Abstract

A franchise company is PT. Indomarco Prismatama, better known as Indomaret, with the assistance of more than 500 distributors, Indomaret has developed a minimarket business with 16,000 locations, a full product inventory, 60% company-owned stores, and 40% franchise-owned stores. Both physical and online marketing initiatives are part of Indomaret's marketing plan. The expansion of the market for Indomaret products is the aim of this marketing strategy. The marketing strategy has been modified to meet market demands because of the existence of the internet, and Indomaret's success cannot be separated from the marketing strategy. This study attempts to understand and analyze the Internet Marketing Communication strategy used by Indomaret Batam to manage its business. In this form of research, a qualitative descriptive methodology is employed. Interviews were employed to acquire data and study of the literature. Data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusions, and a credibility and transferability test are the four processes in a Miles and Huberman data analysis. The study's findings revealed the three methods of online marketing communication they employed: (1) applications, such as Indomaret's klik Indomaret, I-Saku, and Indomaret Point; (2) social media platforms including Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter; and (3) websites. Indomaret. The emergence of new media includes these three forms of communication. Indomaret can shape its target audience both offline and online thanks to these three new media genres that produce digital natives.

Abstract

The aim of this training was to acknowledge the SMK students the skills of communication. Public speaking was the main topic of this training. Public speaking mastery affects people’s relationship, leadership, and attitudes. The SMK graduates must have public speaking skill for their future when they are welcomed in workplace. The collaboration of the vocational skills, public speaking skill, and English-speaking skill will enter the graduates to the successful future. This training was held at SMKN 7 Batam from November 10th to 11th, 2022 with MM, RPL, TKJ, TITL, and TJAT students as the participants. This activity applied the community education with training-course technique. The training included mentoring, discussion, and practice in which the materials were the strategies of public speaking and basic course of English. The result of the activity was the educating the participants in controlling fear and anxiety while speaking in public. Besides, it was increasing the participants’ confidence.

Abstract

pemSocial media is one part of new media that is used to inform anything to the public, whether used in business or interacting with others. Social media is one of the electronic media to communicate and do business by using internet media. Social media is most widely used by teenagers. Adolescents are individuals who have entered the stages of mental, emotional, social maturity and physical form. Although adolescents are said to be mature, but in relation to the use of social media, adolescents are often caught up in matters of privacy violations both as perpetrators and as victims. Therefore, understanding is needed in communicating properly and correctly in accordance with the ethics that apply to social media. The purpose of this community service is to help mosque teenagers use social media wisely and understand the limitations of conveying information on social media. As well as conducting training on how to write messages with communication ethics and not contrary to the law. The methods used are lectures, presentations, and direct practice. The teenagers were given the material then given the opportunity to practice. This service is carried out for 5 times according to the schedule that has been prepared. The results of this community service activity have implications for changing attitudes and increasing knowledge for mosque teenagers, who are expected to be much wiser in conveying, or disseminating information through social media. /emem/em/p

Abstract

This community services were carried out in Banyuurip Padukuhan, Margoagung Village, Seyegan District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. After making several observations, problems were found in this area, where the village which is located close to the main road causes environmental problems, especially in terms of environmental cleanliness on the riverbanks. As a result of uncontrolled waste disposal by road users, it has a huge impact on the people of Banyuurip, especially on health, which can cause Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) and a less beautiful environment. this community service conducts outreach activities related to waste by sorting household waste and making waste banks. In addition, there is training on making hydroponic plants with the aim that the community can manage waste properly. This community service method goes through several stages, namely the stages of problem identification, planning, implementation of activities, monitoring, and evaluation. the result of community service here is that many people still don't know how to make a waste bank and properly manage hydroponic plants and catfish seeds, so we always carry out monitoring and evaluation related to the constraints felt by the community.

