This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of guided discovery in terms of students’conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population in this study was all students of grade VIII of SMP Tri Sukses in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 85 students which were distributed into four classes, they were VIII A until VIII D. The samples of this research were students of VIII A as many as 20 students and VIII C as many as 22 students which were taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research was used non equivalent control group design. The data of this research was obtained from student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics data. The data analysis of this research use d t-test. Based on the results and discussion, guided discovery model influenced to student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Keyword: student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics, guided discovery, influence Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Tri Sukses Natar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 85 peserta didik yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas, yakni VIII A hingga VIII D. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A sebanyak 20 siswa dan VIII C sebanyak 22 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan non equivalent control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji- t.
