Abstract

After conducting initial observations at SMK Negeri 8 Denpasar, it was discovered that the students' learning outcomes in cultural arts subjects were relatively low. Therefore, the researcher decided to conduct further study using the PTK (Classroom Action Research) approach method. The aim of implementing the PTK method was to enhance students' understanding of the cultural arts subject through a cooperative learning model known as "learning together," with the goal of improving student learning outcomes. The PTK method involved 2 cycles, with each cycle consisting of 4 stages. The research subjects were the 35 students of class XII Mipa-4 at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. Data was collected using performance assessment and observation methods. The collected data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method, which aimed to examine the entire cultural arts learning process. Additionally, a qualitative method was applied to analyze the results of the assessment of student performance by comparing the average value of the completeness of learning outcomes. Following the analysis, it was observed that in cycle I, the highest and lowest scores for students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar class XII Mipa-4 were 85 and 60, respectively, with a class average score of 71. However, in cycle II, the highest and lowest scores increased to 95 and 80, and the class average score rose to 88. Furthermore, in cycle II, all students achieved scores above the minimum completeness level. This indicated a significant improvement in student scores from cycle I to cycle II.

Abstract

Boredom in the learning process is often reflected in low student participation, which results in feelings of boredom, fatigue, lethargy, and lack of enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Kahoot learning media in reducing boredom in learning the Art and Culture subject in class X students of SMAN 8 Denpasar. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of the analysis showed that the average student boredom score decreased from the initial condition of 68.6 to 59.8 in cycle I, and then decreased again to 46.9 in cycle II. The decrease of 32% from cycle I to cycle II shows that the application of Kahoot as an interactive learning media is able to create a more interesting and enjoyable learning experience. The attractive visual characteristics and interactive features in Kahoot have been shown to increase student focus and engagement during the learning process. Thus, the use of technology and interactive media such as Kahoot can create a more dynamic and participatory learning atmosphere, and can increase students' enthusiasm for learning in the subject of Arts and Culture at SMAN 8 Denpasar.

