Abstract

Abstract: Student learning outcomes in the higher education curriculum describe a student's ability. This study describes the application of the guided discovery learning model with PhET Simulation media which aims to improve students learning outcomes for pre-service teachers. This research is a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument was essay test. Data analysis used a gain score (n-gain). The results of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in student scores based on differences in pretest and posttest scores. The average value of n-gain is in the medium category, which is 0,49. The results indicate that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after attending lectures with the guided discovery learning model assisted by PhET Simulation. Keywords: learning outcomes, guided discovery learning, PhET simulation Abstrak: Hasil belajar mahasiswa yang termuat dalaam capaian pembelajaran kurikulum pendidikan tinggi menggambarkan kemampuan seorang mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran guided discovery learning dengan media PhET Simulation yang bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa calon guru Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes berbentuk esai. Analisis data menggunakan gain score (n-gain). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai mahasiswa berdasarkan perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest. Nilai rata-rata n-gain berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 0,49. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan ada peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah mengikuti perkuliahan dengan model pembelajaran guided discovery learning berbantuan PhET Simulation. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, guided discovery learning, PhET Simulation

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to measure the self-efficacy of prospective primary education teachers who come from remote areas. The self-efficacy of prospective elementary school teachers who come from remote areas is in the average group. The method used is quantitative descriptive research The sample of this study was 73 elementary school teacher education students at STKIP Melawi. primary school teacher education at STKIP Melawi. The method applied in the sampling process is purposive random sampling. The results found that the self-efficacy of prospective elementary school teachers who were domiciled from remote areas was in the average group. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve self-efficacy so that elementary school teachers who are domiciled from remote areas are able to convince themselves to learn and teach in elementary schools around Melawi Regency. Keywords: remote areas, self-efficacy, elementary school, teacher, rural area Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur self-efficacy calon guru pendidikan dasar yang berasal dari remote areas. self-efficacy calon guru sekolah dasar yang berasal dari remote areas berada pada kelompok rata-rata. Hasil menemukan bahwa self-efficacy calon guru sekolah dasar yang berdomisi dari daerah remote areas berada pada kelompok rata-rata. Maka dari itu, perlu upaya dalam meningkatkan self-efficacy agar caon guru sekolah dasar yang berdomisi asal dari remote areas mampu menyakinkan diri untuk belajar dan mengajar di sekolah dasar yang ada di sekitar Kabupaten Melawi. Kata Kunci: daerah terpencil, efikasi diri, sekolah dasar, guru, daerah tertinggal
