Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai pakan alami terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan larva ikan depik (Rasbora tawarensis). Empat jenis pakan alami yang digunakan adalah chlorella, rotifera, tubifek dan infusoria. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Ikan yang digunakan adalah larva ikan depik dengan bobot rata-rata 0.0034±0.0015 g yang dipelihara dalam akuarium berukuran 30x20x25 cm3 dengan kepadatan 25 ekor/akuarium. Larva ikan depik dipelihara selama 14 hari dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan empat kali sehari secara at libitum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa larva yang diberi rotifera memperlihatkan kinerja pertumbuhan terbaik.

Abstract

Ikan Komet (Carassius auratus) merupakan salah satu ikan hias yang menarik, murah dan selalu memberi konsistensi hasil yang identik dengan induknya. Tetapi ikan tersebut dapat rusak dikarenakan beberapa unsur, salah satu unsur yang berperan untuk kerusakan dan timbulnya penyakit yaitu patogen seperti Argulus sp. Pengendalian Argulus sp. dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian antibiotik. Namun, pada saat ini penggunaannya dibatasi selain tingginya harga, bila pemberian antibiotik berlebihan juga dapat berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan ikan, maka dicari pengganti dengan menggunakan bahan alami buah mengkudu (Morinda citrofolia). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemberian perasan buah mengkudu dengan dosis yang tepat untuk pelepasan Argulus sp. pada tubuh ikan Komet dan berapa lama Argulus sp. akan mati setelah pemberian perasan buah mengkudu. Diharapkan perasan buah mengkudu dapat bermanfaat bagi kegiatan budidaya ikan komet sebagai salah satu bahan pengendalian parasit yang mudah dicari. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, tiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali sehingga terdiri atas 16 percobaan. Perlakuannya adalah P0 (tanpa perasan buah mengkudu), P1 (4 ml/L), P2 (4,5 ml/L), P3 (5 ml/L). Selain itu dilakukan pengukuran parameter kualitas air seperti suhu, pH dan DO, sebagai data pendukung penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan selama 15 hari menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan dosis perasan buah mengkudu terhadap pengendalian Argulus sp. tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap Survival rate ikan Komet dan mortalitas Argulus sp. sedangkan pada waktu dan persentase pelepasan Argulus sp. dan waktu kematian Argulus sp. menunjukkan hasil yang berpengaruh nyata. Comet Fish (Carassius auratus) is one of the attractive ornamental fish, cheap and always gives consistent results that are identical to the parent. But the fish can be damaged due to several elements, one of the elements that play a role in damage and the emergence of disease is pathogens such as Argulus sp. Control of Argulus sp. This can be done by giving antibiotics, however, at this time their use is limited in addition to the high price, if excessive antibiotics can also have a negative impact on the environment and fish, then a substitute is sought by using natural ingredients from mengkudu fruit (Morinda citrofolia). This study aims to analyze the administration of mengkudu juice with the right dose for the release of Argulus sp. on the body of Comet fish and how long Argulus sp. will die after giving mengkudu juice. It is hoped that the juice of the mengkudu fruit can be useful for comet fish cultivation activities as one of the easy-to-find parasite control materials. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 4 times so that it consisted of 16 trials. The treatments were P0 (without mengkudu juice), P1 (4 ml/L), P2 (4.5 ml/L), P3 (5 ml/L). In addition, water quality parameters such as temperature, pH and DO were measured as supporting data for the research. The results of the research that had been carried out for 15 days showed that the difference in the dose of mengkudu juice on the control of Argulus sp. did not significantly affect the survival rate of comet fish and the mortality of Argulus sp. while the time and percentage of release of Argulus sp. and the time of death of Argulus sp. show significant results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of adding mangrove mollusk flour to the growth of catfish. The hope is that mangrove mollusk flour can replace fish meal and soybean meal as a source of protein in feed. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (control), P2 (commercial feed + 50 g TMB), P3 (commercial feed + 100 g TMB), P4 (commercial feed + 150 g TMB), and P5 (commercial feed + 200 g TMB). . Parameters observed in this study were absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, amount of feed consumption, feed efficiency, survival rate and water quality (DO, pH and temperature). Based on the analysis of the Kruskall Wallis test, the dose of addition of mangrove mollusk flour had no significant effect (P>0.05) on all observation parameters. Meanwhile, data on water quality is still in need of catfish seeds.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya kualitas warna ikan cupang yang mitra peroleh dari agen, sehingga harga jual ikan cupang juga rendah. Setelah mengetahui permasalahan mitra, tim menawarkan solusi yaitu pelatihan enrichment Daphnia untuk memanipulasi pigmen warna ikan cupang. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada pemuda dan para penggiat ikan cupang di Gampong Teungoh, Kota Langsa tentang enrichment Daphnia sebagai pakan ikan cupang yang dapat meninngkatkan kecerahan warna ikan cupang. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan penjaringan mitra, pemberian materi tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kecerahan warna ikan cupang serta teknik enrichment pakan ikan cupang dan pelatihan teknik enrichment pakan ikan cupang. Mitra yang mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah pemuda gampong dan penggiat ikan cupang di Gampong Teungoh yang berjumlah 25 orang. Evaluasi keberhasilan pelatihan dihitung berdasarkan kepahaman para peserta terhadap materi pelatihan. Hasil yang dicapai dari pelatihan ini yaitu adanya peningkatan ketrampilan para pemuda dan penggiat ikan cupang dalam meningkatkan warna ikan cupang dan juga adanya peningkatan harga jual ikan yang telah diberikan pakan Daphnia yang telah di enrichment. Kata kunci: astaxhantin; daphnia; ikan cupang; kecerahan warna; pakan alami. ABSTRACTThe problem faced by partners is the low quality of betta fish colors that partners get from agents, so the selling price of betta fish is also low. After knowing the partners' problems, the team offered a solution, namely Daphnia enrichment training to manipulate betta fish color pigments. The purpose of this service is to provide training to youth and betta fish activists in Gampong Teungoh, Langsa City on the enrichment of Daphnia as betta fish food that can increase the brightness of the color of betta fish. The methods used were socialization and partner networking, providing material about the factors that affect the color brightness of betta fish and betta fish feed enrichment techniques and training on betta fish feed enrichment techniques. Partners who participated in this activity were village youth and betta fish activists in Teungoh Village, totaling 25 people. The evaluation of the success of the training is calculated based on the participants' understanding of the training material. The results achieved from this training are an increase in the skills of young people and betta fish activists in increasing the color of betta fish and also an increase in the selling price of fish that have been given enrichment Daphnia feed. Keywords: astaxhantin; daphnia; betta fish; color brightness; natural food

