Abstract

Literasi informasi dalam setiap aspek pengetahuan dan pembelajaran sangat penting untuk terus dikembangkan, khususnya untuk pembelajaran agama Islam. Gerakan literasi informasi perlu ditanamkan dalam setiap jenjang pendidikan sejak dini di bangku sekolah, tujuannya untuk mendidik siswa agar ‘melek’ terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan khususnya pengetahuan agama Islam. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini menggambarkan bagaimana model keterampilan literasi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di Kota Padang. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan wawancara langsung dengan komunitas Majlis Guru Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (MGMP-PAI) tingkat SMA se kota padang yang beranggotakan 50 orang dan 3 pengawas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Guru PAI tingkat SMA perlu mengoptimalkan keterampilan literasi informasi agar dapat menyebarkan pengetahuan agama dari berbagai sumber informasi yang akurat dan terbebas dari “hoax information”. Selain itu, terdapat empat model keterampilan literasi informasi guru dalam penelusuran informasi ilmiah yaitu skill mengidentifikasi fakta atau hoax, skill literasi informasi dalam pembelajaran, skill teknik penulisan ilmiah, dan skil temu balik informasi.ABSTRACTInformation literacy in every aspect of knowledge and learning is very important to continue to be developed, particularly for Islamic religious learning. Information literacy needs to be instilled in every level of education in school, the aim is to educate students to be 'literate' towards the development of science, especially Islamic religious knowledge. This descriptive qualitative research illustrates how the model of information literacy skills of Islamic religious education teachers in Padang City. The research data were obtained through questionnaires and direct interviews with the Majlis Community Teachers of Islamic Religious Education Subjects (MGMP-PAI) at the high school level in Padang city with total of 50 members and 3 supervisors. The study indicated that Islamic religious education teachers in high school level need to optimize their information literacy skills so that they can spread religious knowledge from various sources of information that are accurate and free from "hoax". In addition, there are four models of information literacy skills in searching for scientific information, namely the skill of identifying facts or hoaxes, information literacy skills in learning, scientific writing technical skills, and information retrieval skills.

Abstract

The tradition of “mambuka Kapalo Banda” is one of knowledge culture in Kanagarian Malalo. “mambuka Kapalo Banda” is still being carried out because the indenous people stiil feel the venue and meaning captured from this tradition. The values taken from local knowledge have relevance to the planting of cultural values and Islamic values, so that this tradition needs to be continually managed and preserved by the local government. Instill the cultural values seen in this “mambuka kapalo Banda” in Malalo warrior.

