Abstract

Learning materials have been developed in inorganic chemistry elements of transition elements have been developed online. The flow of the development model suggested by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel is 4-D (four D Models). This model consists of 4 stages of development, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, but in this study it is limited to the develop stage. Based on the results of observations of student activities and student response questionnaires, it can be concluded that the material in the Inorganic Chemistry of the Transition Element is feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of student worksheet with blended learning orientation to improve KPS in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. The method used is Research and Development. Data collection was obtained from three validators in the field of chemistry education using validation sheets. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. This study discusses the validity of the developed LKPD, in terms of content and in terms of constructs. The results based on the validation assessment by the validator obtained very valid results on the content validity and construct validity with the respective percentages of 81.90% and 85.64%. It is concluded that student worksheet oriented blended learning to improve KPS in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material is valid as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the students' critical thinking. The subjects of this study were 37 students of XI-Science E from Senior High School 2 Tuban, who used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research was a Class Action Research (CAR) used interviews with chemistry teachers at Senior High School 2 Tuban, the observation’s instruments were used student activity sheet and posttest questions to measure the students’ critical thinking skills. The research was conducted in two cycles with a total of four meetings. The data analyzed descriptively and obtained were learning using PBL between cycles 1 and 2 experienced increase in activity of paying attention to teacher explanations, giving opinions, investigating, analyzing solutions, and students' critical thinking skills increased based on the analysis of posttest scores in cycles 1 and 2. The mean value in cycle 1 of the interpretation indicator was 45 while in cycle 2 it went up to 97, in the inference indicator the average of cycle 1 was 58 while cycle 2 increased to 98 and the analysis indicator in cycle 1 had an average value of 53 while cycle 2 was 81. The completeness of students was seen by the percentage of students whose posttest scores in cycle 2 reached KKM, namely interpretation of 97% (35) of students complete, inference of 95% (35) students complete, and analysis as much as 86% (32) students completed.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Electronic LKPD to improve students' metacognitive skills through problem-based learning model on petroleum material with validity criteria. The procedure used in the research is 4D by Thiagarajan and in the limited test a onegroup pretest-posttest research design was carried out. The development of teaching materials in the study refers to Thiangarajan's 4D model (1974) which consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, but because in this development research using limited product trials, the research stages are carried out in sequence until the Develop stage (Thiagarajan, Sammel, & Sommel, 1974). This trial design used a one group pretest-posttest design. In this design, two tests were carried out, namely before being given treatment called pretest and after treatment called posttest. The instrument used is a media validation sheet for the validity of Electronic LKPD. In one of the public high schools in Mojokerto, metacognitive skills are very low at 20%. Based on interviews with chemistry teachers, it was found that the chemistry learning model in class often applies lecture models, discussions, so that students are less actively involved in learning and teachers have never tested students' metacognitive skills. This has an impact on the metacognitive skills of students in chemistry lessons are less than satisfactory, especially in petroleum material. The results of product validation consist of the mode on the content criteria getting validity 4 and the mode on the construct criteria getting validity 4 with both criteria being very valid. So that the Electronic LKPD developed is valid to improve students' metacognitive skills through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on Petroleum Material.

Abstract

Abstract

The era of education that occurs in the 21st century places demands on students to ensure the ability to think creatively to solve various problems. Apart from that, the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 plays a role in the current generation in terms of technology and the internet. The aim of this research is to determine the validity of E-LAPD oriented Problem Based Learning (PBL) to train creative thinking skills on reaction rate material. This research uses an R&D model, one of which is ADDIE. The ADDIE development research model consists of 5 stages, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate, but without carrying out the Implementation stage. This validation was carried out by 3 validators, namely 2 chemistry lecturers and 1 chemistry teacher at SMA Labschool Unesa 1 Surabaya. The results of the analysis of aspect of content validity get a mode value of 4 with a valid category, while for aspect construct validity it gets a mode value of 5 with a very valid category, the results of the content and construct validity values get a mode score of  ≥ 3, so E- LPAD can be declared valid. So that E-LAPD media can be used in learning.
