Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the best slack bus placement during peak loads by considering the voltage profile of the generator buses in the South Sulawesi electricity system. Analysis was performed to determine the optimal slack bus placement and its impact on the bus voltage profile. South Sulawesi's electric power system is made up of 29 power-generating units, including PLTA, PLTU, PLTG, PLTGU, PLTMH, PLTD, and PLTB, that operate at a voltage of 150 kV. In addition, 56 substations are linked via a 150 kV transmission network. This study relies on daily operational data from the South Sulawesi system at peak load on September 16, 2022. Using Matlab's Newton-Raphson method to simulate power flow, five scenarios are used to alternately change the generator bus (PV bus) into a slack bus; the generators are PLTA Bakaru, Punagaya PLTU, Jeneponto PLTU, Sengkang PLTU, and Poso PLTA. After running simulations for each generator, it was discovered that Poso PLTA had the voltage profile closest to the standard set by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation number 20 of 2020, which ranges between 0.90 and 1.05 pu. In comparison to the other four slack buses, it had the lowest total power loss of 120,743 MW and 593,764 MW MVAR.

Abstract

There are several types of photovoltaic system configurations, one of which is the on-grid PV system. This system is simple compared to other systems. Because there are two different energy sources that can supply the load either together or separately, an analysis of how the irradiation affects the electrical parameters on the load side or the grid itself is required. The goal of this research is to examine the performance of on-grid PV under various irradiation variation, type, and load power to power factor, grid frequency, and load conditions. To measure the performance of on-grid PV, parameter calculations are carried out in the form of PV efficiency, final yield, reference yield, and performance ratio, and the results of measurements of power factor, grid frequency, and load are observed due to variations in irradiation, type, and load power. The results show that the performance of on-grid PV is good; low irradiation can result in a decrease in the grid power factor, while the grid and load frequencies are in normal conditions for various variations of irradiation, type, and load power.

Abstract

Bay Line Parepare - Suppa uses relay distance as the main safety. With a short transmission line distance, a reliable protection system is needed to overcome disturbances that occur in the system. With the development of time, and also to further improve the main transmission safety, the distance relay as the main protection is replaced with LCD (Line Current Differential) with changes in SPLN T5.002: 2010 to SPLN T5.002: 2021. This study aims to characterize the impedance value, the results of the SIR (Source Impedance Ratio) process and the effect of revenue obtained in replacing the main protection of the Parepare - Suppa bay line from relay distance to LCD (Line Current Differential) relay. Based on the calculation of the impedance seen in the relay distance on the Parepare - Suppa high voltage overhead line, the results are very small (0.1286 - 0.321 ohms). The results of the analysis show that the Source Impedance Ratio (SIR) obtained on the Parepare - Suppa conductor is 4.015 Ohm, while after replacing the relay, the gain or profit obtained is Rp. 1,112,340,880, -

Abstract

Sistem distribusi listrik berperan penting dalam menjaga kontinuitas dan kualitas pasokan energi. Di wilayah PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Kotamobagu, pengoperasian Gardu Induk (GI) Molibagu yang baru menunjukkan pola operasi yang belum optimal, ditandai dengan penurunan tegangan dan meningkatnya susut daya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan pola operasi jaringan distribusi 20 kV pasca beroperasinya GI Molibagu melalui simulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak ETAP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simulasi aliran daya (load flow) menunjukkan bahwa sistem eksisting menghasilkan beban sebesar 39,703 MW dengan rugi-rugi daya (losses) sebesar 2,45 MW atau 6,17%. Hasil ini dibandingkan dengan perhitungan manual menggunakan formula Jogja yang menghasilkan susut sebesar 6,14%, di mana selisih 1,75% masih berada dalam batas toleransi (<10%). Simulasi lanjutan dilakukan untuk menganalisis aliran beban eksisting dan mengoptimalkan switching melalui metode Optimalisasi Switching guna mendapatkan konfigurasi jaringan yang lebih efisien. Hasil optimalisasi menunjukkan peningkatan kinerja sistem distribusi melalui penurunan losses dari 2,45 MW menjadi 2,359 MW, atau terjadi penghematan sebesar 0,091 MW. Persentase susut daya turun dari 6,17% menjadi 5,94%, atau terjadi penurunan sebesar 0,23%.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) ULP Moutong UP3 Tolitoli memiliki enam penyulang outgoing pada sistem distribusi 20 kV yang disuplai oleh Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel (PLTD). Pada tahun 2023, neraca daya sistem Moutong–Kotaraya lebih sering berada dalam kondisi defisit dibandingkan kondisi normal, sehingga dilakukan penambahan kapasitas pembangkit sebesar 3 MW di PLTD Bolano. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dampak penambahan pembangkit terhadap susut daya di ULP Moutong. Metode yang digunakan adalah simulasi aliran daya dengan perangkat lunak ETAP 16.0.6 pada kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penambahan pembangkit dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan pola operasi sesuai realisasi di lapangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tegangan rata-rata pada busbar mengalami peningkatan, susut daya justru naik sebesar 0,72% dari 4,33% menjadi 5,05% karena perubahan pola operasi tidak diimbangi dengan penyesuaian konfigurasi jaringan. Peningkatan susut ini setara dengan kehilangan energi sebesar 230.351 kWh/tahun atau sekitar Rp. 921.177.253/tahun, yang menegaskan perlunya strategi optimalisasi operasi dan pengembangan jaringan untuk menekan rugi-rugi daya.
