Abstract

Best Cow is a cow milk processing industry to provide value to milk aimed at obtaining income, efficiency and strategy. Pure milk has characteristics which are perishable and has short durability, so then came an idea to process pure milk in order to keep Best Cow away from loss and extend the durability. This study aimed to determine added value, incomes, cost efficiency and development strategy of Best Cow cow’s milk processing bussiness on Production Unit of Galur Murni Breeder Cooperation Ajung district Jember Regency. This research was held at Production Unit of Galur Murni Breeder Cooperation at Ajung district, Jember Regency. The method used were descriptive and analytic. Sampling method used were purposive sampling. Data was collected by open interview, observation, and documentation. Data was analized using added value analysis, income analysis, cost efficiency, and SWOT. The results show that: (1) Added value of two products are: (a) added value per liter of raw materials on pure cow’s milk processing into pasteurized milk is Rp 14.180,90 or 54,77% from output value (b) added value per liter of raw materials on pure cow’s milk processing into yogurt is Rp 19.688,41 or 54,69% from output value.; (2) Income of two products are: (a) income of pure cow’s milk processing into pasteurized milk is Rp 3.323.705,56/month (b) income of pure cow’s milk processing into yogurt is Rp 1.969.243,06/month. (3) Cost efficiency of two products are: (a) cost efficiency of pure cow’s milk processing into pasteurized milk efficien with R/C ratio of 1,67 (b) cost efficiency of pure cow’s milk processing into yogurt efficien with R/C ratio of 1,72; (4) Development strategy which has determined is production capacity and expand marketing area with the availability of raw materials

Abstract

The sugarcane supply chain needs to be efficient and highly coordinated to ensure quality and quantity. Contract farming is an instrument used to achieve efficiency and high coordination of the sugarcane supply chain. The efficiency of contract farming depends on how the contract's arrangement satisfies the requirements and characteristics of each party involved. This study aimed to analyze the arrangement and farmer's satisfaction toward the implementation of contract farming. This study was conducted at PG Wonolangan in Probolinggo, East Java, on March, April, and September 2018. The samples used in this study consisted of 100 sugarcane contract farmers in PG Wonolangan and seven employees of PG Wonolangan. Descriptive and rank Spearman correlation analyses were employed to analyze the arrangement and farmer's satisfaction toward contract farming. The results of this study showed that there was a change in the contractual arrangement between PG and farmers. Currently, the role of PG changed from acting as farm credit and inputs supplier into a market guarantor for farmers; the changes reduced the risk and capital requirements of PG. In general, farmers were satisfied with the implementation of contract farming. The farmers' satisfaction increased as farm extension, scheduled planting and harvesting times, and the quickest harvest and transport management. However, they have concerns regarding farm inputs provision and profit-sharing mechanism.Keywords: Sugarcane agribusiness, correlation analysis, supply chainAbstrakKEPUASAN PETANI TERHADAP POLA DAN KINERJA KEMITRAAN USAHATANI TEBU DI PABRIK GULA WONOLANGAN, PROBOLINGGO, JAWA TIMURRantai pasok agribisnis tebu perlu efisiensi dan keeratan koordinasi yang tinggi untuk menjaga kualitas dan kuantitas gula yang dihasilkan. Kemitraan adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan koordinasi rantai pasok agribisnis tebu. Efisiensi kemitraan tergantung pada bagaimana pola kemitraan tersebut bisa memuaskan kebutuhan dan karakteristik pihak yang bermitra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola kemitraan usahatani tebu dan kepuasan petani terhadap kinerja kemitraan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Pabrik Gula (PG) Wonolongan di Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur, pada bulan Maret, April, dan September 2018. Responden terdiri dari 100 petani mitra PG Wonolangan dan 7 pegawai PG Wonolangan. Analisis deskriptif dan korelasi rank spearman digunakan untuk menjelaskan pola kemitraan dan kepuasan petani terhadap kemitraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan pola kemitraan antara PG dengan petani. PG berubah peran dari yang sebelumnya sebagai pemberi kredit dan input usahatani menjadi penjamin pasar, perubahan ini menurunkan risiko usaha PG serta modal awal yang harus dikeluarkan PG. Secara umum, petani mitra merasa puas dengan kemitraan yang dijalankan PG Wonolangan. Faktor yang memperkuat kepuasan petani adalah adanya bimbingan teknis dari PG, teraturnya jadwal tanam dan panen, serta cepatnya proses tebang dan angkut. Akan tetapi fasilitas saprodi, sistem bagi hasil dan penentuan rendemen dengan sistem hamparan merupakan faktor yang menjadi perhatian petani.Kata kunci : Agribisnis tebu, analisis korelasi, rantai pasok.