Abstract

Depik fish (Rasbora Tawarensis) is one of the endemic fish of Lake Laut Tawar which has high economic value. However, now Depik fish are in endangered status, so it is necessary to conserve Depik fish by one way, namely domestication. To carry out domestication, information is needed about proper feed management, one of which is feeding rate. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study included: feeding rates of 2% (A), 3% (B), 5 (C) and 7% (D). Parameters observed were absolute weight growth (PMB), absolute length growth (PPM), coefficient of diversity (KK) and water quality. The data analysis used was the F test and Duncan's test, while the water quality data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the two tests, it was found that the best feeding rate for the growth performance of Depik fish larvae was 5%. Water quality during the study was also considered normal for the life of Depik fish.

Abstract

Upaya untuk meningkatkan kematangan gonad induk ikan peres perlu adanya rangsangan baik melalui pakan maupun secara hormonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemberian hormon Oodev dan tepung kunyit pada pakan terhadap percepatan kematangan gonad ikan peres, Osteochilus kappeni. Metode yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu P-1 (pakan komersil), P-2 (pakan komersil + 3% tepung kunyit dan penyuntikan 0,5 mL Oodev), P-3 (pakan komersil + 3% tepung kunyit dan penyuntikan 1 mL Oodev), P-4 (pakan komersil + 3% tepung kunyit). Induk ikan peres yang digunakan berjumlah 12 ekor, setiap perlakuan digunakan tiga induk ikan peres betina dengan bobot sekitar 118 g. Parameter yang diamati yaitu pertambahan bobot mutlak (PBM), indeks kematangan gonad (IKG), fekunditas, tingkat kematangan gonad (TGK), dan diameter telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung kunyit dalam pakan dan penyuntikan hormon Oodev berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan P2, yaitu menghasilkan PBM sebesar 20,9 g; IKG sebesar 18,35%; fekunditas sebanyak 2.560 butir, dan diameter telur 1,10 mm. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kombinasi 0,5 mL hormon Oodev dan 3% tepung kunyit cukup untuk mempercepat kematangan gonad O. kappeni.Efforts to increase the gonad maturity of the peres broodfish require stimulation either through feed or hormonally. This study aimed to study the effects of feed supplemented with Oodev hormone and turmeric flour on accelerating gonadal maturity of Osteochilus kappeni. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replications. The treatment in this study were P-1 (commercial feed), P-2 (commercial feed+ 3% turmeric powder and injection 0.5 ml Oodev), P-3 (commercial feed + 3% turmeric flour and injection 1 mL Oodev), P-4 (commercial feed + 3% turmeric powder). Twelve adult fish were used in this study which each treatment was used three female fish weighted around 118 g. The parameters observed were absolute weight gain, gonad maturity index, fecundity, gonad maturity level, and egg diameter. The results showed that the administration of Oodev hormone and turmeric powder in feed had a significant effect on the measured parameters. The absolute weight showed the highest results in P2 treatment of 20.7 g. P2 treatment also had the highest gonad maturity index of 18.35%; best fecundity of up to 2,560 eggs; and the largest egg diameter of 1.10 mm. This study concludes that the combination of Oodev hormones and tumeric flour is sufficient to accelerate gonadal maturity of O. kappeni.