Abstract

Broiler business in Patriot business still applies traditional farming system with such weaknesses as relatively simple production equipment, relatively high mortality rate and limited human resources.  Data collected was analyzed using SWOT Analysis. The IFAS value was 3.22, with the strength value was 2.27 and the weakness value was 0.95. This shows that the strength factor in the "Patriot" business is greater than the weakness factor.  The EFAS value was 3.54, with the opportunity value was 1.60, and the threat value was 1.94.  Based on the internal and external factors, the total score of  the strength and the weakness factors positioned at X axis was equal to 1.32, while that of the opportunity and the threat positioned at Y axis was equal to 0.34. The appropriate development strategy for Patriot business is ST strategy. Therefore, the best strategy for the Patriot business development is Strength-Threat strategy, the strategy of using strength to overcome the threats.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the farmers income of palm oil farm in Lilimori village of Bulutaba Subdistrict of North Mamuju Regency. The research was conducted from May to July 2017. The sample was 31 respondents of palm oil farmers. The analysis method used income analysis research. The result of this research showed that the production income was 11,322,580 kg/2.38 ha/2 months or 4,757,386 kg/ha/2 months, the price of per kilogram was IDR 1,100, so that the revenue was IDR 12,454,838/2.38ha/2 months. Total cost was IDR. 5,608,354/2ha/2 months or 2.356.451/ha/two months, so the income earned by palm oil farmers in lilimori village was IDR 6,846,484/2.38ha/2 months or 2,876,674/ha/2 months.

Abstract

This research intend to analyze the income and the feasibility of tomatoes farming to the application of silver mulsa a Bora village Sigi Biromaru Subdistrick  Sigi Regency on June to Agustus 2017. 33 respondents were selected through cencus method. Income analysis used is (p=TR-TC ) and analysis Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C). The result of  research revealed that the production of  feasibility tomatoes farming is 5,866.66 kg/0.47ha or 12,482.26 kg/ha, the selling price is  Rp. 2.500.00/kg. The income of respondent of tomatoes farmers in Bora villages is  Rp.14,666,666.67/0.47ha or Rp. 31,205,673.77/ha. Meanwhile, the outcome is                                 Rp. 10,878,666.67/0.47ha or Rp. 22,952,482.27/ha, the income is Rp. 3,879,000.00/0.47ha or Rp. 8,253,191.48/ha. Therefore, it can be cocluded that tomatoes farming through the  application of silver mulsa is eligible to be used  with Revenue Cost Ratio(R/C) Rp. 1.34 which means that every outcome is Rp. 1 will produce income Rp. 1,34.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the income received by producer, marketing channel model, marketing margin, price part and marketing efficiency of chocolate industry Sakaya coklat in Pengawu village of Palu.  The industry was purposively chosen with consideration that it is the one with the lowest chocolate production capacity in Palu.  Data collected was analyzed using income and marketing analysis. The results analysis revealed that the income generated during the period of June 2017 was IDR 1,993,112.  There were two cacao marketing channels: (a) producer  seller  retailer  consumer and (b) producer  consumer.  The margin obtained from the marketing channel was IDR 14.000.  The price part received by the producer on the marketing channel was 84.2% for a box of 12 chocolates weight 7 g each, 80% for a chocolate pack of 40 g and 50 g.  The marketing efficiency of the first and the second channels was 47.13% and 22.93%, respectively.

