Abstract

Plastic waste produced every day becomes very influential to the survival ofnot only humans, but also to animals and plant. One of the steps to protect the environment from plastic waste is to by utilizing it into something that has value added that can be profit. The resulting plastic waste can be processed into products that can be used daily or can be marketed. Plastic waste utilization situation has two positive impact that is the first is able to reduce environmental pollution and the second is able to produce products/goods that have a selling value.

Abstract

Sustainable economic development is urgently needed by developing countries, one form of which is the stability of the price of fresh oil palm fruit bunches and being able to integrate with cattle farming by utilizing the area around oil palm land by creating effectiveness and efficiency for farmer groups, so as to increase their income in the future. will come. activities carried out in the form of socialization and transfer of knowledge to the community. The time for the implementation of the activity lasts for 1 (one) day on October 20, 2019. The subject of this service is the Community of Farmers and Livestock in Teupin Panah Village, Assisted Village, Faculty of Economics, Teuku Umar University. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity and actively asked and responded to the material presented by the speakers. In general, this activity consists of two sessions. The first session was a material presentation session, while the second session was an interactive discussion. The stability of the price of oil as a key variable in determining the welfare of oil palm farmers is a prerequisite that must be met. The volatile palm oil price fluctuation will be very risky to the welfare level of farmers. In addition, other solutions are needed in an effort to ensure that farmers' income is not reduced from price uncertainty factors. One of the efforts that can be done is by integrating oil palm plantations with cattle farming. This idea was proposed based on the potential of the oil palm plantation area in Teupin Panah village which is relatively large to be used for oil palm cultivation, especially for smallholder plantations..

Abstract

Libraries have an important role in improving the quality of Human Resources. One of the successes of an educational institution in providing and running a learning service process can be seen from the library management system provided. This socialization and discussion activity was carried out at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Ar Raniry, Banda Aceh City. It aims to improve the ability of library managers to manage libraries in an organized and modern way, able to identify important things in solving various problems that occur in the management and development of school libraries. The technical preparation of library work plans in the industrial era 4.0, using the SWOT Analysis Method so that the advantages and disadvantages can be mapped properly and self-evaluation of library staff and implementing agencies can be recorded properly. The technical activity of preparing a library work plan is expected to make professional librarian staff ready to face library problems that continue to develop.

Abstract

Purpose—The purpose of this article is to try to look at the risk aversion determination factors that encourage the behavior of the educated workforce using or not using insurance products. The indicators used are income, education level, number of Dependents, Gender, employment status, place of residence, generation group, insurance product information Method—The analysis model used is probit regression. Primary data obtained through a survey of 111 respondents and only 93 educated workers in Aceh Province met the specifications and filled in completely. Research Results—The results show that only employment status has a positive and significant effect on labor preferences for insurance products, while other factors are not significant. Limitations — This research is still limited in samples, factors that are used as objects of research and less in-depth about the role of information affecting people's behavior. This is a suggestion for researchers to further conduct more comprehensive research. Practical Implications—The results of this study can be used as a reference for the government and companies must synergize with each other in planning insurance programs. High-income workers are expected to join insurance programs, mutual care is an important social capital to maintain the economy. The government or insurance company must increase the socialization of information on the importance of insurance programs to deal with the uncertainty of future risks.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan motivasi kepada kaum muda yang memiliki potensi besar untuk memulai usaha baru dan mengembangkannya di masa depan, sehingga menciptakan efek pengganda yang signifikan dalam penciptaan lapangan kerja baru. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh anggota Melborn Pelajar yang mengikuti Kegiatan Pelatihan Melborn Pelajar ke-5 dengan tema “Generasi Hebat, Generasi Akademik, Sosial, dan Organisasi Islam,” yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 18 Agustus 2019, di Aula MAN Meulaboh I. Metode pengabdian masyarakat berupa ceramah dan forum diskusi kelompok. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan dan usaha sosial telah menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan motivasi peserta untuk berwirausaha. Hal ini ditemukan dalam konteks organisasi Melborn Pelajar, yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dan pelajar universitas sebagai peserta pelatihan. Komunitas belajar dengan visi dan misi bersama telah terbukti menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kewirausahaan. Kegiatan ini mendorong peserta untuk memulai dan mengembangkan usaha kewirausahaan serta mempromosikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kesadaran sosial dan prinsip mutualisme. Pelatihan tersebut juga berhasil meningkatkan kepekaan sosial terhadap isu-isu komunitas dan mendorong solusi yang kreatif, inovatif, dan dapat diterapkan untuk tantangan sosial-ekonomi.
