Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the growth and production response of soybean, which was application use various watering frequencies and the application of water hyacinth compost. The design of this research using Randomized Complete Block Design factorial 3x6 with three replication. The first factor is the frequency of watering (P), that is P1 (once a day), P2 (once in two days), and P3 (once in three days). The second factor is the composition of water hyacinth compost (K), that is K1 (NPK Mutiara), K2 (100 % manure), K3 (25% manure + 75% water hyacinth compost), K4 (50% manure + 50% water hyacinth compost), K5 (75% manure + 25% water hyacinth compost), and K6 (100% water hyacinth compost). The result showed the frequency of watering and the composition of water hyacinth compost could increase the number and weight of pods, also the number and weight of seeds. The treatment with once-a-day watering frequency and 25% manure + 75% water hyacinth compost cause the best and efficient increase in the growth and production of soybean varieties Anjasmoro.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to know the influence of the interaction of water hyacinth compost doses and Azolla microphylla green fertilizer doses on the growth and production of pakcoy. The research was conducted in the greenhouse and plant ecology and production laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Science and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang, Central Java. The study was conducted in January to March 2020. The experimental design of this research was Completely Randomize Design (CRD) 5 x 3 factorial pattern design with 3 replications. The first factor consists of 5 levels, namely without fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer (NPK), 50% recommendation of water hyacinth compost doses, 100% recommendation of water hyacinth compost doses, and 150% recommendation of water hyacinth compost doses. The second factor consists of 3 levels, namely without fertilizer, 50% recommendation of Azolla microphylla green fertilizer doses, and 100% recommendation of Azolla microphylla green fertilizer doses. The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaves, crown wet weight, and the production of the crown’s dry matter. Analyzing the data use variance analysis and Duncan’s multiple range test of 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction between the treatment doses of water hyacinth compost and Azolla microphylla green fertilizer on plant height, number of leaves, crown wet weight, and the production of the crown’s dry matter. The treatment of 100% recommendation of water hyacinth compost doses (138 kg N/ha) and 100% recommendation of Azolla microphylla green fertilizer doses (138 kg N/ha) gave the best results than other treatments. The treatment of 100% recommendation of water hyacinth compost doses (138 kg N/ha) without the addition of Azolla microphylla green fertilizer as the same as the contribution of inorganic fertilizer that had done for once during cultivation to increasing the crown wet weight.

Abstract

Cucumber is a plant with many benefits and is liked by the community but has low productivity due to climate factors and farming techniques such as land management, fertilization, and irrigation. Increasing the productivity of cucumbers is carried out by utilizing the utilization of tea waste equipped with chicken manure to support plant growth. The aim of this research was to review the growth and production of cucumbers due to doses of compost tea and chicken manure. The research was carried out using a completely randomized design with a 4x4 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The first factor was the treatment of compost tea doses P0=control, P1=25 kg P2O5/ha, P2= 50 kg P2O5/ha, dan P3=75 kg P2O5/ha then the dose of chicken manure is A1= inorganic fertilizer, 150 kg P2O5/ha, A2= 75 kg P2O5/ha, A3=100 kg P2O5/ha, and A4=125 kg P2O5/ha The results showed that tea dregs compost and chicken manure have a significant effect on plant growth.The interaction between tea dregs compost and chicken manure gave a significant effect on the parameter of fruit weight with the best results at the treatment doses of 50 kg P2O5/ha /ha (P2) and 100 kg P2O5/ha /ha (A3).

Abstract

The study aimed to compare the growth and production of rice between three varieties, namely Ciherang, IR 64 (Membrano), and Inpari 23 (Aromatic) without or with soil amendment application (dolomite) on andosol soil from Karanganyar. The research design used was a split-plot with a Completely Randomized Design. The main plot is treatment without soil amendment (R1) and with soil amendment (dolomite) (R2). Subplots were Ciherang (V1), IR 64 (V2), and Inpari 23 (V3) varieties. Parameters observed were plant height, number of panicles, panicle emergence age, crown weight, root weight, root crown ratio, strawweight, grain weight, 1000 grain weight, and harvest index. The results showed that the variety factor had a significant effect (P0,05) on the age of panicle emergence and the number of panicles. The age of panicle emergence and the best number of panicles was found in the IR 64 variety. Variety factors had no significant effect on plant height, crown weight, root portion weight, root canopy ratio, strawweight, grain weight, 1000 grain weight, and harvest index. Soil amendment factors have no significant effect on growth, biomass production, and rice production. It can be concluded that the most superior rice growth and production is IR 64 variety followed by Ciherang and Inpari 23 varieties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil produksi tanaman bawang merah dan kandungan vitamin C umbi melalui perlakuan pemberian pupuk kompos diperkaya mineral dan Trichoderma sp. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap monofaktor 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan perlakuan tanpa pemberian pupuk, pupuk NPK mutiara 250 kg/ha, kompos tablet 5 ton/ha, kompos tablet 10 ton/ha, kompos tablet 15 ton/ha, dan kompos tablet 20 ton/ha. Parameter yang diamati adalah, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi, berat kering umbi, berat kandungan vitamin C umbi. Data pengamatan dianalisis dengan ANOVA dilanjutkan uji DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan pemberian pupuk kompos tablet diperkaya mineral dan Trichoderma sp.  tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter umbi bawang merah. Namun pemberian pupuk kompos tablet diperkaya mineral dan Trichoderma sp.  pada dosis kompos tablet 20 ton/ha berpengaruh terhadap jumlah umbi, bahan kering tajuk, dan bahan kering umbi.

