Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Palangka Raya City face significant challenges in enhancing competitiveness and operational efficiency, despite the continuous growth in the number of business units. One of the main issues lies in the lack of data-driven development strategies and the limited integration of information among MSME actors. This study applies a descriptive quantitative approach using the K-Means Clustering method to classify 100 MSME units based on three key aspects: financial performance, product sales, and marketing strategies. Data were collected via online questionnaires from August to October 2024. The analysis was conducted using the KNIME software to visualize and manage data effectively. The findings reveal homogeneous MSME clusters, with groups demonstrating high financial efficiency and a combination of online and offline marketing strategies showing the best performance. This study recommends that local governments develop more targeted and evidence-based strategies for MSME development. The main limitation of this research is the sample's scope, which may not fully represent the diversity of MSMEs in Palangka Raya. Future studies are encouraged to expand the geographical coverage and apply mixed-method approaches.

The training increased participants’ understanding of sustainable human resource management and environmental awareness. The pre-test and post-test results indicated an average knowledge improvement of more than 40 percent, showing a significant shift in participants’ behavior toward environmentally responsible practices. The integration of GHRM and green innovation proved effective in empowering coastal communities, strengthening village institutions, and encouraging the emergence of sustainable economic initiatives. This model demonstrates that environmentally-based capacity building can be replicated in other coastal villages to promote inclusive green and blue economy development. Abstract

Infrastructure development is one of the Indonesian government’s top priorities to support economic growth and promote equitable development across regions. However, project delays remain a significant challenge that hinders the effectiveness of national strategic programs. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the Head of the National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) Palangkaraya in managing the risk of delays in infrastructure projects, particularly national road projects in Central Kalimantan. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews with the Head of BPJN and several project implementation officials as key informants. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of strategic decision-making in responding to project uncertainties. The results reveal that decision-making processes are carried out through a combination of rational and intuitive approaches, taking into account technical aspects, fiscal policies, and external factors such as weather conditions and material distribution. The Head of BPJN acts as an adaptive decision-maker who balances national interests with field realities. This study underscores the importance of risk-based strategic leadership in improving the performance of public infrastructure projects.

Abstract

Abstract: A2 Collection is a home-based industry engaged in the production of bags made from woven rattan combined with leather or synthetic materials in Palangka Raya City. In its operational activities, the company still encounters challenges in controlling rattan raw material inventory due to an inefficient ordering system, which leads to excess inventory and increased storage costs. This study aims to determine the optimal order quantity of rattan raw materials, identify the appropriate reorder point, and calculate the total inventory costs incurred by the company. The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is employed in this research, including the analysis of optimal order quantity, safety stock, reorder point, and total inventory costs. The results indicate that the optimal order quantity of rattan raw materials is 1,363 sheets with an ordering frequency of five times per year. Reordering is carried out when inventory reaches 21 sheets with a safety stock of 4 sheets, while the total inventory cost amounts to Rp1,363,249 per year. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of the EOQ method effectively reduces inventory costs and improves the efficiency of raw material inventory management at A2 Collection. Keyword: Inventory, Raw Materials, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ).

Abstract

This study examines how socioeconomic factors influence livelihood diversification among households living in peatland areas in Palangka Raya City. Peatland ecosystems that are vulnerable to fire, degradation, and environmental pressure require communities to adopt adaptive livelihood strategies to sustain economic stability. Using survey data from 100 households, this study analyzes the roles of education, household income, fire risk, and access to credit within the Sustainable Livelihood Framework. The results show that education and income significantly increase households’ likelihood of diversifying their livelihoods, with education emerging as the most influential factor. In contrast, fire risk and access to credit are not statistically significant. These findings indicate that human capital and internal financial capacity play a more decisive role in livelihood decisions than ecological pressure or financial access alone. The study recommends strengthening education, vocational skills, and peatland-based local economic activities to enhance community resilience and support sustainable peatland development in Palangka Raya.
