Abstract

The main objective of this study is to determine the contribution of transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and knowledge sharing to innovative work behavior. This study's research method includes library and field research design with a quantitative approach. The research subjects taken in this study were SME actors in the culinary sector in Pematangsiantar City. The research was carried out in eight sub-districts in Pematangsiantar City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The data analysis test tool uses the Smartpls statistical software. The results of the data analysis concluded that transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and knowledge sharing positively and significantly affect innovative work behavior. The theoretical implication of this study concludes that aspects of knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, and transformational leadership are important stimulants to encourage innovative work behavior. Furthermore, the managerial implications in this study conclude that aspects of knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, and transformational leadership require serious attention for business actors to encourage more innovative work behavior.

Abstract

Professional teachers must be able to carry out dual roles as practitioners as well as researchers. As researchers, teachers are required to be able to improve the quality of learning through classroom action research to solve problems that occur in class. Even so, there are still many teachers who have not been able to carry out classroom action research properly. This community service is a classroom action research training activity for SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers. The purpose of this community service is to increase the ability and knowledge of SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers in writing class action research reports. This activity was carried out with the principles of heutagogy and direct practice. The activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar City on 17-22 January 2022 and was attended by 30 teachers from SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar who were proposing a promotion to TMT April 2022. This community service activities were carried out through the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. At the preparatory stage, a pre-test was given and continued with the delivery of material related to the basic concepts of classroom action research. The implementation stage was accompanied by teacher assistance in compiling classroom action research reports based on the proposals prepared by the teacher as independent assignments. At the evaluation stage a post-test was carried out to measure the ability and knowledge of the teacher after attending the training. The evaluation results show that there were 28 reports generated from 30 participants as training outputs. In addition, there was an increase in the average score obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test. Community service through classroom action research training has given positive results to increasing the competence of SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers in writing classroom action research.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the effect of cashback promotion as a mediator on the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, social influence, trust, and security on the interest in using digital wallets in generation Z and millennial generations. The research method includes library research design and field research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects taken in this study were Generation Z and the Millennial Generation of Culinary SMES in Pematangsiantar City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS) with Smartpls statistical software. The study stated positive and significant results between perceived benefits and the social influence of cashback promotions. Furthermore, positive and significant results are perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, trust, and cashback promotions. The results also show that the safety factor has a negative and insignificant effect on the intention to use. For the mediating relationship, it can be concluded that cashback promotion succeeds in mediating the relationship between perceived benefits and social influence on intention to use. The results of this study indicate that the average Generation Z and Millennials have low literacy of digital wallet security issues. Socialization or literacy activities are needed regarding information security which the fintech industry or digital wallet developers routinely carry out.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru; (2) pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru; (3) pengaruh etos kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru; (4) pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (5) pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (6) pengaruh etos kerja guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (7) pengaruh kinerja guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (8) pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang dimediasi oleh kinerja guru; (9) pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang dimediasi oleh kinerja guru; (10) pengaruh etos kerja guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang dimediasi oleh kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan guru SMP Negeri Kota Pematang Siantar T.A. 2021/ 2022 yang berjumlah 724 orang dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 251 orang. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner, wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengukuran outer model dan inner model dengan menggunakan PLS. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (2) Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (3) Etos kerja guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (4) Kepemimpinan berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (5) Disiplin kerja berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (6) Etos kerja guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (7) Kinerja guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (8) Kinerja guru dapat memediasi hubungan antara kepemimpinan dan hasil belajar siswa dan signifikan dalam mempengaruhi hubungan antara kepemimpinan dengan hasil belajar siswa; (9) Disiplin kerja dapat memediasi hubungan antara disiplin kerja dan hasil belajar siswa dan signifikan dalam mempengaruhi hubungan antara disiplin kerja dengan hasil belajar siswa; (10) Etos kerja guru dapat memediasi hubungan antara etos kerja guru dan hasil belajar siswa dan signifikan dalam mempengaruhi hubungan antara etos kerja guru dengan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Certification Competency test is one of the requirements of VHS graduates and the gap between theory and phenomenon in this test evaluation is rarely carried out. The objective of this study is to evaluate the implementation of Certification Competency Test of VHS. A thorough evaluative method with Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) was implemented through observation, and document study. Then, a questionnaire was developed to collect the data from 13 VHS as the population and sample. The data analysed descriptively fell into some categories as the finding of this research such as design, installation, process, product shared very good achievement with score 31.53 (100%), 57.4 (88.51%), 39.64 (87.52%), and 43.87 (89.22%) respectively.  The overall score denoted very good category with average gained score 172.44 (91.32%). In conclusion, the certification competency exam requires more maximum improvement despite the recent achievement. Good cooperation is needed from all parties, such as the provincial level national exam implementers, schools, partner institutions, supervisors, parents/community and students so as to fulfill the gap so that the certification competency test results will be even better.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate how organizational citizenship behavior and individual characteristics impact the performance of teachers at Sultan Agung Pematang Siantar Private High School both simultaneously and partially. This research employs a combination of literature review methodology and field research. The population in this study is the total number of permanent teachers at Sultan Agung Pematang Siantar Private High School which amounts to 38 people. This study incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data. Both primary and secondary data sources were utilized in this study. Data gathering involved the use of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, with research instruments being subjected to validity and reliability tests. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive analysis, namely normality tests, regression, hypothesis testing and correlation and determination tests. The findings from this research can be summarized (1) organizational citizenship behavior and individual characteristics have a substantial and positive impact on teacher performance both simultaneously and partially; (2) There is moderately high correlation between organizational citizenship behavior and individual characteristics to teacher performance

Abstract

Tujuan utama dilakukanya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan tema Penguatan entrepreneurship insight dan daya saing bagi pelaku UKM di Kota Pematangsiantar ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tambahan tentang pentingnya memahami jiwa kewirausahaan serta mengoptimalkan manajemen usaha untuk memperoleh daya saing yang kompetitif. Metode yang di gunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu melalui ceramah dan praktik langsung penguatan entrepreneurship insight dan pembuatan akun media sosial dan e-commerce. Tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini meliputi pembukaan dan pengenalan entrepreneurship insight, pemaparan tentang entrepreneurship insight dan daya saing, pemaparan tentang beberapa masalah yang sering dihadapi pelaku UKM, kemudian dilanjutkan praktik yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan media sosial dan e-commerce. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian selesai, maka dilakukan wawancara lanjutan mengenai dampak pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Sesuai dengan hasil wawancara lanjutan, diketahui perubahan yang terjadi setelah mengikuti kegiatan penguatan aspek entrepreneurship insight dan daya saing para pelaku UKM meningkat 80%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of Sultan Agung Private Junior High School teachers, assessed based on self-efficacy and locus of control. This study employs a quantitative research approach with the research subjects being 36 permanent teachers at Sultan Agung Private Junior High School. Data collection involves the use of questionnaires, interview interactions, and documentation. Validity and reliability testing are part of the research instrument validation. Data is analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, including normality testing, regression analysis, correlation and determination testing, as well as hypothesis testing. The findings of this research can be summarized as follows: (1) The correlation between self-efficacy, locus of control, and teacher performance is both positive and significant, whether considered simultaneously and partially; (2) There exists a moderately high correlation between self-efficacy and locus of control with regards to teacher performance.
