Abstract

This research aims to determine Mekari's rebranding strategy in increasing brand equity. This activity was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study method. The results of the research that has been carried out can show that Mekari has several strategies to increase brand equity after rebranding. The strategy used by Mekari to increase brand equity is by creating a technology event called the Mekari Conference. Apart from that, Mekari also utilizes the digital world, such as social media and media releases. All strategies carried out by Mekari are the result of intervention from employees, both CEO, C level, and especially employees who deal directly with customers such as the marketing, sales, customer support & success teams. Abstract

Penyajian berita di televisi bisa mengalami erosi dan distorsi fakta. Erosi dan distorsi fakta terjadi bila berita yang disajikan mengalami pengikisan atau penambahan fakta akibat tidak sempurnya peralatan jasmaniah dan rohaniah wartawan. Kasus seperti ini sudah sering terjadi. Ini tentu tak boleh terjadi dan terus berlangsung. Bila materi berita ini sampai kepada audience tentu bisa menyesatkan public. Namun yang berbahaya lagi kepercayaan public terhadap pemberitaan tv lambat laun akan pudar. Bila ini terjadi, pemberitaan tv akan rugi besar. Itulah sebabnya pemberitaan tv harus serius mengontrol berita yang mereka sajikan. Reporter mengumpulkan bahan sesuai ketentuan. Eksekutif produser dan produser harus senantiasa menyaleksi dan menyunting ketat berita yang mereka terima dari reporter. Bila ini kurang diperhatikan dan diabaikan lambat laun citra atau image pemberitaan akan runtuh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of feminism in Gadis Kretek episode 2, focusing on how women are depicted through narrative, visuals, and dialogue. This study also explores whether female characters have full agency or are subject to the male gaze, and how social, cultural, and class factors influence these representations. In addition, this study compares the representation of feminism in Gadis Kretek with other films or series in Indonesia, and assesses its impact on audience perceptions of feminism and the role of women in Indonesia. The method used in this study is John Fiske's semiotic approach, which focuses on the analysis of signs in media texts, both in narrative and visual aspects. This method is integrated with feminist theory, especially the concept of the "male gaze" from Laura Mulvey and intersectionality from bell hooks. This approach allows researchers to uncover the meaning behind the representation of women in the series and how gender power dynamics are played out. The conclusion of this study shows that Gadis Kretek represents feminism through a process of negotiation between patriarchal norms and women's resistance. The female characters in this series have power and agency, but remain bound by a patriarchal social system. In addition, class and cultural factors influence this representation, where women from different social backgrounds experience feminism in different ways. The series influences the audience's perception of feminism by providing a realistic depiction of women's roles in Indonesia's patriarchal society.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan digital masyarakat di Desa Sirnajaya dan Desa Wargajaya, Kabupaten Bogor, dalam rangka mendorong pengembangan wirausaha lokal, terutama di sektor pertanian dan pariwisata. Kedua desa ini memiliki potensi ekonomi yang besar, namun menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi digital dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan keterampilan digital, dengan fokus pada pemasaran digital, manajemen data, otomatisasi, dan peningkatan produktivitas. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pendekatan partisipatif dengan melibatkan masyarakat lokal, serta kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan institusi pendidikan. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, memperluas jangkauan pasar produk lokal, dan mengoptimalkan potensi desa. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan digital yang signifikan, memungkinkan masyarakat untuk lebih adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi serta berkontribusi pada pengembangan ekonomi desa yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan publikasi ilmiah serta menawarkan solusi kolaboratif untuk penerapan teknologi digital di wilayah pedesaan lainnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

