Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in January 2018 in the fishing gear laboratory, Utilization of Fishery Resources Department, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the current on the appearance of jermal fishing gear and the ideal current velocity for jermal fishing gear. Measurement of the current velocity in the flume tank at the start of the 5-50 Hz frequency measured using a current meter device, obtained the lowest speed of 2.7cm / sec and the highest 47.2 cm / sec indicates a positive correlation, the higher the frequency used, the more high current velocity generated. The result of this research is the higher the current velocity, the higher the position of the capture device from the bottom of the water, the left and right shift position, the period of up and down movement and the period of left-right movement of the jermal fishing gear and the ideal current velocity for the jermal fishing gear that obtained in this study is 11.1 cm/sec, because at this speed all the capture part is open, and also the value of the movement and the resulting period is small.Keyword: current velocity, jermal fishing gear, flume tank

Abstract

ABSTRACK                This research takes Kuala Terusan Village as a case study on the study of fishing port facilities requirement. On February 2018 a measurement was conducted, aim to find out type and size or capacity fishing ports facilities which need tousing survey method. The village of Kuala Terusan is one of seven villages in Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district. Kuala Terusan village is a village that has a river in the upstream, this is why the river does not have a wave. Asresult of analysis of secondary data and primary that we conducted, requirement of facility landing place of fish are needed several facilities namelydock unloading, place of fish auction, fresh or clean air tank, oil fuel tank, shipyard and ice storage. Therefore, based on the researach finding, fishery port of Kuala Terusan village can be classified as an upstream river port. Upper River Port is a port located on a deep and wide river so that the vessel can enter upstream. Furthermore, the result of the research indicated that the length of loading docks required is 72.50 meters, 16.35meter length unloading dock. Extensive fish auction hall 50.9 meter2, capacity needs supplies [B1] amounting to fuel around [B2] 549 liters, 3394.5 liters fresh water tank and capacity 858 kilograms ice plants. From the results obtained that fishing ports be recommended is of type D is referred to as Fish Landing Base (PPI) or Fish Landing Place.Type jetty dock built will form a letter T which has a length of 72.50 meters, but due to location to be built dock is in the waters of the river that has a distance of 80 to 90 meters. Therefore the size of the dock to be built is divided into two and widen the size of the dock area so that can be used on the left and right side of the pier, with the length of the dock to be 36.25 meters. Keywords : Facility Type, Size Facilities, Fishing Port

Abstract

ABSTRACTDevelopment of tools cather fish mush be selective to decrease the insignifcant fish get caught, so the fish that caught already fulfill the criteria of eligible catch fish. This research was conducted in Alai Village, Meranti Islands Regency, as a purpose to analyst the gillnet selectivity level of 3 inches and 4 inches. The results show that the 3 inch mesh size the higher the catch size (above 20 cm) the lower the capture ratio and the 4 inch mesh size the higher the catch size (above 20 cm) the higher the catch ratio. Keywords : Gill Nets , Lomek Fish, How to Catch Fish, Nets Selectivity

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research will be conducted in July 2021 in Meskom Village, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to determine productivity, calculate investment, calculate fixed and variable costs, and analyze the business feasibility of gombang fishing gear. The method used in this research is a survey method by making observations and observations directly into the field with structured interview techniques. The method used in this research is census taking. Samples were taken as much as 1 person from 30 fishermen who use gombang fishing gear in Meskom Village. During the research at Meskom Village, the productivity on November 3, 2020 was 15 kg and the CPU was 3.75 kg. The collection of gombang catches in Meskom Village is carried out in 1 day and one night for 4 hauling times, namely at two times the tide and two receding times that occur at night and during the day. The details of the feasibility calculation for the wave fishery business are as follows:Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) is 1.9, which means B / C> 1, so the gombang fishery business is feasible to continue. The Financial Rate of Return (FRR) obtained from this gombang fishery business is 1%.The payback period of capital (PPC) is 1.3, which means that the time required for capital recovery is 1 year and 3 monthsKeywords: Produtivity; Feasibility; Gombang; in Meskom Village

Abstract

ABSTRACK The Kambang fish landing base in West Sumatra Province is one of the centers for capture fisheries activities, starting from filling supplies to fishing fleets. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to apply sanitation in the technical service of the Kambang Fishing Port (PPI) in West Sumatra Province and see how the supervision of the implementation of sanitation in the technical service of the Kambang Fish Base Port (PPI) in West Sumatra. The research was conducted using a survey method, namely direct observation of objects in the form of sanitation management in the PPI Kambang technical service to respondents by distributing questionnaires. This research procedure went through two stages which were carried out in a structured manner, namely the data collection stage and the data analysis stage. The data taken are interview and observation data, then the data is analyzed descriptively, from the analysis it is obtained that it shows that the implementation of sanitation at the PPI Kambang port of West Sumatra is quite good, it can be seen from the assessment of the condition of facilities and infrastructure which is at a value of 4.2 with good criteria.Keyword : Sanitation, Technical Service Unit, Fish Landing Base
