Abstract

Currently, vehicles has become important for human life to go from one place to another place. Now there is a tool called Car DVR which is a tool for recording events during the trip in video form, but Car DVR which has a feature to record location data and good video result is relatively expensive.Therefore, in this thesis made an Android application that has functions such as Car DVR but equipped with GPS and live streaming. With this application user can record video complete with location data and map. This application also can be used to share traveling experiences to anyone else through the live video streaming along with the location data in real-time.The test results showed that this application is able to record videos with location data and map nicely. The accuracy of location data and map is affected by the quality of internal GPS Android. Live streaming feature requires a stable internet connection and upload speeds above 1 Mbps to get good result.

Abstract

At this time many doctors appointment was made by telephone and it is less effective and practical. On the other hand there are many medical record dentistry is done manually. Entry data which is done manually often waste of time because the nurses had to find the archive file a particular patient's medical record. Additionaly, patients often lost or hard to find.Looking at the various problems that occurred from appointment to the medical record on the patient, this software is a system that can process  patient appointment data, and also record the patient's medical history. This software is created with the web-based program that uses PHP and MySQL as the database.The end result of this program is that users can perform an online appointment at a doctor's office specified in according with the schedule. Besides that, doctors can make record medical record online and history can be viewed online.

Abstract

Student often have problems when learning science because some theory unobserveable at daily life. As an example, it is hard to imagine that coffee powder does not really combined with water particle. For those reason, simulation techonology has been created.Learning media which created in this thesis based on looped animation and interactive system that purposed on assisting student to learn chemist in interactive module. Application designed for four chemist lesson which implemented in simulation, several quiz and games. Mixture lesson displayed in interactive simulation that student can try some simple experiment. Atom’s model, Periodic Table and Chemical bond displayed in interactive media that encourage student to explore the content of lesson themselves.Test result shown that the application is able to help student to learn chemist theory. Three part of application give adequate lesson for student and a part of application need more improvement. Animation used in application is able to improve student’s understanding about chemist theory.

Abstract

The process of learning the lessons of history are often regarded as tedious, because the lessons of history study the events that happened in the past. Moreover, history lessons are also taught only by using an image or text. Therefore, in order that history lessons can become more attractive in it’s teaching, multimedia applications were made to teach the history interactively.This application resemble the learning system of Pattimura heroic history more interactive and interesting, because users are actively involved in the learning process. The teaching of the history starts from the birth of Pattimura, until death of Pattimura. In this application, there are also tests made, so the user can remember about the material that has been provided. This application is created using Adobe Flash CS6 and actionscript 3 as a programming language. Based on the results of testing of the applications and questionnaires, applications can be run by fully and strongly supports the process of understanding the historical material. This application adds to the interest in learning from the user, because of the interesting animation, and easy to use application. Users who doesn’t read narrative and do the applications in haste would have some difficulties to obtain a good final score.

Abstract

Nowadays, similar marketplace applications have diverse features and good security system. But many of internet users abuse the marketplace facilities just for personal benefit fraud for example by using invalid personal data (fake account) thus lost buyer trust in transaction through the marketplace sites. Based on this need, a marketplace application for students and alumnus of Petra Christian University has been made as a source of information and an intermediary to connect between sellers and buyers, and also to build buyer trust against the seller by using a username that has been integrated with valid data.Marketplace application for students and alumnus of Petra Christian University is designed using the bootstrap framework, supported with AJAX, PHP and SOAP on the features of third-party transactions, PayPal, and also mediating complaints via live chat. This application has been integrated with email and password which are recorded in the student database of Petra Christian University (john.petra.ac.id). This application also equipped with HTTPS, Anti-XSS (Cross Site Scripting) and Anti SQL Injection as safety standards.As the results, this marketplace application can establish buyer trust against the seller for online transaction by using username that has been intergrated with valid data. This application has been equipped with third party transactions features and paypal. In addition, there is reviewuser features that help to convince buyers to choose definite seller. As well as a live chat feature to mediate complaints between buyers, sellers, and admin.

Abstract

Amid the many activities that continue to rise, and time-consuming public to buy food directly to the desired bakery. Then some of the food and bakery through examples of existing cases, birth of a solution by providing messaging services, and to send food to the customer. If there is a case, if a person does not know what the menu is available, then surely someone is forced out of the house and go to the food or bakery it to make sure it directly. By using the application, with the internet on the device or gadget on your laptop or computer, the delivery service can be accessed more practical and very easy to use, as well as other benefits can save time and costs. Application delivery order this bakery, a web-based information system designed with HTML5, providing the process of ordering products from the bakery Vania Bakery. Thus the customers who use the system, can be more convenient ordering process and can save energy and costs. In addition to the application is expected to attract more buyers in order to increase the income of the bakery.

Abstract

Along with technological advances, many applications are already using technology called Augmented Reality, a technology that combines two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real three-dimensional environment and projects those virtual objects in real-time. Augmented Reality itself allows users to interact in real-time with the system. Augmented Reality is widely used in various things, for example in the field of entertainment, advertising and also used in the games. But of the many games in circulation, there are still few games that use Augmented Reality as the main key in the game.Tower defense games have the primary purpose of protecting a base from being reached by enemies running on predetermined paths by constructing tower placements. By using augmented reality, user can play the game through various viewpoints in accordance with the movement of the camera on the android device that leads to the marker so that it will increase the interaction between players with the game.Through testing can be proven that the use of Vuforia’s Augmented Reality can be used for game development because it can provide good results. Application of Augmented Reality in this game makes the game more interesting so players will not feel bored even though it has played the game many times.

Abstract

Nowadays, technology is growing rapidly and becoming more sophisticated, especially communications technology. Information can be deployed without having to meet each other. No doubt that any confidential information sent over the Internet. Through various types of information is developing techniques for damage or maintaining the security of the dissemination of information on the internet.Securing data by using cryptography is needed for sending confidential data so that not everyone can access it. Process undertaken in this study is encrypted messages with MARS method. Input in an application that is designed in the form of plaintext messages or files to be encrypted, then the key to encrypt the message. This application is made with the Java programming language using NetBeans IDE 7.4.The test results indicate that the encryption with MARS method can be performed on any type of file (example: text file, song or audio file, video file or movie, etc.). Files can be decrypted back to normal if the password is the same as the password for the encryption.

Abstract

Traffic signs are important parts of street equipments which consist of attributes, letters, numbers, sentences and can be  the combinations of all  in order to help street users. But in the reality there are still a lot of traffic accidents happen because of the lack of understanding about the traffic signs by the vehicles drivers and pedestrians.There are so many informations about traffic signs from media, such as books, advertising and seminars from the police department, but those media are considered ineffective, not interesting and less interactive.Consequently, a learning media application is made by using Adobe Flash so it can help other people to be more attracted to learn about traffic signs. This application have informations about the meaning of the traffic, theoretics questions that has been used to get a driving license, pratice test to get a driving license and driving game simulation.From the result of the experiment, this application can help users in understanding the traffic signs and can convince them to reuse this application. At the process of friendly use to apply this application, not all users directly understand on how to use it.

Abstract

At this time the CV. X does not have a structured accounting information system. Transactions are recorded manually, causing a slow information exchange and losses caused by error in the calculation of VAT. Based on the background of this problem, we designed a structured accounting informastion system along with the calculation of VAT. This application is made using Yii PHP Framework with PHP as programming language and MySQL for database. The results obtained from these aplication are purchases and sales recording, calculation of payable VAT for each month, purchases and sales report, VAT report, and financial report such as income statement, owner’s equity, balance sheet and trial balance.
