Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the ability to understand the concept of division arithmetic operations of students in class III A SD VITA Surabaya using a contextual learning approach. This research was conducted in two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II, each cycle consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The assessment instruments used in this study were formative tests and observation sheets related to learning motivation. The increase occurred from Cycle I to Cycle II, which was 16%. So it can be concluded that contextual learning is effective to improve the ability to understand the concept of division arithmetic operations in students of class III A SD VITA Surabaya.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model with the demonstration method in mathematics subjects with addition material from 1 to 20 class 1B at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya. This research is classroom action research. The research subject was class 1B students. Data collection uses the observation method with checklist instruments and performance tests. totaling 24 students for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and qualitative statistics. The results of this research show that all stages of problem based learning were carried out well, the results of observations of students' attitudes showed that 90% met the KKTP, student learning outcomes showed 90% met the KKTP, the results of students' skills in making products 90% met the KKTP. The results of the reflection showed that all students felt happy and could understand the material being taught. The conclusion of this research is that the application of problem based learning models, demonstration learning methods and learning media is effective in improving student outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the material of flat geometry elements through the application of the problem based learning model assisted by tangram media in class IV of SDN Sidotopo I Surabaya in the 2024/2025 academic year. Based on initial observations, it was found that students' learning outcomes were still low and learning tended to be conventional without concrete media. This study is a classroom based research with a research method by Kemmis and Mc Taggart which was carried out in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 31 students in class IV. Data collection techniques used observation and test at each stage of the cycle. The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning outcomes. The percentage of student learning completion increased from 26% in the pre-cycle, increased to 52% in cycle I, and reached an increase to 81% in cycle II. This increase shows that the application of the problem based learning model assisted by tangram media is effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the material of flat geometry elements. It is suggested that teachers use problem-based learning approaches and concrete media to improve students' participation and understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada muatan IPAS berbantu media video pembelajaran di kelas IV SDN Sidotopo I48 Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, ditemukan bahwa siswa kurang aktif dan hasil belajar rendah karena media pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang menarik. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kognitif dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh ketuntasan belajar siswa yang meningkat dari 60% pada Siklus I menjadi 84% pada Siklus II. Penggunaan media video terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siklus air, memperbaiki keterlibatan siswa, dan menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Oleh karena itu, media video yang berkualitas tinggi dan kontekstual direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V pada materi nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan bantuan bahan ajar digital berupa flipbook. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di SD Negeri Sidotopo 1/48 Surabaya dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 30 orang. Siklus I menunjukkan bahwa 50% peserta didik mencapai nilai di atas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus II, seperti pemberian akses flipbook secara individual dan pemilihan masalah yang lebih kontekstual, persentase ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 77%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL yang dipadukan dengan flipbook digital mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi nilai-nilai Pancasila secara signifikan. Strategi ini juga membantu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kerja sama kelompok, dan penanaman karakter kebangsaan dalam konteks kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar membaca pemahaman siswa pada materi teks prosedur melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media wordwall di kelas III SDN Sidotopo I Surabaya tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Berdasarkan observasi awal, diketahui bahwa siswa merasa kesulitan dalam memahami soal-soal dalam bentuk bacaan yang terkesan monoton untuk dipelajari. Siswa menganggap bacaan yang banyak atau kosakata yang belum pernah mereka temui merupakan hal yang membosankan dan sulit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode penelitian dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 siswa kelas III. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, pretest, posttest pada setiap tahapan siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 30% pada pra siklus, meningkat menjadi 44,4% pada siklus I, dan mencapai peningkatan menjadi 74% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi procedure text. Disarankan kepada guru untuk menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan teknologi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi siklus air melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Diosilir. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di kelas III-C SD Negeri Sidotopo I Surabaya dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 28 siswa. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I, sebanyak 53% peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dan meningkat menjadi 78% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL yang dipadukan dengan media konkrit Diosilir efektif dalam membantu peserta didik memahami konsep siklus air secara lebih visual, kontekstual, dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, model ini juga mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran melalui diskusi, eksplorasi masalah nyata, dan kerja kelompok. Dengan demikian, penerapan model PBL berbantu media Diosilir dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The feasibility on the learning tools is crucial because it ensures the validity of the data and information obtained. This study aims to describe the validity and reliability of STEM-based learning e-modules to train creative thinking skills, describe the effectiveness of STEM- based learning e-modules creative thinking skills, and describe student responses after learning using STEM-based e-modules. This research is Research and Development (R&D). The development modul used is the 4-D device development model. There are consist of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stage. The data were analysed descriptively quantitatively. The target of the e-modules trial was 11 student of class X IPA SMAM 4 Sidayu, Gresik, Indonesia. The data collecting techniques using validation techniques, tests, and questionnaires. The results were the validity of STEM-based e-modules to train creative thinking skills obtained 73.25% which is included in the valid category and can be tested on students. The data were analysed descriptively throught T-test and N-Gain. From the research results, it was concluded that the e-modules media is declared valid, STEM based e-modules are effective enough to train creative thinking skills, and student responses to e-modules are very good

Abstract

This study purposed to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning assisted with scaffolding on students’ critical thinking and metacognitive skills. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Gondang Mojokerto with the research subject being 11th-grade science students, involving a control group using conventional instruction and an experimental group using guided inquiry learning supported by scaffolding. Data were collected through tests, using research instruments in the form of critical thinking and metacognitive essay test. Data were analayzed using the Mann-Whitney test and the N-Gain test. After being implemented with the guided inquiry learning model supported with scaffolding, critical thinking skills increased to 67.45 in the medium category. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference (p = 0.05). furthermore, in the N-Gain test analysis, the experimental group scored 57.59 in the moderately effective category, while the control group scored 7.39 in the ineffective category. The analysis of metacognitive skills revealed that the experimental group’s metacognitive skills were at 56.30 in the moderately effective category. It means that guided inquiry supported with scaffolding is affective in improving critical thinking and metacognitive skills.
