Abstract

Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB) terletak di Kecamatan Kertajati, salah satu kecamatan yang berada di utara Kabupaten Majalengka mulai diresmikan pertengahan 2018 dan sudah beroperasi sekitar satu tahun hingga saat ini. Namun dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap wilayah sekitarnya saat ini masih belum diketahui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terkait dampak positif dan negatif dari BIJB terhadap wilayah sekitarnya saat ini sebagai rekomendasi untuk pengembanga BIJB dan wilayah sekitarnya. Metode deksriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan materi pertanyaan terkait dampak bandara terhadap wilayah sekitarnya pada wawancara dengan perwakilan 14 perangkat desa di Kecamatan Kertajati Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa dampak BIJB terhadap wilayah sekitarnya memberikan 3 dampak sosial dan ekonomi yang positif, memberikan 6 dampak sosial negatif namun hanya memberikan 1 dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini kepada pemerintah adalah meningkatkan dampak positif dan mengurangi dampak negatif yang akan muncul saat ini atau di masa yang akan datang dari BIJB terhadap wilayah sekitarnya berdasarkan dampak-dampak yang telah diidentifikasi dan diketahui arahnya dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengkaji faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh pada pengembangan wilayah berbasis bandara berdasarkan pada kondisi eksisting BIJB dan wilayah sekitarnya; (2) Mengetahui perspektif pemangku kepentingan berupa pemerintah provinsi dan pemerintah kabupaten terkait konsep pengembangan wilayah berbasis bandara yang sebaiknya didahulukan; (3) Memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan BIJB dan wilayah sekitarnya berdasarkan konsep pengembangan wilayah yang sebaiknya didahulukan berdasarkan perspektif pemerintah provinsi dan pemerintah kabupaten. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh diperoleh melalui tinjauan pustaka. Lalu metode yang digunakan adalah importance performance analysisdengan perolehan data melalui wawancara dengan pemerintah untuk mengetahui persepsi pemangku kepentingan mengenai variabel apa yang sebaiknya didahulukan untuk kemajuan BIJB dan wilayah sekitarnya. Hasilnya dari 37 variabel yang diperoleh melalui tinjauan pustaka terpilih variabel integrasi, tata guna lahan, kawasan bisnis dan 7 variabel lainnya yang menurut pemerintah provinsi & kabupaten menjadi prioritas pertama. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah perbaikan variabel yang belum sesuai dengan konsep pengembangan wilayah berbasis bandara oleh pemerintah. Perlu dilakukan koordinasi untuk mewujudkan variabel prioritas pertama menurut pemerintah pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

Waste collection and transportation are essential elements of effective waste management. However, despite their importance, previous studies have highlighted several challenges, such as routing inefficiencies and environmental concerns. This study seeks to develop an optimized approach for waste collection and transportation under conditions of demand uncertainty, capacity limitations, and traffic constraints, through the application of a simheuristics-based method. The methodology utilizes a simheuristics approach, integrating a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to determine optimal routing solutions, while employing Discrete Event Simulation (DES) to incorporate key economic, environmental, and social variables. Data were obtained from field experiments and Google Maps, and assumptions regarding capacity requirements, distances and collection points, transportation cost components, and road conditions were established to ensure the reliability of the simulation results. The application of the simheuristics approach effectively reduces total transportation costs by approximately 51%, while also significantly minimizing environmental impacts. This research contributes to the academic literature by presenting an innovative method that strengthens existing waste collection strategies with an emphasis on sustainability. Additionally, it offers valuable insights for waste management policy, enabling the optimization of waste collection without exceeding capacity limits.

Abstract

Indonesia has approximately 7,000 rivers, most of which have experienced significant degradation in quality and are in alarming conditions. Many cities in Indonesia have historically developed along riverbanks, making the decline of these waterways particularly concerning. The deterioration of river quality and riverbank areas is attributed to various factors, including pollution, deforestation, and the uncontrolled disposal of industrial and domestic waste. These issues not only threaten the health of river ecosystems but also jeopardize the sustainability of communities that depend on these natural resources and contribute to various urban challenges. Communities residing in riverbank settlements are among the most affected by these environmental issues. Therefore, they require clear and accurate information regarding the dangers of pollution and the importance of maintaining river cleanliness. This research is conducted in qualitative approach with descriptive analysis technique. This study examines the development of riverbank areas in Indonesian cities by referring to the stages of waterfront development proposed by Wrenn (1983). Additionally, it explores the concept of riverfront tourism as a form of urban regeneration and urban tourism development. The regeneration of riverbank areas for tourism purposes is expected to raise awareness among stakeholders regarding the social and environmental significance of these areas. If properly developed, riverfront tourism can contribute to the enhancement of destination quality, fostering sustainable and competitive tourism development.
