Abstract

This study aims to analyze the category of understanding the concept of kinematics using Certainty of Response Index (CRI) assisted Computer Based Test (CBT) and to determine misconceptions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. The method used in this research is descriptive and the instrument used in this study is a multiple choice test using CRI and reason. The test was conducted on 57 students from class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3. Rasch modeling is used for the processing stage from raw data to logit numbers which will provide information related to infits and outfits in the ministep software besides manual analysis using CRI. The result of the analysis that have been carried out considering students who are outliers or misfits, data from the ministep software and the reasons for the answer given, 41 students are obtained according to the Rasch modeling and 16 students who are outliers or misfits. The result showed that the average score of concept understanding was 23.44%, while for the concept understanding category it was 2.15%, the concept understanding category but not sure was 0.00%, the misconception category was 70.02% and did not understand the concept of 27.83%. The result of the interview found several causes of misconceptions, namely the references form used in the languange in the book was difficult to understand and the learning model usel was not quite right.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep termodinamika siswa SMA Negeri 21 Palembang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 35 siswa kelas XI IPA 4. Pengambilan data dalam bentuk tes menggunakan instrumen Thermodynamic Concept Survey (TCS) berupa 35 butir soal pilihan ganda beralasan terbuka yang dilengkapi dengan CRI berbantuan CBT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Diperoleh hasil rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa SMA Negeri 21 Palembang pada kategori paham konsep sebesar 36,28% siswa, paham konsep tapi kurang yakin sebesar 3,75%, siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 37,7% dan siswa tidak tahu konsep sebesar 22,27%. Persentase kategori paham konsep tertinggi berada pada pokok bahasan suhu dan perpindahan panas, kategori miskonsepsi tertinggi berada pada pokok bahasan hukum gas ideal, kategori paham konsep tapi kurang yakin dan tidak tahu konsep tertinggi berada pada pokok bahasan hukum 1 termodinamika. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi mengenai pemahaman konsep termodinamika siswa SMA Negeri 21 palembang.Kata kunci: Pemahaman konsep, termodinamika, Certainty of Response Index (CRI).

Abstract

The study aims to produce the e-learning physics of Newton's legal material to develop the critical thinking skills of high school students who have higher and practical validity rates. The model of development research used is Rowntree models. The evaluation phase used is Tessmer's formative evaluation consisting of four phases: Self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques using walkthroughs and polls. This level of e-learning validity is judged by three experts, namely in material aspects, learning design aspects, and e-learning aspects as well as data analysis using the Aiken V Index to determine the consensus of the experts. The results of the development of e-learning indicate that the resulting media is suitable for use in learning physics. This can be seen from the Aiken V index value of 0.94 with a high level of validity category. Meanwhile, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation are obtained by average result of 81.84% and 90.00% and also includes very practical category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh perangkat e-learning materi gerak melingkar menggunakan Learning Management System Chamilo yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk pembelajaran fisika materi gerak melingkar. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Banyuasin 1. Metode penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Alessi dan Trollip terbagi dalam tiga tahapan yakni tahap perencanaan, tahap desain, dan tahap pengembangan. Pembuktian validasi dalam studi ini terdiri dari media, konten, dan desain pembelajaran. Hasil validasi menunjukan bahwa perangkat e-learning sudah valid dan layak untuk diuji cobakan. Uji kepraktiksan berdasarkan penilaian dari sudut pandang peserta didik menunjukan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memiliki kepraktisan sebesar 88,10%. Uji efektivitas diperoleh penilaian melalui N-gain sebesar 0,627 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa perangkat e-learning mempunyai nilai valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika materi gerak melingkar. Development of e-learning for circular motion topics using LMS Chamilo Abstract: This research is aimed to obtain a valid, practise, and effective e-learning media for learning circular motion topics using Chamilo's Learning Management System. The subjects of this study was students of science class in Senior High School in Banyuasin 1. The research method used in this research is development research using the Alessi and Trollip development model which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, design stage, and development stage. Validation in this study includes media, content, and learning design. Based on the results of validation, the media was valid and feasible to be tested. The practicality test in accordance with students' feedback on the media show that the developed media has a practicality of 88.10%. The effectiveness of media was proved through N-gain score of 0.627 with a moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the e-learning device that has been developed has valid, practical, and effective value against the learning of circular motion matter physics in SMA Negeri 1 Banyuasin 1.

