight that stronger information literacy skills contribute to better-managed collections. Conclusion: More broadly, the study suggests that strengthening information literacy competencies can enhance collection development practices not only in South Kalimantan but also in other higher education institutions with similar contexts.

Abstract

The relationship between users and libraries and librarians has undergone a transformation into a complex public space. The complexity of this public space is not only to accommodate interactions between users and librarians in relation to access to information and knowledge, but also as a space for inter-generational, inter-interest, inter-community, inter-professional meetings that unite and interact with librarians, technology, networked and bonded by library collections and library collection documents. Librarians in the era of disruption must be able to develop the competencies needed to achieve success by making various breakthroughs. Libraries must be creative and respond to changes that emerge after disruption, including by adapting to the changes that occur. Facing the era of digital disruption, a librarian needs to develop strategies according to the needs and times to face the changes occurring in the library world. Some strategies that can be implemented include increasing digital literacy, innovating, prioritizing research, providing excellent service, being open to developments in information technology, collaborating with other parties, improving managerial abilities, needing to prioritize constructive innovation, always upgrading one's own competence and acts as a stimulator and trigger in the development of digital content.

Abstract

Librarians with a background in library science must have expertise in using, understanding, searching, and evaluating information. This information literacy skill is the main expertise of librarians who have an impact on the information in the library, especially the college library. Good librarian information literacy skills can ultimately present information that suits the needs of users. Not only that, the quality of the information is also presented accurately. This study aims to determine the correlation of information literacy skills of librarians with the collection quality of state university libraries in South Kalimantan. The research method used is quantitative with regression analysis. All librarians at state universities totaling 51 people with saturated sampling technique. Based on the table results Paired Samples Correlations obtained Correlation=0,236 with value P atau sig=0,061. So the correlation value is very strong because the approach to 1, so that it can be stated that there is a correlation between information literacy skills and collection quality in the South Kalimantan state university library