Abstract

This research examines the management of preserving traditional Balinese arts, especially the Rejang Dance, which was developed and preserved by the Balinese people. The aim of the research is to understand the form of management carried out by the community in an effort to preserve the Rejang dance in Bali. In this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative and data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the results of this research provide various forms of conservation management such as; (1) history of Rejang dance; (2) supporting factors for Rejang dance performances, as well as (3) management efforts to preserve Rejang dance. Management of Rejang Dance performances by the Balinese people includes maintaining the musical instruments that accompany Rejang dance performances (gamelan), consistency in maintaining traditions, readiness for performances in traditional and modern realms, as well as collaborative innovation with other musical performances. In conclusion, efforts to preserve the Rejang Dance involve various parties and strategies, creating continuity of traditional culture in Bali.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide a solution to the problem of lack of understanding and skills of teachers in designing interesting and relevant digital learning content, in order to improve teacher professional competence and student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Sukawati. The implementation of the activity is carried out through two main stages, namely training and mentoring. In the training stage, teachers are given a conceptual understanding and practical skills in using various digital applications such as Canva, CapCut, and Powtoon to create interactive learning media. The next stage is technical mentoring which is carried out periodically to ensure that teachers are able to implement the training results in the learning process in the classroom. The results of the activity show a significant increase in teacher competence in creating digital learning content and the formation of several learning video products as real outputs of the training. In addition, this activity encourages the integration of digital content in the Merdeka Curriculum in a more systematic and sustainable manner. Thus, this community service activity has a real positive impact in supporting technology-based educational transformation in the school environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of arts and culture teachers in fostering student learning interest in the digital age. Arts education is crucial for shaping the character and creativity of the younger generation amidst rapid technological developments. As educators and mentors, arts teachers have a significant responsibility to connect advances in digital technology with traditional cultural values. This study conducted qualitative research involving observations and in-depth interviews with arts teachers in schools and arts education institutions. The results indicate that dance, visual arts, and music teachers not only teach arts skills but also encourage students to use digital technology for innovative artistic expression and to appreciate and preserve local culture. Furthermore, teachers are responsible for developing digital platforms that enable students to access arts resources from around the world. They are also responsible for creating learning environments that are more in line with technological advancements. This research demonstrates that enhancing digital skills for art teachers is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and the relevance of traditional arts in the digital age. Furthermore, the results are expected to provide insights into creating arts education curricula that are more adaptive to changing times, particularly considering the challenges of increasing globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Blended Learning method in improving students’ ability to master the material on analyzing works of Nusantara art and culture in class X TKJ 1 at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. It also aims to describe how the implementation of Blended Learning affects student motivation and engagement in learning. Blended Learning is an instructional approach that combines face-to-face learning with online learning, offering flexibility, interactivity, and a student-centered learning environment. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 32 students from class X TKJ 1 SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included learning achievement tests, student response questionnaires, and observation sheets. The results showed that the implementation of the Blended Learning method effectively improved student learning outcomes. The average score increased from 64.78 in the pre-cycle to 73.28 in cycle I, and reached 83.53 in cycle II. Additionally, students' learning responses improved significantly, as indicated by increased observation scores and positive questionnaire results in each cycle. These findings confirm that Blended Learning is effective in enhancing both the cognitive abilities and affective engagement of students in the subject of Art and Culture. Therefore, Blended Learning can be considered an effective alternative strategy for improving the quality of Art and Culture education, particularly in the context of 21st-century learning that demands the integration of technology and adaptive approaches.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the learning of the material "Understanding the Concepts, Types, and Functions of Creative Music" through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research was conducted in two cycles in class XII Science 4 SMA N 8 Denpasar. Data collection methods involve observation, tests, and analysis of learners' learning outcomes. At the beginning of the study, observations showed that students faced difficulties in understanding the concepts, types, and functions of music creations. Therefore, this classroom action research is designed to integrate PBL as a primary learning approach. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the application of PBL significantly increased students' understanding of creative music material. In addition, interaction between students has also increased, illustrating the existence of collaboration in solving problems related to the concept of creative music. Post-test results show consistent improvement from cycle to cycle. This research can be concluded that, the PBL model is effective in increasing students' understanding of the concepts, types, and functions of music creation. The implications of this research can be used as a reference for the development of more innovative and problem-solving oriented learning strategies in the context of creative music art materials.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the public speaking skills of students and community members through a training program conducted as part of the Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia (UPMI) Social Service Program in Singapadu Kaler Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. This program was motivated by the low level of self-confidence and public communication skills among students and the local community in social and academic activities. The implementation method applied a participatory empowerment approach consisting of socialization, training, practice and mentoring, and evaluation stages. The training was conducted through interactive lectures, simulations, direct practice, and continuous feedback. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test, performance observation, and self-confidence questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ abilities in terms of content delivery, speaking fluency, use of body language, and self-confidence when speaking in public. Participants also demonstrated better skills in structuring messages systematically and delivering ideas more effectively. This program had a positive impact on enhancing the communication competence of both students and community members as a provision for academic activities, organizational involvement, and social participation. Therefore, public speaking training is proven to be an effective effort to strengthen soft skills and empower human resources in Singapadu Kaler Village.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) termasuk kategori media berbasis audio visual membantu memahami materi yang diajarkan guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode TPACK dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan respon siswa memahami pembelajaran Seni Tari Kreasi kelas X 6 SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua siklus pada setiap siklus terdiri dari empat kegiatan yaitu : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi serta teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan metode tes tindakan.Dalam penelitian ini, analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskriftif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian sebelum menggunakan metode TPACK nilai rata – rata adalah 63,20 dengan presentase ketuntasan 14,28%, setelah pelaksanaan siklus I nilai rata – rata siswa meningkat menjadi 73,85% dengan presentase ketuntasan 26,53% dan siklus II nilai rata – rata siswa meningkat menjadi 87,38 dengan presentase kelulusan 100%.Hasil respon siswa terhadap penggunaan metode TPACK untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa memahami pembelajaran seni sangat tinggi. Terbukti dari nilai respon siswa pada siklus I ke siklus ke II yang meningkat. Pada siklus I nilai rata – rata siswa mencapai 76,85 dengan presentase ketuntasan 50% dan meningkat menjadi 83,18 dengan presentase keberhasilan 100%.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan penggunaan metode TPACK dapat meningkatkan kemampuandan respon siswa memahami pembelajaran Seni Tari Kreasi X 6 SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 dengan ketuntasan 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan kendala yang dihadapi siswa kelas X ST 2 SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar dalam praktek Tata Rias Penari Putri Halus melalui penerapan Metode Demontrasi. Subyek Penelitian ini adalah adalah siswa kelas X ST 2 SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 berjumlah 22 orang siswa. Teknik Pengumpulan data terdapat dalam penelitian yaitu menggunakan Metode Wawancara dan Observasi dalam analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya upaya Penerapan Demontrasi dalam pembelajaran Tata Rias Penari Putri Halus Siswa Kelas X ST 2 SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya rata-rata nilai siswa dari 69% pada prasiklus, menjadi 84 pada siklus I, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 89 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan klasikal juga meningkat dari 45% Pada prasiklus, menjadi 72% pada siklus I , dan mencapai 100% pada siklus II. Selain itu kendala-kendala siswa seperti kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap teknik dalam praktek, Kurangnya ketersediaan alat dan bahan dalam praktek tata rias penari putri halus , kurang nya rasa percaya diri dan minat siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran praktek Tata Rias Penari Putri Halus.
