Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model with probing-prompting technique toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The research design is posttest only control group design. The population of this research is all eighth grade students of Junior High School State 2 Wonosobo in academic year 2012/2013. Sample of this research is VIIIB and VIIIC that are determined by purposive random sampling technique. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that cooperative learning model with probing-prompting technique have influence toward student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Keywords: cooperative learning, mathematical conceptual understanding, probing-prompting.

Abstract

Base observing result on VIII class student D. SMP Country 2 Jati School Year Grand 2012/2013 acknowledged that activity and student concept grasp in processes learning still low. It is caused less effective it model that is utilized learns to involve active ala student in learning activity.  To settle research does that problem action by applying kooperatif's learning model STAD type that aims to increase activity and mathematical concept grasp student.   Action research brazes this is done in three cycles, one that each its cycle consisting of four activity phase which is: planning phase, performing phase, observing phase and reflection phase.  Technics data collecting is opserfasi and essays.  Base research  result and study was concluded by learning with utilize kooperatif's model type STAD can increase activity and mathematics concept grasp student.  That thing is proved of observing activity and concept grasp ability student on each cycle: (1) student average percentages which i. cycle actives, II., III. 64,87%, (2) average percentages that understand i. cycle concept, II.. Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan ke-mampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretestposttest control design dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Secara purposive sampling dipilih dua dari tiga kelas pada siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebagai sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, karena nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada indeks gain tidak berbeda secara signifikan pada siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung, namun pada pencapaian indikator terlihat bahwa kelas yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik disbanding kelas yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: TPS, kemampuan komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

Inquiry learning model is a student-centered learning where students are guided to be able to use the concepts that have been owned by the students to discover new knowledge.  This research is quasi experimental design that aimed to know the effectiveness of inquiry learning model considered on students mathematical communication skill.  This research using posttest only control group design.  The population of this research are all students of eight grade Junior High School State 1 Natar with The Education Year 2012/2013.  The sample of this research are two classes from twelve classes that choosed by purposive random sampling technique.  This research can conclusion that in a short time of mathematics learning using inquiry learning model is not effective if the successful learning considered on students mathematical communication skill.Keywords: Effectiveness, Inquiry, Mathematical Communication.

Abstract

This apparent experiment supposes to know the comparison in a result of student learning between two types of cooperate learning, vice Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write and the design used is posttest control design.  The population included is the all of student in VIII class at SMP Negeri 5 Terbanggi Besar, Lampung Tengah and sampel researching is student of VIII D and VIII F class. Which is gotten from comparing two classes of eight classes in purposive sampling, that is using consideration the result of final axamination in odd semester.  The data is come from giving such as test toward the student.  According to the data analized using uji-t, with taraf nyata 5% obtained that the result of student learning in using cooperative TPS way is as same as TTW type in a result, the application of cooperative TPS and TTW types can be one of alternatives in learning procession. So that there is no different thing of learning result both of that moddle.Key Word : Think Pair Share, Think Talk Write,The Learning Result

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effectivity of the CTL approach with conventional learning toward student's mathematical problem solving ability.  Design used in this study was a post-test only control design.  The population in this study are all student’s in 7th Grade of SMPN 26 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2012/2013.  The sample are  all student’s of class VII-B and VII-C choosed by using purposive sampling.  Based on the result of hipotesis test, the average of student’s mathematical problem solving ability and student’s mastery learning at class using CTL approach is more than that of using conventional learning in the significant level 5%. So, it was concluded that the CTL approach effective to enhance student’s mathematical problem solving ability.Keywords: Effectivity, CTL Approach, Mathematical Problem Solving

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together dengan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pre-test post-test control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 dan sebagai sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII B dan VIII D yang dipilih dari enamkelas secara acak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, ketuntasan belajar siswa, dan pencapaian perilaku berkarakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih baik daripadapembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih efektif diterapkan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, NHT, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in terms of student’s mathematical prolem solving. The research design was posttets control design.  The population in this study were all seven grade students of SMPN 1 Jati Agung in the academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are student of class VII-A and VII-D randomly selected from four class there. Based on the data analysis, found that the average of student’s mathematical problem solving in PBL is higher than conventional learning and student learning completeness more than 50%.   The conclusion that can be draw from this research is that model PBL is effective in terms of student’s mathematical problem solving ability.Key words: Effectiveness, PBL, Mathematical Problem Solving

Abstract

Applied learning by teachers greatly affect the success of students in learning.  The low learning and activity  outcomes are not indication yet optimal learning. This research is   the PTK aimed to improve learning and activity  outcomes math class VIII / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono East Lampung semester Academic Year 2012/2013, through Mathematic Realistic Approach. Action is  conducted in three cycles, each cycle including: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data were collected through observation of student activity at each meeting and learning outcomes gained through the end of each test cycle. Based on data analysis results of this research note that an increase in the percentage of students active and learning outcomes in each cycle. Percentage of students active continuted in Cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 69.44% and 81.08%. Percentage of students who pass the learning continuted cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 66.66% and 78.37%. From these results it can be concluded that the application of PMR in learning can increase student, activity and the result of mathematic learning class VII1 / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono Odd Semester Academic Year 2012/2013.Keywords: Mathematics Realistic Approach, Activities, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and results of developing scientific-based mathematics learning worksheets that meet valid and practical criteria and test the developed worksheets' validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research and development refer to the steps of Borg and Gall. The research subjects were grade VIII students of the Qur'an Science Middle School Minhajuth Thullab Pekalongan for the 2022/2023 academic year: data collection techniques using interviews, problem-solving ability tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that the LKPD teaching materials developed were categorized as valid (fit for use) based on the assessment of media and material expert validators. In addition, the developed scientific-based LKPD is also categorized as practical based on student assessments and responses from the mathematics teacher. Based on hypothesis testing and proportions, the scientific-based LKPD can improve problem-solving skills, but it is not yet effective because the proportion of students with good category problem-solving abilities is not more than 60% of the total number of students.
