Abstract

Abstract This research aims to enhance early reading skills in first-grade students at SDN Sindangsari, Tasikmalaya, by implementing the multisensory method. This method engages the senses of sight, hearing, movement, and touch to create a dynamic learning environment. The action research was conducted in two cycles, focusing on both the process and outcomes of the intervention. Process aspects encompassed introductory, core, and closing activities, while outcome aspects were measured through performance tests. The results indicated a significant improvement, with the percentage of students possessing reading skills increasing from 15% at the initial stage to 90% in Cycle II. However, one student still required assistance, highlighting the need for a differentiated approach. Continuous evaluation and adjustments are essential to maximize the effectiveness of the learning process. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kelas I SDN Sindangsari, Kecamatan Tasikmalaya, dengan menerapkan metode multisensori. Metode ini melibatkan indra penglihatan, pendengaran, gerak, dan perabaan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang dinamis. Penelitian tindakan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan fokus pada proses dan hasil pemberian tindakan. Aspek proses mencakup kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup, sementara aspek hasil diukur melalui tes unjuk kerja. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dari 15% peserta didik yang memiliki keterampilan membaca pada kondisi awal menjadi 90% pada siklus II. Meskipun demikian, satu peserta didik masih memerlukan pendampingan, menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan diferensiasi. Evaluasi dan penyesuaian terus menerus perlu dilakukan untuk memaksimalkan efektivitas pembelajaran

Abstract

Abstract Education plays a crucial role in developing individual potential. This research aims to enhance the learning outcomes of science for sixth-grade students at SD Bunayya Islamic School by implementing the experimental method. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research show an improvement in student activity and learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. Student learning activities have significantly increased, such as the percentage of students paying attention to teacher explanations and successfully conducting experimental activities. Student learning outcomes have also improved, as evidenced by the increased percentage of students achieving mastery learning. From this research, it can be concluded that the use of the experimental method is effective in enhancing student activity and learning outcomes in science. The experimental method provides direct experiences to students, enhancing their understanding of science concepts. Therefore, the application of the experimental method is recommended in science education to improve student learning outcomes. Abstrak Pendidikan berperan penting dalam mengembangkan potensi individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VI di SD Bunayya Islamic School dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan empat tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan signifikan, seperti meningkatnya persentase siswa yang memperhatikan penjelasan guru dan mampu melaksanakan kegiatan eksperimen. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat, terbukti dari peningkatan persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode eksperimen efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam IPA. Metode eksperimen memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa, meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep-konsep IPA. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode eksperimen dapat direkomendasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study purpose to develop a gamification-based Project Book learning media to improve the ability to write simple paragraphs for second-grade students at SDN Kebon Baru 07 Pagi, Jakarta Selatan. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 31 students in class IIA. Data collection instruments included expert validation, student and teacher response questionnaires, as well as pre-test and post-test to assess the improvement in writing skills. The results indicated that the developed Project Book is feasible to use, with expert validation scores of 92% for media experts and 94.28% for content experts. The N-gain test results showed that 18 students (58%) achieved high improvement, 13 students (42%) achieved moderate improvement, and no student was in the low category. These findings demonstrate that the Project Book is effective in enhancing second-grade students’ ability to write simple paragraphs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using audiovisual media in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics, specifically in recognizing shapes, in first grade students at SD Negeri 01, Depok City. The problem addressed in this study is students' low understanding of basic geometric shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles, as indicated by average student scores that are still below the minimum completion standard. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The research instruments included learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the use of audiovisual media had a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes, with an average score increasing from 60 to 80 and classical completion from 45% to 85%. This media helps visualize abstract concepts in a more concrete and contextual way, and significantly increases student learning motivation.