Abstract

Desa Mayangan sudah lama membudidayakan semangka akan tetapi masih terjadi kendala diantaranya tingkat produktivitas yang masih rendah, kapasitas produksi yang menurun, kondisi iklim dan cuaca yang tidak menentu.  Tingkat produktivitas yang rendah dapat berhubungan dengan penggunaan faktor produksi serta tingkat efisien petani dalam menggunakan input yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tingkat produksi, (2) efisiensi teknis usahatani semangka, (3) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi teknis usahatani semangka di Desa Mayangan Kecamatan Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember. Metode dalam penelitian menggunakan data deskriptif dan analitis dengan pengambilan contoh dilakukan dengan cara Proportionate stratified random sampling, sehingga terpilih 50 sampel petani semangka berdasarkan tingkatan luas lahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi semangka di Desa Mayangan adalah luas lahan (X1), tenaga kerja (X2), pupuk organik (X3), pupuk kimia (X4), dan bibit (X5), sedangkan pestisida cair (X6) dan pestisida padat (X7) tidak berpengaruh nyata. (2) Tingkat efisiensi teknis petani semangka secara keseluruhan dalam penggunaan faktor produksi semangka di Desa Mayangan dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,68. (3) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi teknis secara parsial dalam usahatani semangka di Desa Mayangan adalah pengalaman petani (tahun) dan dummy keikutsertaan kelompok tani.

Abstract

Kopi Arabika yang berada di Kabupaten Jember ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kopi arabika specialty ketinggian sedang dan berbasis kawasan karena hanya bisa ditanam di ketinggian lebih dari 700 dpl. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif sedangkan penentuan daerah penelitian secara purposive method. Tujuan utama dari pelatihan pengolahan primer dan pengolahan sekunder yang diberikan kepada petani adalah untuk memberikan nilai tambah (added value) kepada komoditas kopi terutama kopi arabika ketinggian sedang di Kabupaten Jember.Berdasarkan hasil uji testcup, final score kopi arabika ketinggian sedang dari Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan Taman Putri Desa Kemiri Kecamatan Panti adalah sebesar 60.50. Hasil dari uji testcup kopi arabika di Desa Karangpring Kecamatan Sukorambi Kabupaten Jember adalah sebesar 78.50.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kopi arabika di Kabupaten Jember sangat berpotensi untuk mendapatkan kualitas specialty asalkan memenuhi persyaratan bahan baku dan diolah secara basah dengan SOP dari Puslitkoka. Berdasarkan kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi bahwa kegiatan penelitian dengan menggunakan PRA (Participatory Research Appraisal)dalam pengembangan kopi arabika specialty ketinggian sedang berbasis kawasan di Kabupaten Jember memerlukan upaya yang terus-menerus dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat desa hutan yang benar-benar-benar ingin melakukan perubahan dalam menjawab kebutuhan utamanya untuk meningkatkan pendapatannya serta dukungan dari berbagai pihak yang secara sinergis untuk mendukung aktifitas dalam melakukan pengolahan primer maupun pengolahan sekunder.

Abstract

Arabica and robusta coffees as the agricultural commodities are cultivated in Pakem sub-district, Bondowoso regency. One of the companies processing arabica and robusta coffees in Bondowoso is Lereng Tancak Kembar agroindustry. However, the agroindustry often experiences some obstacles to market its products because road access to the area is quite difficult, so the condition increases transportation costs. Therefore, it is necessary to know about the marketing channel of Lereng Tancak Kembar, so it affects the price and margin of coffee marketing to the last consumers. The reserach area was determined purposively. Descriptive data analysis was used to analyze the coffee marketing channel, and marketing margin analysis was used to know the coffee marketing margin. The findings indicated that: (1) the marketing of Lereng Tancak Kembar coffee had four marketing channels, consisting of two Arabica coffee marketing channels and two robusta coffee marketing channels. The first marketing channel of arabica coffee included: agroindustry - sales - retailers - consumers. The second marketing channel included: agroindustry - retailers - consumers. The first marketing channel of robusta coffee included: agro-industry - sales - retailers - consumers. The second marketing channels of robusta coffees included: agroindustry - retailers - consumers. (2) the marketing margin for the first channel of arabica coffee was Rp. 86,660.00, and the second channel was Rp. 53,330.00. The marketing margin for the first channel of robusta coffee was Rp. 100,000.00, and the second channel was Rp. 85,000.00.

