Abstract

Silica is a useful material in adsorption, electronics, mechanical, medical, art to other fields. In this study, Sodium silicate is used which can be used as a more economical precursor of silica as which is produced from natural silica. Silica was synthesized using the sol-gel method. This study aims to determine the effect of adding CTAB mass and  aging time in synthesizing silica. The synthesized silica was tested for iodine absorption value and characterized using FTIR. Based on the iodine absorption of variations in adding mass CTAB (0,1, 0,15, 0,2, 0,25, and 0,3 gram) and aging time (8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 hours) give the most absorption to optimum conditions of adding mass CTAB at 0,2 gram and aging time at 16 hours. The results of measurements with FTIR showed the presence of absorption bands which indicated the loss of CTAB in the synthesized silica.

Abstract

The type of research used is Educational Design Research with the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of 3 stages, namely; the preliminary research, the prototype phase, and the assessment phase. The research instruments used are; student observation sheets, teacher interview sheets, validity questionnaire sheets, practicality questionnaire sheets, and student learning outcomes tests. The e-module was validated by 5 validators. The results of the e-module validity test were analyzed using the Aiken's V formula, while the practicality test results were analyzed using a Likert scale. The results of the validity of the e-module obtained an average Aiken's V of 0.85 with a valid category and has a CVR value of 1  with a valid category. The results of the practicality of the e-module by teachers and students obtained an average practicality value of 98% and 84% with a very practical practicality category. The results of the e-module effectiveness test obtained an average N-Gain value for the experimental class of 0.63 with a medium category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning e-module electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution integrated demonstration video and scientific literacy that has been developed is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepraktisan e-modul berbasis discovery learning dengan teknik probing promting pada materi hukum dasar kimia untuk kelas X SMA. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji praktikalitas dari e-modul pada tahap penilaian dari fase model Plomp. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas X SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket praktikalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul memperoleh nilai kepraktisan sebesar 89,3 % dengan kategori sangat praktis Kesimpulannya, e-modul berbasis discovery learning dengan teknik probing promting pada materi hukum dasar kimia untuk kelas X SMA/MA dengan kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a powerpoint media for oxidation and reduction reactions based on quided inquiry learning towards high-level thinking abilities of X-grade Senior High School students. The model used is the RND (Research and Development) development model with the 4D method, namely the stages of definition (Define), design (Design), development (Develop) and dissemination (Disseminate). The limitation of this research is only up to the development stage. This development assessment is valid and practical. There are two categories of validation, namely material validation with content, construct, linguistic and graphic validation elements, while media expert validation uses display and media elements. Elements of practice can be seen from the questionnaire conducted by 36 students and 2 teachers. The results of this study are powerpoint media that meet valid and practical criteria, so that they can be used for learning oxidation and reduction reactions to high-level thinking skills in senior high school

Abstract

DSSC (Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell) is a type of third-generation solar cell based on dye as a photon absorber that has been widely used. In this study, modifications were made to tannin dyes to increase double bonds. Modifications were also carried out on the semiconductor by means of TiO2-CuO doping. TiO2-CuO doping can reduce the energy gap thereby increasing the TiO2 conductivity. The dyes were characterized using FTIR and GC-MS, while the TiO2-CuO doping was characterized using a UV-DRS Spectrophotometer. The results of FTIR characterization of poly tannin dyes have shown specific groups of polymerization of polytannin glutaraldehyde resin. The characterization of TiO2-CuO doping showed a decrease in the energy gap of 3,2 eV to 3,01 eV. The highest efficiency was produced at 90 minutes polymer time with a tannin monomer concentration of 0,4 M of 8,332%.