Abstract

The high exposure to information and the rapid circulation of hoax information in Indonesia, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, indicate the importance of digital literacy education for all parties. Literacy education for students needs to be carried out considering that students are the highest internet users in Indonesia. Literacy education activities are highly recommended to be carried out in formal institutions/organizations or the school environment. SMA Immanuel is one of the educational institutions in the city of Batam that requires assistance regarding digital literacy at SMA Immanuel. This training was carried out to provide (1). Knowledge and understanding of digital literacy and digital security (2). Understanding of hoax news and skills in avoiding the spread of hoax news, and (3). Skills in wise social media management. This coaching method are using lecture, discussion, and practice methods with a duration of 1 hour per session for 4 alternate meetings and is scheduled to involve 7 service members. This coaching is conducted in online meetings using the Zoom application. This coaching will be given to Immanuel school students in the city of Batam, totaling around 10-15 people which will be carried out in the January-June 2022 range. The results of the activity show that there is a significant increase in skills both in digital literacy skills, handling hoaxes, and also social media management.

Abstract

Citizen journalism was present in Indonesia beginning with the tsunami disaster in Aceh in 2004. Recorded images that could not be covered directly by journalists were finally able to be witnessed by wide audiences both locally, nationally, and internationally. So that the presence of citizen journalism using social media makes it a competitor as well as a complement in producing information for mass media institutions. GP Ansor (GP) is a youth, social, national, and religious organization with a populist character. This coaching and training were aimed at GP Ansor Youth, namely female students from the Sirrul Illahiyah Islamic Boarding School Batam to follow all the material that would be presented in this coaching activity, namely the basics of journalism, news writing, and press releases. As a result of this activity, participants gain knowledge and training on journalism, especially in making news and press releases that will be published by the media. The training activities were carried out by the service team for the female students of the Sirrul Illahiyah Islamic Boarding School in the Panaran plot of Tembesi Village for 5 days taking place as planned with 20 children participating. Everyone is enthusiastic and aware of journalism.

Abstract

AbstrakKampoeng Batik Batam Selaras memiliki potensi dalam pengembangan wisata Batik. Produk khas Batik Batam dapat memberikan pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi kreatif dan pariwisata. Dalam hal ini, melalui pemberdayaan ibu-ibu PKK dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan tambahan pendapatan ekonomi keluarga dan mengembangkan wisata batik. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pembinaan entrepreneuship terpadu untuk mencapai sasaran tersebut dengan cara memberikan pemahaman tentang konsep dasar, tujuan, dan key success menjadi entrepreneur. Selain itu, perlu adanya pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai salah satu media promosi dan pemahaman tentang komunikasi pemasaran terpadu dalam membangun sebuah usaha dan meningkatkan peluang batik khas Batam. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pembinaan sebanyak lima kali pertemuan melalui tatap muka secara langsung. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut telah menunjukkan ekspektasi dari tim pengabdian bahwa pembinaan entrepreneuship terpadu telah berhasil memberikan peningkatan soft skill para ibu-ibu PKK yang ada di Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras. Hal ini dapat terlihat setelah dilaksanakannya pembinaan ini mampu membuat kelompok batik menjadi lebih matang dalam berwirausaha dan mampu meningkatkan promosi batik khas Batam. Kata Kunci: Pembinaan, Entrepreneurship, Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras Abstract Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras has the potential to develop Batik tourism. Batam batik distinctive products can provide growth in the creative economy and tourism sectors. In this case, through the empowerment of PKK mothers can help in increasing the family's additional economic income and developing batik tourism. Therefore, there is a need for integrated entrepreneurship development to achieve these goals by providing an understanding of the basic concepts, goals, and key success of becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, there needs to be an understanding related to the use of social media as one of the promotional media and understanding of integrated marketing communication in building a business and increasing opportunities for batik Batam. This activity is carried out in the form of coaching five times through face-to-face meetings. The results of the implementation of these activities have shown the expectations of the dedication team that the fostering of integrated entrepreneurship has succeeded in increasing the soft skills of PKK women in Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras. This can be seen after the implication of this coachingis able to make batik groups become more mature in entrepreneurship and able to increase the promotion of batik Batam.