Abstract

Coffee production in Indonesia encourages ideas and innovations to create processed coffee products, especially Arabica coffee. Along with that, the competition in the coffee shop business in Indonesia is increasingly widespread, which causes business competition to become increasingly fierce. It takes commitment to business processes to maintain consumer confidence in the business being run. This study aims to determine the satisfaction and loyalty of consumers of Banyuwangi Blend Arabica coffee in Banyuwangi. The population used in this study as many as 85 people are Banyuwangi Blend consumers at Kopine Cafe Banyuwangi. The results show that consumers are satisfied and loyal but need to improve related attributes to create higher satisfaction and loyalty. If the Kopine Cafe can maintain and improve the related attributes, it will get higher consumer satisfaction and loyalty and can compete with its competitors.

Abstract

Bawang merah memilki karakteristik mudah rusak (perishable) dan fluktuasi harga bawang merah berkontribusi terhadap inflasi. Di Jawa Timur harga bawang merah di tingkat konsumen lebih berfluktuasi dari pada harga bawang merah di tingkat produsen dan perubahan harga bawang merah di tingkat produsen tidak selalu diikuti oleh perubahan harga bawang merah di tingkat konsumen begitu sebaliknya. Kedua permasalahan tersebut terjadi karena proses transmisi harga bawang merah dari tingkat produsen ke konsumen atau sebaliknya belum berjalan secara sempurna dan bersifat asimetris. Transmisi harga yang demikian itu dapat menyebabkan pasar produsen bawang merah dan pasar konsumen bawang merah di Jawa Timur tidak terintegrasi secara vertikal. Analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan koefisien variasi (KV) dan VECM. Hasil analisis fluktuasi harga menunjukkan bahwa nilai KV untuk harga bawang merah di Jawa Timur di tingkat produsen dan konsumen masing-masing sebesar 28% dan 39% yang menunjukkan bahwa harga bawang merah tidak stabil. Hasil analisis integrasi pasar menunjukkan bahwa antara pasar produsen dan pasar konsumen bawang merah di Jawa Timur terintegrasi dalam jangka panjang dan tidak terintegrasi dalam jangka pendek.

Abstract

According to the BAPPEDA of Situbondo Regency, in 2022 there were 88 stunting cases in Tanjung Kamal Village. Tanjung Kamal Village is one of the villages that are of concern to the Situbondo government in preventing stunting in 2023. The problem with preventing stunting in this village is that Posyandu volunteers' knowledge of stunting is still limited. Posyandu volunteers have an important role in stunting prevention, so it is necessary to increase their knowledge of stunting prevention. This community service activity aims to provide education related to the importance of stunting prevention for Posyandu cadres in Kamal Village. Service activities include counseling about stunting, the practice of making complementary food menus for breast milk (MP-ASI) according to village potential, and making stunting prevention guidebooks. The result of this service is an increase in the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in Kamal village regarding stunting and the creation of MP-ASI so that it can help educate Posyandu members.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the important food commodity’s after rice which has a strategic position in the overall national food policy because its role is critical in Indonesia food menu resident. Needs of the community and soybean processing industry tend to increased from year to year has not been matched by theavailability of sufficient soy because soy production in the domestic remains low. The constraints of national soybean production increased many faces, one of which is the low productivity of soybean. The low productivity because most farmers do not use quality seed varieties and crop management techniques arestill not optimal. One of the main program the Ministry of Agriculture relating to technological innovation as an effort to increase production of food cropsincluding soybeans is PTT (Integrated Crop Management) approach and is done through SLPTT (Integrated Crop Management Field School). However, theimplementation is still faced many obstacles, mainly in terms of farming techniques that lead to the production and productivity of soybean at the farm level is relatively low so the income of farmers is also low. The objective of this study was to analyze how far the Integrated Crop Management Field School (SLPTT) Program can increase farmers income. The farmer population under study is divided into two, namely the participant farmers of SLPTT Program and farmers are not participants of SLPTT Program. By using the Unit Output Price Cobb-Douglas’s profit function obtained conclusion that SLPTT Program can increase farmers income. The factors that affect negatively and significantly to the income are the price of seed,the price of fertilizer, the prices of pesticides and the wage of labor, while the factor that affect positively and significantly to the income is land size. Soybean farm of SLPTT farmers are more efficient economically than non SLPTT soybean farmers.

Abstract

The Covid19 pandemic has had a major impact on weakening Indonesia's economic sectors, including Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The MSME sector is one of the sectors that makes a big contribution to the national economy, so it needs to rise during the current Covid19 pandemic. Such as the problems experienced by food businesses in Kraton Village - Jember regarding the decline in turnover caused by the Covid19 pandemic. The decline in sales results was not only caused by the COVID-19 pandemic but also a lack of product marketing such as not utilizing online marketing via social media. Insufficient understanding of how to market products online is also one of the reasons for the decline in product sales during this pandemic. Seeing situations like this, it is necessary to carry out activities aimed at educating on the use of social media and optimizing business during this pandemic.
