Abstract

This research was motivated by the problems that exist during initial observations, namely the absence of learning media in the form of modules on the learning process of Concepts and Applications Building Information Modeling (BIM) course. Based on these problem, this study was aim to create a valid and practical learning media in the form of an Revit Structure interactive electronic module (e-module) for the Concepts and Applications of Building Information Modelling (BIM) course. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which adapts the DDD-E model. The instrument used is a learning media assessment questionnaire for media experts, material experts, and students. Based on product evaluation of Revit Structure interactive electronic module-based learning media on the course of Concept and Application BIM by media experts from all aspects obtaining an assessment of 93,1% with very valid criteria, while assessment by material experts from all aspects obtained an assessment of 85.8% with very valid criteria. The assessment with the small trial stage with 8 students as respondents obtained an average score of 89.4% which was categorized as very practical and the large-scale testing stage with 18 students as respondents obtained an average value of 91,2% which was categorized as very practical. Based on the results of the assessment, the resulting media was declared feasible and practical to use for interactive electronic module-based learning media on the Concept and Aplication of Building Information Modelling course.

Abstract

Nowadays, the opportunity to get a job is depend on education degree. Therefore, looking for job opportunities such as entrepreneurship is an alternative for people who have limited degree of education. The 50 kota sub-district is the area with the largest coconut plantations in the 50 kota district. Apart from producing coconuts for sale, coconut trees can also be used as material for making furniture. This is a business opportunity for residents by utilizing coconut tree waste and wood waste. The solution to this condition is to provide knowledge training to young people who are not yet working and wood business people in the area to be able to create innovative furniture products. Of course it has a connection in reducing the number of people who are not working. The use of wood waste that can be obtained from processing coconut trees that are quite old and cannot produce good coconuts, as well as other wood waste can be utilized by creating simple furniture/decoration products that have selling value. This can certainly be a business opportunity for the community/youth of Karang Taruna who have not/don't work to become competent entrepreneurs independently. PKM activities begin with conducting field observations, providing material regarding sources of wood waste, types of wood, marketing steps in selling furniture products and continue with providing training on how to process wood waste into simple furniture/decoration products. The implementation of the work is carried out directly by the community/youth of Karang Taruna, then an evaluation is carried out by looking at the results of the product work by looking at its attractiveness and aesthetics so that it can become an item of marketable value on the market.

Abstract

College tall is one of the essential pillars in shaping the future generation, the successors of our nation. They must be capable of thinking quickly and precisely to tackle every problem and challenge in life. As challenges, demands, and competition, particularly in the world of work, continue to escalate, it becomes increasingly crucial for individuals to adapt their learning methods to keep pace with current curricula and developments. One of the latest advancements in the realm of education, especially in higher education, is the implementation of the Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) curriculum. MBKM represents a significant breakthrough, and all students studying at universities must adapt to it. In the Building Engineering Education Study Program at FT-UNP Civil Engineering Department, subjects like Building Drawing Construction are offered, focusing on developing essential skills. This subject covers a range of materials, from understanding soil characteristics for building foundations to drawing construction plans for various building components. Through methods like action research, students engage in three cycles of study, involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research conducted on Semester IV students in the 2021/2022 Academic Year at Padang State University revealed significant improvements in student performance. In Cycle I, the class average score was 72.3, with subsequent cycles showing steady progress, reaching an average score of 81.15 in Cycle III. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the action-based learning approach in enhancing students' understanding and performance in Building Drawing Construction. It underscores the importance of dynamic teaching methodologies in preparing students for the challenges of the future workforce. With continued refinement and adaptation, initiatives like MBKM can play a pivotal role in shaping a skilled and competent workforce for tomorrow's society.
