Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect Dura Oil Palm Seedlings Growth  and Variety DXP Simalungun ( Elaeis guineensis Jacq. ) Against Liquid Organic Fertilizer in the Main Nursery by using  Plots Separated ( RPT ) design which  the main plot is   varieties V1 and V2 = DXP Simelungun Dura varieties . Subplot factor is liquid organic fertilizer ( G ) are G1 = 1 ml / liter of water , G2 = 3 ml / liter of water , G3 = 5ml/liter water . There are 6 combination treatment was repeated 3 times resulted in 18 experimental units . The number of plants per plot 5 sample plants with 3 plants , 90 plants total number of plants with a total sample of 54 plants

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the  growth and production responce of green bean by using of liquid organic fertilizer and TSP by   randomized block design (RBD) factorial with two factors under studied namely : liquid organic fertilizer (B) which consist of four standrd that  B0 = control, B1 = 5 cc / liter of water, B2 = 10 cc / liter of water and B3 = 15 cc / liter of water while fertilizer  TSP (T) which consist of three standard that  T0 = control, T1 = 15 g / plant, and T2 = 30 g / plants.  Liquid organic fertilizer as first factor and fertilizer TSP as a second factor.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan pupuk organik dalam budidaya tanaman semakin berkembang. Berbagai sumber limbah dan bahan tanaman telah diolah menjadi pupuk organik dan dapat menekan biaya produksi. Salah satunya adalah ampas tahu dan daun gamal yang diaplikasikan dalam bentuk padat ataupun cair. Aplikasi pupuk organik tersebut tidak terkecuali pada tanaman lobak. Saat ini pemanfaatan lobak tidak hanya sebagai tanaman sayuran, tetapi juga sebagai tanaman obat, salah satunya adalah menghindari peningkatan kolesterol jahat.  Oleh karena itu produksi lobak perlu ditingkatkan. Analisa karakter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak terhadap aplikasi ampas tahu dan pupuk organik cair daun gamal merupakan tujuan penelitian ini dan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial, yaitu dosis ampas tahu (A) dengan 4 taraf yaitu 0, 150, 300 dan 450 g/polybag. Aplikasi pupuk organik cair (POC) daun gamal (P) terdiri dari 0, 60, 120 dan 180 ml/liter air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa aplikasi ampas tahu secara signifikan mempengaruhi karakter pertumbuhan yaitu tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Aplikasi ampas tahu juga telah mempengaruhi karakter hasil yaitu  diameter umbi, bobot umbi pertanaman sampel dan bobot umbi perplot. Namun, aplikasi POC daun gamal serta interaksi kedua perlakuan tidak signifikan mempengaruhi peubah karakter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak.

Abstract

AbstractNatural herbicides is an effort to improve the competitiveness of the quality and quantity of production. Although the tall grass (Imperata cylindrica L.) is a weed, but this plant can be used as a herbicide to suppress the growth of weed seeds in the soil. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of grass root extract in suppressing the growth of weed seeds in the soil. The research was conducted in the home garden experiment pads Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra Muhammadiyah Jln. Tuar no. Medan District 65 Sand with altitude ± 27 m above sea level and implemented from the month of February 26, 2012 to 23 April 2012. Using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with 10 treatments and 3 replicates and tested using Duncant test (DMRT). With the concentration of A0 = 0%, A1 = 15%, A2 = 30%, A3 = 45%, A4 = 60%. In this research found that the degree of concentration of 15% significantly affect the period of germination, mortality, and length of primary roots. In this study differences in the doses used in the treatment level is too low at 15%. So the difference in the data obtained is not significant among all the standard treatments. But the results of research with a concentration of 30% is in treatment in the use of extracts A2G2 alang - alang more effective against the primary root length on weeds and spinach shy daughter of thorns. For mortality, the use of extracts of grass - grass is more effective in the treatment of spinach burr weed.Keywords: Weeds, Herbicides natural alang – alang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the testing of various types of manure and the dose of compound fertilizer NPK 17:17:17 on the growth and production of green beans (Vigna radiata L.). This study used a split plot design (RPT) with 2 factors. Parameters measured were plant height, number of primary branches, flowering age, number of filled pods per plant, number of empty pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed yield per plant, seed yield per plot, weight of 100 seeds. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's mean difference test (DMRT). The results showed that the treatment of chicken manure gave the best effect on plant height, number of primary branches and weight of 100 mung bean seeds. The treatment of various doses of NPK 17:17:17 compound fertilizer did not affect all the observed parameters. There was no interaction between the type of manure and the dose of compound fertilizer NPK 17:17:17 on all observation parameters.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan IbM (IPTEK bagi Masyarakat) di desa Simpang Empat Kecamatan Sei Rampah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dalam memanfaatkan berbagai limbah organik menjadi Pupuk Organik yang bermanfaat bagi tanaman dan lingkungan.  Pemanfaatan limbah organik yang merupakan kearifan lokal meliputi batang pisang, kulit durian, kulit kakao, jerami, urin dan feses kambing/domba, urin dan feses sapi/lembu, feses ayam dan limbah dedaunan yang berasal dari tumbuh-tumbuhan.Kata Kunci :  Pupuk Bokashi, Pupuk organik, limbah organic