Abstract

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers merupakan pembentukan situs pengenalan molekuler dalam polimer dengan melakukan sintesis adanya template target. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui karakterisasi, pengaruh jumlah kolesterol, pengaruh waktu penyerapan dan pengaruh pH larutan kolesterol. Metode yang digunakan dalam sintesis MIPs adalah metode photopolimerisasi menggunakan cahaya ultraviolet dan dialiri gas nitrogen secara kontinyu. MIPs yang diperoleh berbentuk  membrane padatan transparan dan dikarakterisasi menggunakan FTIR. Berdasarkan hasil spectrum FTIR menunjukkan bahwa MIPs ekstraksi  tidak ditemukan puncak serapan gugus OH dan MIPs reekstraksi ditemukan puncak serapan gugus OH pada daerah  3395 cm-1.Kolesterol yang diserap MIPs dianalisis menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan dalam darah menggunakan easy touch. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh membrane MIPs kolesterol dengan kondisi penyerapan maksimum jumlah kolesterol pada membrane MIPs sebanyak 0,015 gram, dengan waktu kontak 30 menit. Efisiensi serapan MIPs dalam darah sebesar 9,9 mg/g. Hal ini menunjukkan MIPs yang disintesis dapat menyerap kolesterol dengan baik dalam larutan dan darah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which requires the learning process that should take place at school to be transferred to at home. The purpose of this study was to develop an e-module for material classification and its changes based on a scientific approach for seventh grade junior high schools. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) or development research with a 4-D development model. To produce E-module, the validity and practicality tests were carried out with the research instrument used, namely the validity questionnaire, the results of which were analyzed using the Kappa Cohen formula. This study produced an e-module of material classification and its changes based on a scientific approach with the average data obtained with the kappa moment of 0.88 with a very high level of validity, while the results of the teacher practicality test and the practicality test of students obtained the average kappa moment ( k) 0,86 and 0,87, respectively, with a very high level of practicality. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan proses pembelajaran yang seharusnya berlangsung di sekolah dialihkan menjadi di rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-modul klasifikasi materi dan perubahannya berbasis pendekatan saintifik untuk kelas VII SMP/MTs. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) atau penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4-D. Untuk menghasilkan E-modul yang standar dan sesuai kebutuhan, maka dilakukan uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas yang hasilnya akan dianalisis menggunakan formula Kappa Cohen. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan e-modul klasifikasi materi dan perubahannya berbasis pendekatan saintifik diperoleh nilai momen kappa sebesar 0,88 dengan kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan hasil uji praktikalitas guru dan uji praktikalitas peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata momen kappa (k) secara berturut-turut 0,86 dan 0,87 dengan kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The subject matter of petroleum at school is still difficult for students to be understand because of the length of the material description, many concepts using foreign terms, and the visualization of petroleum material in the teaching materials has not attracted enough attention. One way to obtain teaching materials that can increase students' motivation and understanding is to develop e-module teaching materials. E-modules also allow students to learn independently. The e-module was developed using a scientific approach as suggested in the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to develop a valid e-module. The type of research conducted is Educational Design Research. The e-module was developed using the Plomp development model which consists of three main steps, preliminary research stage, prototype stage and assessment phase. This research is limited to the validation stage. Validation was carried out by 5 validators, by three chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP and two chemistry teachers. The validation results are calculated using Aiken’s V statistics. From the results of data processing, it is found that the petroleum e-module based on the scientific approach developed is valid with value 0.83. Abstract

To produce Students Worksheet Using Problem Based Learning Based on Cognitive Conflict at Additive and Addictive Substance Material and explain the level of validity and practicality of worksheet. The type of research is used Research and Development or Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp Development model which consists of three stages: Preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessment stage. The research instrument used the form of a questionnaire for validity sheet and practicality of Problem Based Learning Based on Cognitive Conflict at Additive and Addictive Substance Material, it was validated by 4 validators consisting of 2 lecturers of Natural Science FMIPA UNP, and 2 teachers from SMP N 31 Padang. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research discussed the Development of Inquiry Based Learning Module Based on Science Object Material and Observation of Odd Semester Grade VII of SMPN 13 Padang. This study aims to produce inquiry-based modules that can help students increase their interest in learning and independent learning in understanding subject matter, as well as investigating validity and practicality. This type of the research is the Ploomp development model which consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototype stage, and assessment phase. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The Observation was validated by a validator consisting of 2 lecturers at the Natural Sciences of UNP, and 2 science teachers at SMPN 13 Padang. The Practicality Test was conducted by science teachers and students of class VII at SMPN 13 Padang. Based on the results of the research conducted, an inquiry based learning module was obtained. The Product research by teachers based on the average ease of use of validity ,the efficiency of learning time and the benefits of using validity module are very high.