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the different natural feeds on the maturnity of freshwater crayfish. The study was conducted on November 20th - January 21th 2021 in the UPTD BBI Lukup Badak, Takengon, Aceh Tengah. Test fish used is seed of cherax quadricarinatus measuring 52-75 g. Methods used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (Tubifex), P2 (505 tubifex, 255 carrots, and 25% sweet potatoes), P3 (50% tubifex, 25% bean sprouts, and 25% sweet potatoes), and P4 (50% tubifex, 25% papaya, and 25% sweet potatoes). Seeds of fish was put in a container maintenance with 42 liters of water volume and density of 1 tails per container. Frequency of feeding was 3 times a day at 08.00 am, 16.00 pm and 20.00 pm. The results showed that different natural feeding teratments had a very significant effect on the absolute weight and gonad maturity indexs (IKG).Keywords: Absolute weight; Cherax quadricarinatus; Gonad; Natural feed.

Abstract

Abstract : Mangrove is a vegetation that has many benefits. One of them, mangrove provide living space to many organism. Crabs are one of a wide variety of invertebrate animals that live in association with mangroves. The importance of the role of crabs in the mangrove ecosystem because the crab is a burrowing organism, so it will support the mangrove land becomes fertile. This study aims to determine the diversity of crabs, dominant or most commonly found crab species and crab living habitats associated with mangrove trees around Kuala Langsa mangrove forest, Langsa City, Aceh. This research is only descriptive. Sampling is done by 2 methods that is qualitative in quadrant plot 5x5 meter2 and quantitative in quadrant plot 1x1 meter2. From the results of the study found 15 species of crabs from 7 genera and 5 families. The index value of diversity for all research stations was included in the medium category. The uniformity index is high and there is no type dominance on all stations. Of the 15 types of crabs, there are 3 types of economical crabs (Scylla serrata, Scylla olivacea and Thalamita crenata) and 12 types of non-economical crabs. In general, the crabs of the Genus Uca are the most commonly found crabs in the study sites. Keywords: Aceh, Biodiversity, Crabs, Kuala Langsa,  Mangrove  Abstrak : Mangrove merupakan suatu vegetasi yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Salah satu dari manfaat mangrove adalah menyediakan ruang hidup bagi banyak organisme. Kepiting merupakan salah satu dari berbagai jenis hewan avertebrata yang hidup berasosiasi dengan mangrove. Pentingnya peran kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove karena kepiting merupakan hewan yang hidup meliang, sehingga akan membuat tanah pada ekosistem mangrove menjadi subur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis kepiting, jenis kepiting yang mendominasi atau paling sering ditemukan dan habitat hidup kepiting yang berasosiasi dengan pohon mangrove di sekitar hutan mangrove Kuala Langsa, Kota Langsa, Aceh.Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan 2 metode yaitu kualitatif pada kuadran plot 5x5 meter2  dan kuantitatif pada kuadran plot 1x1 meter2. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 15 jenis kepiting dari 7 genus dan 5 famili.Nilai indeks keanekaragaman untuk semua stasiun penelitian termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Indeks keseragaman tinggi dan tidak ada dominansi jenis pada seluruh stasiun.Dari 15 jenis kepiting, terdapat 3 jenis kepiting ekonomis (Scylla serrata, Scylla olivacea dan Thalamita crenata) dan 12 jenis kepiting non-ekonomis.Secara umum, kepiting dari genus Uca merupakan kepiting yang paling banyak ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Kata kunci: Aceh, Keanekaragaman, Kepiting, Kuala Langsa, Mangrove