Abstract

Pada bagian abtrak dijelaskan bahwa artikel ini membahas mengenai sensor dan tantangan perpustakaan dalam penyebarluasan informasi pada Perpustakaan di Negeria. Pustakawan melalui asosiasi profesional telah lama berkomitmen untuk Prinsip keadilan sosial yang menjamin akses gratis ke informasi. Sensor menjadi tantangan eksternal secara jelas bagi perpustakaan, menimbulkan kekhawatiran dari dalam diri pustakawan dan secara tidak sadar terjadi di Perpustakaan. Pustakawan memberikan layanan secara inklusi tanpa  mendiskriminasi pengguna perpustakaan dan tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, kelompok etnis, kebangsaan, kondisi sosial, agama atau opini politik. Dalm hal ini menyimpulkan bagi pustakawan untuk memberikan tingkat pelayanan tertinggi melalui sopan, cepat, memadai, terampil, akurat dan cepat dalam menanggapi permintaan pengguna.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMahasiswa saat ini, terutama dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh selama masa pandemi covid 19 semakin bergantung pada Web untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mereka dalam perkuliahan. Pada saat yang sama, mahasiswa tanpa disadari kekurangan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi kredibilitas aktual informasi sebagai aspek penting dari literasi informasi. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil pengamatan ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa justru sangat jarang menelusur informasi secara online melalui akses database perpustakaan digital, mahasiswa lebih cenderung menggunakan mesin telusur umum dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan sebuah survei online yang dirancang untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara evaluasi kritis informasi online, sebagai unsur penting dari literasi informasi dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menggambarkan kompetensi literasi informasi mahasiswa ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi yang aktif dalam masa pembelajaran jarak jauh masa pandemi covid 19 pada dua universitas yang berbeda. Secara umum hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya setengah dari jumlah sample yang menerapkan kemampuan literasi informasi selama kuliah daring pada tugas praktikum. Mahasiswa cenderung melakukan pencarian informasi dengan cepat namun belum memanfaatkan strategi pencarian informasi dan sumber informasi yang dipelajari selama mata kuliah Literasi Informasi. Oleh karena itu kemampuan literasi informasi harus tetap dikombinasikan penerapannya pada mata kuliah lain terutama yang ada kuliah praktikum.Kata kunci: Literasi informasi, Literasi media, Pencari informasi Mahasiswa, Elearning, Pendidikan jarak jauh, dan Berpikir kritis.ABSTRACTStudent Today's, especially in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, increasingly rely on the Web to meet their information needs in lectures. At the same time, students unwittingly lack the critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate the actual credibility of information as an important aspect of information literacy. Furthermore, based on the results of observations, it was found that students rarely searched for information online through access to digital library databases.  students are more likely to use general search engines to fulfill their information needs. This study used an online survey designed to explore the relationship between critical evaluation of online information, as an important element of information literacy in distance learning. This study describes the information literacy competencies of library and information science students who are active in the distance learning period during the COVID-19 pandemic at two different universities. In general, the results of the study show that only half of the sample applies information literacy skills during online lectures on practicum assignments. Students tend to search for information quickly but have not made use of the information retrieval strategies and sources of information learned during the Information Literacy course.  Therefore, information literacy skills must be combined with its application in other subjects, especially those with practicum courses. Keywords: information literacy, media literacy, student information search, e learning, distance education, and critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the availability of a collection of compulsory subject teaching materials in the Library Science study program at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This quantitative research uses the checklist method. The research data was obtained from the RPKS/Syllabus reading list for compulsory subjects and interviews. The results of this study include an explanation of the collection based on the type of subject of the collection, the language of the collection, and the percentage of the availability of the collection to the needs of Lecturers at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol. The results of this study indicate that the types of collections used in the 2018/2021 Academic Year are 75% of English Language Textbooks and Special Guidelines related to Library Science, especially in Processing Collections both Internationally and from the National Library. Data analysis shows that the number of reading lists of 20 compulsory subjects in the study program is 172 titles, with an average of 1-2 copies originating from purchases and gifts if more than 10 copies. Document data analysis resulted in the number of available reading lists in 20 courses, with the number of available collections being 37.2% and not available as much as 62.7%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the role of school libraries in improving information literacy and reading culture of adolescents in high schools by choosing SMA N 16 Padang as the object of research and grade 3 as the research sample. The research method is descriptive quantitative by using questionnaires as a data collection tool using random sampling techniques. The results of the study were interpreted using simple percentages and arranged in a graph, with the results that students did not have good reading habits. Data shows that 45% of students spend only 30 minutes- 1 hour per day reading, focusing only on reading textbooks and school notes while doing homework and reading only for exams. The results also show that 60% of students very rarely borrow books in the library, and the library collection has not been integrated with the school curriculum beyond the thematic compulsory books available.

Abstract

This study intends to identify and analyze the efforts of the university  library to create a public sphere. The study location is Wifi Zone Corner at ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember) Library. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The study results shows that the ITS Library has made efforts to create Wifi Zone Corner as a public sphere: (1) change the Wifi Zone Corner design into a public sphere become accessible, comfortable and without any binding rules; (2) held routine and non-routine activities with the concept of a public forum; and (3) make cooperation with some other institutions.