Abstract

Cabai merupakan salah satu hasil pertanian yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai penyedap rasa dalam masakan. Permintaan cabai di pasar cukup tinggi, namun jumlah produksi cabai tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen. Meningkatkan produktivitas cabai dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan larutan mikroorganisme lokal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan dan produksi cabai varietas Gada F1 akibat jenis bahan dan waktu pemberian larutan mikroorganisme lokal (MOL). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Screen house Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian (FPP), Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang pada tanggal 6 Juni – 17 November 2020. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 3 x 3  dengan 5 ulangan. Faktor pertama berupa perlakuan jenis bahan MOL meliputi M1 = MOL nasi basi, M2 = MOL limbah pepaya, dan M3 = MOL limbah tomat, kemudian waktu pemberian meliputi T1 = pemberian MOL saat tanam, T2 = pemberian MOL 7 hst, dan T3 = pemberian MOL 14 hst. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis bahan dan waktu pemberian MOL berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai. Perlakuan jenis bahan MOL darilimbah nasi basi (M1) memberikan hasil nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, waktu panen, dan jumlah buah,  sedangkan waktu pemberian MOL saat tanam (T1) memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, dan jumlah buah.

Abstract

Manure plus is manure’s nutrition improvement by the addition of organic N from (L. leucocephala) and nature P from (rock phosphate). The aim of this research are to evaluate the effect of  ‘manure plus’ on growth and production of sweet corn. The method used was Randomized Block Design with seven treatments and four replications. The treatments were P0 (ZA + TSP), P1 (Cattle manure + ZA + TSP), P2 (Goat manure + ZA + TSP), P3 (Poultry manure + ZA + TSP), P4 (Cattle manure + RP + + Leucaena leucocephala), P5 (Goat manure + RP+ Leucaena leucocephala), P6 (Poultry manure + RP + Leucaena leucocephala). KCl gave to all plots (150 kg K2O/ha). The parameters were plant height, leaf’s number, cob length, cob diameter, sum of seed row, and production of sweet corn. Data subjected to analysis of variance and followed DMRT at α = 5%. The result showed that cob diameter and sum of seed row of P4 had no significantly different compared to P1, P5 had no significantly different compared to P2, P6 had no significantly different compared to P3. The leaf’s number of P4 had no significantly different compared to P1, P5 had no significantly different compared to P2, whereas P3 had leaf’s number more than P6. All treatments had no significant effect towards plant height, cob length and production of sweet corn. Based on the research, manure plus can be used to substitute the role of manure + ZA + TSP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Rhizobium sp. and phoshate solubilizing bacteria and the application rock phosphate to the growth and production of soybean plants in saline soils. The methods used was Completely Randomized Design 4 x 3 with 3 replications. The first factor is treatment of Rhizobium sp. and phosphate solubilizing bacteria saline-resistant (CFU 109 cells/g) at 4 levels, F0 : 0 mg/pot, F1 : 10 mg/pot, F2 : 20 mg/pot, and F3 : 30 mg/pot. The second factor is doses of rock phosphate with 3 levels, B0: 0 kg/ha, B1: 50 kg/ha, and B2: 100kg/ha. The results showed that the inoculation of Rhizobium sp. and phosphate solubilizing bacteria saline-resistant were not significantly different on the N uptake parameters of seeds. Treatment with different doses of rock phosphate had no significant effect on all parameters. Inoculation of Rhizobium sp. and phosphate solubilizing bacteria and rock phosphate have not been able to significantly increase the growth and production of soybean varieties Anjasmoro in highly saline growing media with EC 6,26 dS/m, although there is a trend to increase soybean production.

Abstract

Desa Branjang merupakan salah satu Desa/Kelurahan yang ada di kecamatan Ungaran Barat, kabupaten Semarang yang mempunyai potensi cukup besar dibidang peternakan, pertanian, perikanan. Potensi bidang peternakan sapi cukup besar dimiliki masyarakat dusun Truko desa Branjang dengan jumlah peternak ada 40 orang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu sampai saat ini kotoran sapi hanya ditumpuk dan dibiarkan begitu saja di pinggir kandang, belum dimanfaatkan untuk menghasilkan produk yang lebih bermanfaat. Tujuan dari kegiatan KKN-PPM ini adalah untuk memanfaatkan limbah kotoran sapi yang melimpah antara lain : untuk membuat instalasi energi terbarukan biogas, pembuatan pupuk kompos dari kotoran sapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini oleh Tim KKN-PPM meliputi desain instalasi dan pembuatan instalasi energi terbarukan biogas yang diikuti dengan pelatihan pengopersian dan perawatan; pelatihan/workshop perancangan dan pembuatan pupuk kompos dari kotoran sapi pengemasan dan pemasaran, Luaran program pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Instalasi biogas dan produk biogas, 2) Pupuk kompos, 3) Publikasi, dan 4) Artikel ilmiah.Kata kunci: Branjang, Kotoran sapi , Energi terbarukan Biogas, Pupuk kompos.