Abstract

Ikan depik ialah ikan yang hanya terdapat di Danau Laut Tawar Aceh Tengah yang sedang dalam pengembangan untuk didomestikasikan. Namun dari hasil beberapa penelitian, pertumbuhan ikan depik tergolong lambat, sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. Salah satu cara untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan ikan depik adalah dengan induksi hormonal, melalui perendaman hormon tiroksin. Tujuan riset ini adalah mengevaluasi performa pertumbuhan dan sintasan ikan depik yang direndam hormon tiroksin dengan perbedaan lama perendaman. Riset ini dilaksanakan di Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Lukup Badak, Aceh Tengah menggunakan metode eksperimental rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali pengulangan. Perlakuan pada riset ini ialah perbedaan lama perendaman hormon tiroksin, yaitu: tanpa perendaman (P-1), 12 jam (P-2), 24 jam (P-3), dan 36 jam (P-4). Sementara dosis hormon tiroksin yang digunakan adalah 0,1 mg L-1. Perendaman dilakukan menggunakan stoples bervolume 16 L untuk 20 ekor benih ikan depik hasil pembenihan berukuran 3,17 ± 0,09 cm. Pemeliharaan benih ikan dilakukan menggunakan styrofoam berukuran 70 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm sesuai dengan perlakuan, selama 40 hari dengan padat penebaran 20 ekor/wadah. Parameter pengamatan yaitu pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, efisiensi, dan intake pakan, serta sintasan. Data hasil pengamataan dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian dan Duncan. Hasil yang diperoleh memperlihatkan perendaman tiroksin pada benih ikan depik memberikan pertumbuhaan tertinggi pada perlakuan perendaman 24 jam, sementara pertumbuhan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (0 jam perendaman). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa lama perendaman hormon tiroksin terbaik pada ikan depik adalah 24 jam.Depik (Rasbora tawarensis) is an endemic fish in Lake Laut Tawar, Central Aceh currently undergone domestication programs. Results from several domestication studies showed that the growth of depik fish is relatively slow and therefore needs to be stimulated. Hormonal induction, through immersion of the thyroxine hormone could be used to speed up the growth of depik fish. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the growth and survival performance of depik immersed in thyroxine hormone with differences in immersion time. This research was conducted at the Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Lukup Badak, Central Aceh using an experimental method arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments in this study were different immersion times in 0.1 mg L-1 thyroxine hormone solution set as follows: no immersion-control (P-1), 12 hours (P-2), 24 hours (P-3), and 36 hours (P-4). The immersion method was carried out using transparent plastic jars with a volume of 16 L. Each jar was filled with 20 depik fish fries produced from a hatchery with an average total body length of 3.17 ± 0.09 cm. After submersion, the fish were stocked in styrofoam containers sized 70 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm based on their treatments groups and reared for 40 days. The parameters observed included absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, amount of feed consumption, feed efficiency, and survival. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA test and continued with Duncan’s test. The results showed that thyroxine immersion in depik fish fry gave the highest growth was produced in the treatment of 24-hour immersion, while the lowest growth was found in the control treatment (0-hours immersion). So it can be concluded that the best thyroxine hormone immersion time in depik fish is 24 hours.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.) as a control for Argulus sp. on koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) and analyzed the appropriate concentration of papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.) for the release of Argulus sp. on the body of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio). The method used is an experimental laboratory with a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments were P1 (8 ml), P2 (10 ml), P3 (12 ml), P4 (14 ml) with three replications. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the immersion of papaya leaf extract had a significant (P>0.05) effect on the release time of Argulus sp., Argulus sp.death time, Argulus sp.'s mortality, while it had no significant effect (P<0.05) on survival rate ( SR). The best papaya leaf extract for controlling Argulus sp. in koi fish, namely in treatment P4 (14 ml) with an average time of death 8 minutes 90seconds.
