Abstract

At present, almost every organizers holds an attractive bazaar due to the growing number of enthusiasts who want to join bazaar. Bazaar can be an alternative place to sell new product and introduce the local product to the general society. Booking booth process in bazaar still using manual system, which tenant fills the order form and then the form is scanned to be sent to the organizer of the event via e-email. Once the booking is received, event organizer has to check and make a registration list of tenants whom will join the bazaar. Therefore there is a need to have an information system to help both eventorganizer and tenant to make a better booking process. Aplication Bazaar based on Android and website intends to help user do all booking process efficiently.Application based on mobile assist tenant in making reservation from fill form until payment order. It helps tenant to search for information about the bazaar which will be held in accordance with bazaar categories of interest and can follow event, so tenant will be easier to get bazaar information. In addition, application based on website helps event organizer to manage the whole process from booking to the payment which received from tenant order, then event organizer can edit event map in order to facilitate tenant when choose a booth at the bazaar.The test results which obatained have two modules, Mobile Application based on Android for tenant and application website for event organizer. Mobile Application can make a booking in bazaar, can get a notification, follow the event, displaying order data. Application website for the event organizer can manage the whole order and payment from tenant, and can edit map event to help tenant make an order. From the test of mobile application that have been done, 50% of respondents rate the app is overall good, and 42% of respondent rate the app overall very good. For Website Application, event organizer has satified with the existing features on the website.

Abstract

Tourism is an activity which is done by one or many persons for having holiday or recreation. Finding a good tourism spot, which fits with one’s interest and spare time, is not an easy task. In general, tourism information that appears on the websites or in the mobile applications is not based on user's interest. Lack of information is a hassle for someone who is having holiday.Therefore, a recommendation-system application was made using content-based and collaborative-based methods as a means to choose tourism spots in accordance with user's preferences This Android application has features to list tourist spots which suit the user's preferences give some alternate routes to user, show details of the tourism spots, and show their locations in the map.From the conducted test, the system can recommends tourism spotsthat match with user’s preferences, and user can see the recommended alternate routes and the detailed information of the tourist spots.

Abstract

In the past few years, Big Data has been a trend in the world of Information Technology. Alongside the growth of organizations, the bigger the data that is owned, some can reach the scale of Terabytes to Pentabytes. When an organization wants to do an analysis of a Big Data it takes time due to limited CPU and memory. To overcome this, there is a paradigm which is called distributed computing. There are many tools that aim to cultivate Big Data such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and etc. However, the tool that is going to be analyzed is the Apache Hadoop.The adoption rate of Big Data in Indonesia is 20% for 2 to 3 years into the future [1]. Seeing these facts, more and more companies are planning to adopt Big Data to analyze their data. Due to the increasing use of Big Data and Apache Hadoop, it is conducted an exploratory analysis of data correlation on Apache Hadoop. In addition, testing was also done using the Apache Hadoop with varying number of nodes, mappers and reducers, and number of different block sizes [10].Exploratory analysis of data correlation on Apache Hadoop is done by making four types of data analysis applications, namely two applications correlation values for the data search Yahoo! Messenger and two applications for creating classification trees. Based on test results obtained that the R application is more suitable for smaller data size while Hadoop is more suitable for large data size. For large data, application R uses higher percentage of CPU and memory than Hadoop. The combination of mapper and reducer that will provide the most optimal execution time is for mapper in the range of 2/3 of the total CPU cores, while the reducer is 1/3 of the total CPU cores.

Abstract

Along with the very fast growth of social media, more users use it to share photos/videos about food. Many people use it to store food pictures and recommend the food they like therefore it will make other people want to try it. The high demand of culinary information brings an opportunity for culinary business owner to promote their business through social media. This application can help users and business owners to obtain complete culinary information through photos/videos, address, contacts, menus and trending foods so that it will be easier for them to conduct transactions. The application will also help the user to go to a culinary place they want. This application was built using phonegap on android operating system which is known for easy usage and the most used operating system in the world. The test results show that 73,3% respondents think that this application is really helpful because of it’s high usage and the feature that helps owners to promote and  conduct transactions.

Abstract

The Bible as the most popular and influential book, most printed and translated in various languages in the world. There are about 2,527 translations of parts of the biblical text, and 475 translations of the full text of the Bible. The purpose of all this is so that many people in the world can read the Bible in understandable languages. In this translation process, there is a possibility that there is a gap between the original language of the Bible and the language of translation. To answer this problem, an application is designed that applies the Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm and is packaged in efmaral tools to correlate the original language of the Bible with other languages known as the Interlinear Bible. The Intelinear Bible (ITL) is a means to see the meaning of words or phrases in the original text of the Bible. With the Interlinear Bible, the gap between the original language of the Bible and the translation language can be overcome. Interlinear bible is one application of word alignment which has a function to identify the relationship between words in parallel text in two different languages. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that the addition of the first word randomly at the beginning of each verse can increase the recall results, precision and f-measure of the algorithm both the correlation between Javanese and Hebrew, as well as the correlation between Javanese and Greek. In addition, the more number of words correlated, can increasing recall, precision and f-measure value.

