Abstract

This research is motivated by the declining interest of students in learning English because teaching the old or traditional way more or less hinders the ability of many students to understand certain languages. The purpose of this research is to design an English learning media in the form of educational games to attract students' interest in learning English further. This research uses the waterfall development method which is combined using the Decision Tree algorithm. In its application the Waterfall method has five stages, namely, Requirements Analysis, System Design, Program Code Writing, Testing, and Maintenance, while the application of the Decision Tree algorithm lies in the first game to choose what path or scan will each player get. The results of this study showed that 90.85% of people who took part in the survey through respondent questionnaires were interested in learning more English.

Abstract

Srikaya fruit has a distinctive character on the skin, namely the natural but regular division of the chunks which when appointed as an idea for product design will be interesting. The results of future research are the deformation of srikaya fruit in the form of wood products in the form of interior decoration for homes as well as an access reminder for humans that srikaya fruit is part of the health facility for the human body because it contains folic acid, potassium, vitamin C, fiber, vitamin A, magnesium and a good source of iron for the body. In terms of research targets, it is expected that the results of the design of wood products have their own unique values, both in wood material, design, product shape and finishing, so that when displayed they will get a positive response. The responses given by connoisseurs of the work in this exhibition forum will be evaluated and become a benchmark for further research on the main basis ofwood

Abstract

All companies hope for an effective and efficient production system, but an imperfect production system means that PT XYZ must improve its production activities. The company strives to produce good products followed by a high level of productivity. In this research, we investigate a case at PT XYZ which produces hot stamping foil in the rewind section. This research found that there was waste that occurred in set-up replacement activities in production. Because it requires a long processing time, we perfected the system by implementing the Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) method, then the process optimized internal activities in the set-up process. The application of the SMED concept is carried out by changing internal activities into external activities with the addition of helpers. This research aims to provide a more effective and efficient set-up replacement process so that machine downtime can be reduced. The results of this research show a 52% reduction in set-up time obtained by adding a helper with a time before implementation of 58 minutes to 30 minutes. This research concludes that SMED is effective in reducing machine set-up time and increasing the efficiency of the production process with benefits after implementing the SMED method by adding a helper of Rp. 10,649,336. In this way, implementing the SMED method helps companies increase production set-up replacement times in the rewind section.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh menurunnya minat siswa dalam  belajar shorof, karena metode belajar yang masih konvensional. Hal ini membuat siswa kesulitan memahami materi yang disampaikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah media pembelajaran dalam bentuk game edukasi guna menarik minat siswa dan memudahkan memahami dalam belajar ilmu shorof. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang di padukan menggunakan algoritma A*. Dalam penerapannya metode RAD memiliki lima tahapan yaitu, Requirements Planning, Design Workshop, Perancangan dan Pengembangan, Pengujian, Implementasi. Penerapan algoritma A* diterapkan kepada pergerakan enemy untuk mencari rute terdekat menuju player. Hasil dari dari penelitian ini menunjukkan 90,44% responden. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini sangat layak untuk dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality control of woven fabric production at PT Kain Ratu Utama using the Seven Tools method. The problem studied is the high level of defects in woven fabric products produced, such as netting (fabric not woven), loose weaving, tangled threads, and patterns that do not match the pattern. The resolution of this problem is important because the high level of defects has a negative impact on product quality and the company's operational efficiency, which in turn affects the company's competitiveness in the market. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection through direct observation and interviews. The research stages include defect data collection, analysis using seven quality control tools (Check Sheet, Control Chart, Histogram, Pareto Diagram, Scatter Diagram, Fishbone Diagram, and Stratification), and identification of the main causes of defects. The results showed that the highest defect was the netting category with 151 sheets (27%). The main causes of defects come from machine malfunctions and human factors. By applying the Seven Tools method, the company can effectively identify and reduce the level of defects, thereby improving product quality and production process efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi perencanaan kapasitas produksi yang optimal pada Devdan Industries guna memenuhi permintaan produk kaos secara efisien dan ekonomis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara langsung dengan manajer produksi, pemilik usaha, dan tenaga kerja, serta data sekunder berupa jam kerja, jumlah tenaga kerja, upah, dan historis permintaan kaos. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi dan pengukuran waktu kerja menggunakan stopwatch time study sebanyak 30 kali pengamatan per kegiatan, kemudian diuji keseragaman dan kecukupan datanya. Kapasitas produksi tersedia dan kapasitas dibutuhkan dihitung berdasarkan waktu baku, jumlah tenaga kerja, dan jam kerja efektif, serta dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi stasiun bottleneck. Apabila ditemukan kekurangan kapasitas, dilakukan alternatif pemenuhan melalui penambahan tenaga kerja, lembur (OT), subkontrak, dan kombinasi skenario tersebut, kemudian dihitung total biaya setiap alternatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa stasiun Sewing (Jahit) consistently menjadi bottleneck, sementara stasiun lain memiliki kapasitas mencukupi. Strategi yang paling efisien secara finansial adalah memaksimalkan kapasitas internal dengan tambahan lembur, menghasilkan total biaya tahunan Rp 13.018.053, lebih rendah dibandingkan penambahan tenaga kerja Rp 16.272.566 dan subkontrak Rp 57.034.483. Kesimpulannya, integrasi perencanaan kapasitas, penentuan waktu baku, dan evaluasi biaya melalui RCCP memungkinkan perusahaan untuk memenuhi fluktuasi permintaan pelanggan secara optimal, menekan biaya operasional, dan meningkatkan efisiensi serta efektivitas proses produksi di industri manufaktur

Abstract

Program pendampingan pada usaha olahan bandeng presto bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas, kualitas produksi serta perbaikan strategi pemasaran. Mitra pengabdian adalah pembuat olahan bandeng presto yaitu “Omah Bandeng” yang memiliki toko/merek bernama “Pawon Kencono”. Metode pendekatan dan penerapan iptek yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra meliputi pelatihan, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra ada dua aspek, yaitu: 1) kualitas dan kapasitas produksi, dan 2) pemasaran. Dari program ini dihasilkan luaran berupa 1) pengadaan alat teknologi tepat guna (TTG) modifikasi dari alat Low Temperature High Pressure Cooker (LTHPC) dan mesin pengemas; 2) design kemasan lebih menarik; 3) pameran produk yang dihasilkan mitra; dan 4) studi banding ke Bandeng Presto Juwana Elrina, Semarang. Dari pemantauan dan evaluasi yang dilakukan tim pengabdi, maka dapat disimpulkan mitra mendapatkan manfaat: 1) Mampu meningkatkan kuantitas produksi dan produk lebih tahan lama; 2) Kemasan lebih menarik pembeli sehingga dapat menaikkan omzet; 3) Pameran produk memperkenalkan produk kepada target pasar yang lebih luas; dan 4) Mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan kualitas produksi dari studi banding yang dilakukan.