Abstract

Okra (Albemoschus esculentus L) is a fruit-shaped vegetable crop and is a potential crop because it has business opportunities. Okra production is still low and has not been able to meet the needs of one of the problems, namely inappropriate fertilization. It is necessary to conduct research that aims to determine the effect of Potassium fertilizer and organic rabbit fertilizer on the growth and yield of okra. The research location is in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, DeliSerdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. When the research was carried out in February-May 2021, the materials used were okra seeds, potash fertilizer and rabbit manure. The research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatments and three replications of Potassium (K), namely: K0: without K fertilizer, K1: 5 g/plot, K2: 7.5 g/plot, K3: 15 g/plot while rabbit organic fertilizer (P), namely: P0: without rabbit organic fertilizer, P1: 1 kg/plot, P2: 1.5 kg/plot, P3: 2 kg/plot. The results showed that for observation the number of fruits per plant had no significant effect but gave the best results on Potassium 15 g/plot and organic fertilizer for rabbits P3: 2 kg/plot while Potassium fertilizer had a significant effect on stem diameter and flowering age while organic fertilizer for rabbits had a significant effect on plant height this is because Potassium fertilizer functions to strengthen stems, physiological processes, formation of flowers and fruit. While rabbit organic fertilizer contains nitrogen which plays a role in the vegetative phase for plant growth.

Abstract

Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is an invasive pest that attacks maize plants. Meanwhile, one of the food crop needs that must be fulfilled is corn. Central Kuta Village is one of the corn-producing villages. In the cultivation of corn, the pest Spodoptera frugiperda is one of the problems that causes up to 50% damage. in the management of Spodoptera frugiperda attacks, many farmers use chemical pesticides. the use of high chemical pesticides can damage the ecosystem. To maintain the balance of the ecosystem, it is necessary to apply integrated pest management (IPM) in corn cultivation. The research was carried out in June 2023 on maize farmers' land in Di Desa, Central Kuta, Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency which covered 5 locations from Central Kuta Village. Data was collected through interviews with a questionnaire guide. The data collected were the understanding and perception of IPM of Spodoptera frugiperda on maize plants and the intensity of Spodoptera frugiperda attacks. From the results of the study that out of 5 lands only 4 lands implemented IPM. The intensity of Spodoptera frugiperda attacks on land 4 was the lowest intensity. Based on the results of interviews with 4 farmers, they applied IPM both before planting and until they did not control plant-disturbing organisms.INTISARISpodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) merupakan hama invasive yang menyerang tanaman jagung.  Sedangkan, salah satu kebutuhan tanaman pangan yang harus dipenuhi adalah jagung. Desa kuta tengah merupakan salah satu desa penghasil jagung. Dalam budidaya tanaman jagung hama Spodoptera frugiperda menjadi salah satu masalah yang mengakibatkan kerusakan mencapai 50%. Dalam pengelolaan serangan Spodoptera frugiperda petani banyak menggunakan pestisida kimia. Penggunaan pestisida kimia yang tinggi dapat merusak ekosistem. Untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem maka perlu diterapkan pengelolaan hama terpadu (PHT) dalam budidaya tanamn jagung. Penelitian   dilaksanakan   pada   bulan juni  2023  pada  lahan  petani jagung di Di Desa, Kuta Tengah, Kecamatan Namorambe Kabupaten, Deli Serdang yang  meliputi 5  lokasi dari desa kuta tengah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan panduan kuesioner. Data yang dikumpulkan yaitu pemahaman dan  persepsi PHT Spodoptera frugiperda tanaman jagung serta intensitas serangan Spodoptera frugiperda.  Dari hasil penelitian bahwa dari 5 lahan hanya 1 lahan yang menerapkan PHT. Intensitas serangan Spodoptera frugiperda pada lokasi 4 merupakan intensitas yang paling rendah. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara petani lokasi 4 menerapkan PHT baik dari sebelum tanam dan sampai tindak pengendalian organisme pengganggu tanaman.