Abstract

Succesfully conducted a study entitled development of e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid to develop student’s creative thinking skill in senior high school. This research is aimed at generating e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid valid and practical. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) using Rowntree model which in the procedure consisted of three stages: planning stage, development stage and evaluation stage. The evaluation stage employed were formative evaluation Tessmer which consisted of four stages: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The data collection technique using walkthrough and questionnaires. The validity is assessed by three experts that is in content aspect, learning design aspect, and e-learning aspect. Of the results expert review obtained an average assessment of 93,73% with a very valid criteria. While on stage one-to-one evaluation showed an average assessment of 89,67% with a very practical criteria. In the small group evaluation, the result is an average percentage of 92,91% with a very practical criteria. Based on the result that e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid to developing student’s creative thinking skill in senior high school which have been developed into the criteria of very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Physics learning has a purpose to improve students' thinking skills so that not only competent in the psychomotor and cognitive fields, but should support the way students think creatively, students think systematically, and also students think logicall. Therefore this research aims to develop e-learning on work and simple machines to improve creative thinking skills of grade VIII students SMPIT Harapan Mulia Palembang. The research uses development research methods, with development models Alessi and Trollip. The development of Alessi and Trollip models has three stages of planning, design, and development. The data collected in the study used several techniques including using expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research concluded that e-learning on work and simple machines for grade VIII middle school students has been feasible, practical and can improve students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Pemberian pendampingan Kompetisi Sains Nasional (KSN) diharapkan mampu memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kapabilitas guru MGMP Fisika kota Prabumulih untuk membuat persiapan, pelaksanaan dan pendampingan dalam Olimpiade Sains Nasional khususnya bidang fisika sehingga secara langsung dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik sehingga mampu dan terlatih dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang membutuhkan kemampuan critical thinking. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini yaitu melatih guru MGMP fisika kota Prabumulih untuk menyelesaikan soal KSN bidang fisika dan melatih guru MGMP fisika kota Prabumulih untuk membimbing peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal KSN. Model dan metode yang digunakan adalah model pendampingan berupa kegiatan pelatihan dengan metode presentasi, workshop, diskusi dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Oktober sampai 18 Oktober 2021 yang diikuti oleh 28 peserta yang terdiri dari guru fisika dan dosen pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kapabilitas Guru MGMP Fisika kota Prabumulih dalam membuat persiapan, pelaksanaan dan pendampingan dalam KSN khususnya bidang fisika di buktikan sebanyak lebih dari 70% guru telah mampu menyusun rencana pembinan Kompetisi Sains Nasional di sekolah masing-masing dan menyelesaikan soal-soal berstandar KSN bidang Fisika. Assistance activities for the National Science Competition are expected to have a significant impact on increasing the capability of the  Physics teachers in Prabumulih to prepare, implement, and assist in KSN, especially in the field of physics. This activity aims to train Prabumulih city physics MGMP teachers to solve KSN questions in the field of physics and to train Prabumulih city physics MGMP teachers to guide students in solving KSN questions. The model and method used is a mentoring model in training activities with the presentation, workshop, discussion, and mentoring methods. This activity was carried out from October 9 to October 18, 2021, attended by 28 participants consisting of physics teachers and physics education lecturers, FKIP Sriwijaya University. The activity results showed an increase in the capability of Physics Teachers in making preparations, implementation, and assistance in the KSN, especially in the physics field. It was proven that more than 70% of teachers had been able to develop plans for fostering the National Science Competition in their respective schools and solving problems. - Standard questions for the National Science Olympiad in Physics.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the needs and interests of students in learning Physics through the use of electronic modules at SMA Negeri 1 Namang with a descriptive research approach. The research involved 99 students from three classes. The results of the preliminary study show that only 25.3% of students have knowledge of electronic modules, while their use in schools is still rare. However, all students showed a high interest in learning using electronic modules that contain images, text and videos. Electronic modules are considered as learning resources that facilitate understanding of the material and improve the overall learning process. Students expect electronic modules that are concrete, easy to understand, and able to improve creative thinking skills. They also want material that is explained in depth and relevant to everyday life, and is supplemented with relevant examples of questions. The appearance of an attractive electronic module is also considered important by students. In the context of an independent curriculum, students experience difficulties in learning renewable energy material, with several factors causing difficulties such as material that is difficult to understand, too many formulas, limited learning resources, and lack of application of examples and various learning orientations. This research shows the need to develop electronic modules that are complete, interactive, and in accordance with the needs of students to increase their understanding and interest in learning Physics
