Abstract

The development of retail store businesses in Indonesia is widespread across various regions, positively impacting the increase in shopping activities among the community. Alongside the intense competition among retailers, fundamental issues are found regarding the shopping experience of customers who feel uncomfortable and dissatisfied with retail services. Customers are an essential aspect that needs attention, and their desires must be fulfilled to maintain the existence of a retail store. This study attempts to implement the concept of visual merchandising to enhance service quality through the planogram method aimed at improving the visual arrangement of sales shelfs. Regarding the layout of retail stores, shelf arrangement plays a significant role visually in influencing and attracting customer attention while shopping. In this study, two data mining techniques are used. The first method is association rule mining using the Apriori algorithm, which reveals the association rules formed between two or more product items, utilizing a total of 6,325 customer transaction records. The results indicate 12 rules formed based on product categories and 17 rules based on product sub-categories. The second technique is k-means clustering, which is used to identify differences in customer preferences in retail stores based on several variables regarding customers using 104 data customers. In practice, both the apriori and k-means algorithms face challenges, especially when handling large and complex data. Differences in preferences were found among the clusters, particularly regarding product arrangement on the sales shelf, such as grouping products by brand and price. A two-dimensional planogram design was developed to integrate the results from the previous stages. This design considers the availability and specifications of the shelves in the retail store. A planogram adjusted to customer purchasing patterns and preferences is expected to provide good service and positively impact store operations and stock management.

Abstract

Digital transformation in healthcare supply chain management is increasingly important in addressing operational and distribution efficiency barriers. However, many healthcare institutions have yet to adopt Business Intelligence (BI), causing delays in decision-making, inefficiencies in drug stock management, and waste of resources due to suboptimal distribution. The method used is a bibliometric analysis based on literature observations from major academic databases, with a quantitative approach using VOSviewer to map topic relationships, research trends, and collaboration patterns between researchers. The results of the study confirm that the application of Business Intelligence (BI) in healthcare supply chain management is more dedicated to existing technology-based solutions, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and Big Data, compared to new development methodologies. This study found that although BI can increase efficiency in inventory management by up to 50%, accelerate data-based decision-making by up to 40%, and reduce resource waste by 25%, there are still similarities in policy aspects and obstacles that hinder optimal implementation. In conclusion, the application of BI in the healthcare supply chain must be supported by a structured strategy, including investment in digital infrastructure and workforce training. Further research is recommended to explore policies that can accelerate the implementation of BI in the health sector.

Abstract

The livestock sector is an important pillar in providing animal protein and sustaining the rural economy. However, the sector faces major challenges from environmental and socio-economic issues, such as climate change and environmental degradation, which can threaten its sustainability. Negative impacts such as environmental contamination can reduce production quality and quantity and increase supply chain operational costs. This study aims to identify effective risk mitigation strategies to reduce these negative impacts and improve the sustainability of supply chain management. Data were collected from laying duck farms and analyzed using the House of Risk (HOR) method with a Phase 1 and 2 approach. This approach allows the identification of the most critical risks and risk agents and mapping mitigation priorities. Key findings indicate that providing drugs or vaccines to prevent animal virus outbreaks is the highest priority mitigation strategy, while strategic policy decision-making has the lowest priority. Overall, 15 risks and 21 risk agents were identified. This study implies that the implementation of effective mitigation strategies can significantly reduce operational risks, strengthen the resilience of the livestock sector, and support the sustainability of supply chain management as a whole.

Abstract

In 2021, the amount of blood production by the Indonesian Red Cross was higher than the existing needs. This can result in wasted blood bags. The availability of abundant blood bag supplies is not balanced with access to information on the availability of these blood bags. This study aims to build a smart logistics system that can provide information on the availability of blood bags in real-time. This study utilized a quantitative and explorative approach and employed the waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method using PHP and the CodeIgniter 3 framework, which was integrated with IoT devices such as sensors and GPS for real-time monitoring. In addition, this system will provide a tool to predict the number of donors needed, as well as estimate the number of donor quotas required during upcoming blood donation activities. This study has succeeded in developing a blood donor information system that adopts the smart logistics concept to control blood bag stock. The resulting system is capable of reducing the risk of shortages and obsolescence while enhancing synergy among stakeholders. The design of a system that facilitates openness of information on the level of blood needs and simplification of the donor system is expected to increase community responsibility in creating sustainable blood supply availability.