Abstract

Dissemination of information and recruitment of event committees at Petra Christian University are still manually performed. Students still have difficulties to get the information about activities / events in campus which are still open committee recruitment. Therefore, Petra Christian University needs a website to provide information to all students and facilitate students in registering committee activities.This thesis made web-based application inside social media facebook which use facebook API and PostageApp email service to broadcast committee informations. Features provided in this application are adding new committee activities, searching activities, the registration of committee, committee acceptance, notification, the committee appraisal, displaying the committee history of students, approving the committee activities, and importing data from an excel file. This application is made using the programming language PHP and HTML, CodeIgniter framework, and MySQL database.Based on the tests performed, this website application can be run on facebook canvas that can be accessed after logging on facebook and approving the permissions dialog. This application can help students get information about the activities of the committee at Petra Christian University, assist the process of registration and recruitment committee. The website can also provide broadcast facebook and email notifications to students. This application derive satisfaction score of 82,03% respondents.

Abstract

Nowadays application for storing images and videos have been very easy to find. Videos and images can be found on social media appplications. However, images and videos are not too restricted to be submitted by member in social media applications. It makes the user rather difficult to find videos or images that are inspiring. In general, inspiration media application only for showing videos or images. Besides that, there are applications that can only be accessed on the website or Android. Inspiration media application that already exist can be only inserted by admin so that the user can not upload video or image that the user want.MPV (Motivation Photo and Video) application made for help the user to find application that only have inspiration content more easy. That is because this application only save video or image with these categories such as motivation, work, relation, spiritual, and health. This application gives permission for member to upload video and image that the user want. Member can make quote as they want. Videos or images on application can be shared to others by Facebook. This application also can send notification to member.Based on the test result, the conclusion is this application that made on Android can run well on Android version 4.4 (Kitkat) to Android version 5.0 (Lollipop). This application also can upload video, upload image, send notification to member about the latest video or image, share image and video on Facebook and make a personal quote.

Abstract

Real estate has growth significantly in Indonesia recently, there are many new estates , apartment , shop for sale. There are several media used to advertise properties for sale, for example let’ say brochures , banners , newspapers , the internet . Among a lot of advertisement media , internet is the most effective because it does not need to pay extra fee for promotion , can load the images for the real estate , the number of people who access the Internet are very large , the search can be detailed based on user demand . Many real estate agents have promote their real estate on the internet. Therefore, this thesis tries to make an application that can help sellers to enter data from the real estate to be sold , and help potential buyers to search for properties in accordance with his wishes . Searches can be more effective in the presence of the coordinates on Google Maps as a property and a map service provider. The test results showed that the difference in screen resolution on Android devices can affect the appearance of the application on diferent device . Increasing number of data entered in the spinner will make the process of loading spinner itself is getting slow .

Abstract

Chinese is a language that's becoming known Nationally and Internationally as well as widely spoken in various walks of life. For this reason, many schools was introduced Chinese language learning from kindergarten. Sometimes kids feel bored using books for learning, because they think that books is not interested and not flexible. Learning Chinese must attractive and flexible to attract children to learn. The use of mobile learning applications installed on the Android device using Eclipse IDE to get data is a way to learning and help the child to be able to learn independently, through features that are provided.Features was provided for learning Chinese is equipped with teaching materials are classified into several categories including learning menu, writing hanzi menu, the exercise menu consisting of quizzes, games and video. To see the development of the child's ability to there is quiz features provided with the assessment contained in the score menu. Based on the results of testing, this learning applications can run well on devices with the Android operating system version 4.1 to 5.0.2, and accessing databases on the admin web it is running well. That’s all to provide children comfort to learning Mandarin. There testing done by giving questionnaires to 10 respondents to determine the level of satisfaction. Based on questionnaires distributed, 50 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the overall application and another 50 percent said they were very satisfied.

Abstract

Portfolio using single index models already common made by the players and also the financial consultant. Portfolio of stocks in order to determine what combination of stocks that can be purchased with the expected result is maximum profit with very little risk.But not all the players especially the new players will not understand about the portfolio. Based on these problems, then made a web-based application that can calculate the desired stock portfolio in order to understand whether the stock is favorable or not to optimize the speed of data processing and data entry. Also use the display that is easily understood by the user even if the user is included layman in terms of stocks.The end result of making this application is the calculation that can be justified by proving the truth compared to manual calculation.