Abstract

This study aims were to: (1) determine the effect of the length of rope stretch, seeds, labor, harvesting time and farming experience on the production of seaweed in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi subdistrict of Banggai Kepulauan district, and (2) determine the income of the seaweed farming in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi sub district of Banggai Kepulauan district. The research used a survey method and sampling was done randomly. The number of samples in this study was 44 families. The results showed that: (1) the length of rope stretch (land area), the number of seeds, labor, and time of harvestingpartially had significant effect whereas the farming experience was not significant on the seaweeds production in Bulagi Dua village Bulagi subdistrict of Banggai Kepulauan district (2) the total revenue earned by the respondents was IDR 10,994,739.36/0.55 ha/planting season equal to IDR 19,710,174.88/ha/planting season. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyze strengths, weakness, opportunity and threats faced by cashew agribusiness development; to determine appropriate alternative formulation strategy to develop cashew agribusiness, and to determine prioritized strategy selected for developing cashew agribusiness.  The population of the research was cashew farmers dwelling in Bulagi sub district.  The unit population was purposively determined in Peling Seasa village as it has largest area of cashew plantation as well as largest number of cashew farmers although the plantation productivity is very low.  Respondent samples in this research were 20 people consisting of 18 farmers and 2 field extension officers.  Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and focus group discussion (FGD). The data then was analyzed using SWOT analysis.  The results of the SWOT analysis suggested that the strengths of the cashew agribusiness included (a) agro-ecology, (b) vast land area availability, (c) sufficiently long experience in farming, (d) grow well in marginal land, and (e) sufficient labor availability.  Whereas, opportunity factors were (a) high market demand, (b) forage integration, (c) harvest processing and pseudofruit utilization, (d) government support availability, and (e) increasing pricetrend of dried cashew nut.  The results of SWOT matrix analysis showed that the main strategy implemented is minimizing the weakness factors in order to maximizing the opportunity factors.  Based on the main strategy, activities proposed include: (1) recovering soil fertility through organic fertilizer addition, (2) increasing production through intensification, (3) improving quality and quantity of products through cashew tree rejuvenation and thinning, and (4) enabling the farmers to create various cashew nuts            based products. Keywords: Cashew Nuts, Development Strategy, and Production.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the strategy of developing organic vegetable industry of Organic Farmer Association UnggulSejatiwhich has been certified organic standardsat Sidera, Sigi Biromaru Sub District of Sigi Regency. Respondents were purposively selected and secondary data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, and Focus Group Discussion. The data then were analyzed using quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM). The result of the study shows that the right strategy to develop organic vegetable is on the quadrant I which support the strengths-opportunities strategy with the value of 4.46. The implemented strategy suggested is maximizing the use of facilities to increase organic vegetable products in order to support the government programs of Go Organic 2020 and 1000 Organic Villages” with the total interest of 8.853.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the level of income of processed milkfish businesses and their development strategy in Lalombi village. Data obtained was gathered through observation, interview, and focus group discusion (FGD). Respondents in this study included all units of processed milkfish business population taken through census method, four people from Marine and Fishery Office of Donggala district of Central Sulawesi Province, the head of Lalombi Village, and an extension worker, a traditional leader.  The result of income analysis of the milkfish business in Lalombi village was IDR 1,116,960/month with the R/C Ratio of 1.77 indicating that the milkfish business is very profitable and feasible to be developed. The result of the SWOT analysis shows that the strategy of milkfish business development in Lalombi village is positioned in the third quadrant supporting WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) strategy or turnaround strategy. The strategies included such programs as (1) increasing amount of production to meet relatively high demand and (2) optimizing the government support (cultivation, package assistance, counseling, and capital). The QSPM analysis showed that the best program that could be applied to implemented the strategy was the second program "Optimizing Government support (cultivation package assistance, counseling, and capital) in the development of the milkfish business" with the highest total sum of attractive score (TAS) of 4.00. Keywords: Development Strategy, Income, Uncorned Milkfish.

Abstract

Laying hens farming system of CV. Taufik Nur is the largest of the nine laying    hen farm businesses residing in Sigi Regency.  These laying hen farmings have not yet been able to meet the quota of market demand outside the regency such asPalu city due to their incapability to optimally achieve their production target.  Their production actually can be raisedby means of enlarging their chicken coops as well as increasing the chicken populationsuited to local climatic and management condition.  The purpose of this  research was to analyze the financial feasibility of the laying hen farming system of   Taufik Nur CV.and to analyze the impact of decreasing egg production levels caused by   the chicken death and feed price rises.This research was carried out in October                  to December 2016.  Respondents were purposively determined from the CV. internal parties such as operational workers, manager and an administrative worker.  The NPV of the Taufik Nur CV. was larger than 0 (IDR 2,367,567,450);the IRR was 37.12%  greater than the discount rate of 16%; the net B/C value was 7.64 greater than one; and the PBP was 2.61 less than the age of the business i.e. 2 years 8 months. Based on the results of a sensitivity analysis, this business is still feasible to operatealthough the egg production decrease by 15%and the price of feed concentratesin crease by 37%. Keywords :  Financial analysis, Lying hens, and Sensitivity.

Abstract

The research objective was to identify the impact of enso towards households’ farmer income in impenso region. Data were collected from 250 farmer households which were randomly selected in ten villages at six subdistricts of Donggala Regency. All the farmers were interviewed with an aid of questionnaire. Data collected were tabulated and analysed using a multiple regresion model. Dummy variable was applied to identify the impact of enso towards households’ farmer income. The analysis showed that R2 was 60.9% with an F-value of 139, indicating that there was the impact of enso on households' farmer income. The households’ farmer income in the year without enso was shown to be higher than that in the year with enso.