Compared to the implementation of Cyber Public Relations on other Metro Police Instagram social media, the implementation of Cyber Public Relations of West Jakarta Metro Police has advantages such as having a Polri TV program on video reels content on Instagram social media @polres_jakbar. Not only that, @polres_jakbar also publishes a lot of information such as police activities and programs, information about missing people, press releases, holiday greetings, quotes or promotions and of course there is educational video content that is attractively packaged in collaboration with several influencers, of course, every content published with infographics that are easy to understand and use supporting visuals, this is in line with the inspirational photography award, viralization and narrative awards to the Public Relations of West Jakarta Metro Police. Qualitative approach with case study research type and descriptive in nature, with data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. The results show that the implementation process of Cyber Public Relations of West Jakarta Metro Police on Instagram social media uses the 7C PR program, namely credibility, context, content, clarity, continuity and consistency, channel, and capability of the audience. The implementation of Cyber Public Relations on Instagram has had a positive impact on changing the image of West Jakarta Metro Police.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Instagram in shaping and expressing adolescent self-identity in the digital era, with a focus on Cilegon City. Adolescence is a pivotal stage of identity development, where social media functions as a space for self-presentation, social validation, and relationship-building. Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, this research involved five adolescents aged 16–20 who were purposively selected based on their active Instagram use and engagement in digital interactions. Data were collected through account observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Instagram activities. The findings indicate that Instagram is utilized to construct an ideal self-image, express values and emotions, and gain social acknowledgment. However, the pressure to maintain a perfect appearance also triggers psychological risks such as anxiety and a disconnect between online and offline identity. These results demonstrate that Instagram serves not only as a medium for expression but also as a complex social arena in adolescent identity formation. The study underscores the necessity of digital guidance and adaptive media literacy to support adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped marketing practices, with Instagram emerging as a key platform for building brand recognition. This study examines the marketing communication strategy of Teh Tong Tji on Instagram, emphasizing the use of Reels, Stories, and visual elements to enhance audience engagement. A qualitative approach, guided by Social Media Engagement Theory (SME), was employed through in-depth interviews, content observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that audience engagement remains limited due to inconsistencies in delivering relevant and appealing content. Among the available features, Reels and Stories proved most effective in generating higher interaction rates, including likes, comments, and shares. Visual storytelling, particularly product introduction videos, was found to play a significant role in strengthening brand recognition. Thematic analysis further highlights the necessity of aligning content strategies with audience preferences, as well as the importance of ongoing evaluation to optimize algorithm performance. This study contributes to the digital marketing literature by offering insights into how traditional brands can adapt their communication strategies to remain competitive in the social media era. Practical recommendations include enhancing content consistency, leveraging interactive features, and refining visual elements to better meet audience needs and foster stronger brand recognition.

Abstract

This study explores the representation of feminism and gender power relations in Kretek Girl series episode 2 through a semiotic and feminist theoretical framework. Using John Fiske’s semiotic analysis combined with Laura Mulvey’s concept of the “male gaze” and bell hooks’ intersectionality theory, this research examines how female characters are portrayed in relation to patriarchy, class, and cultural context. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach focusing on narrative structure, visual elements, dialogue, and character representation to uncover how signs construct feminist meanings within the story. The findings reveal that Kretek Girl presents a nuanced depiction of feminism, characterized by a tension between women’s resistance and patriarchal dominance. Female characters demonstrate agency and empowerment, yet remain constrained by social norms that reinforce gender hierarchies. The semiotic analysis highlights how visual and narrative codes—such as costume, body movement, and camera framing—reflect both subordination and subtle defiance against male-centered perspectives. Furthermore, intersectional aspects of class and culture shape different experiences of womanhood, emphasizing that feminism in Indonesian media operates through negotiation rather than confrontation. The study concludes that Kretek Girl contributes to the evolving discourse of feminist representation in Indonesian cinema by portraying women’s empowerment as a complex, layered process within a patriarchal society.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pelaksanaan dan dampak dari strategi komunikasi berupa kampanye “Sinar Mas: Sustainable Palm Oil for a Sustainable Future” dalam rangka meningkatkan kesadaran publik terhadap produk agrobisnis dan pangan dari PT SMART Tbk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan data deskriptif.
