Abstract

Pemanfaatan android dalam pembelajaran matematika sudah selayaknya dilakukan karena siswa telah terbiasa menggunakan smartphone namun pemanfaatannya untuk belajar masih kurang. Berdasarkan permintaan kelompok guru Matematika Kota Pagaralam untuk dilakukan pendampingan dalam membuat bahan ajar berbasis android, serta keunggulan dari aplikasi Geogebra, maka tujuan dari kegiatan Pendampingan Pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah untuk mendampingi guru mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis android menggunakan Geogebra, melihat respon guru peserta terhadap pendampingan, serta melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari salah satu guru peserta setelah belajar menggunakan Geogebra android. Metode yang digunakan dalam PPM ini adalah ceramah, pembagian bahan, dan demonstrasi. Analisis keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan melihat ketercapaian seluruh rencana kegiatan, nilai rerata respon peserta minimal baik, dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan uji bertanda Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh rencana kegiatan terlaksana dengan baik, di mana Tim PPM berhasil mendapatkan 12 bahan ajar berbasis android dari guru peserta. Respon peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan tergolong baik dan sangat baik pada semua indikator. Hasil uji Wilcoxon , yang berarti hasil belajar siswa tidak berbeda secara signifikan pada taraf 5% setelah pemanfaatan android dalam pembelajaran. Namun, berdasarkan analisis deskriptif berupa ukuran pemusatan, hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari sebelumnya. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan agar guru secara konsisten menggunakan memanfaatkan teknologi berupa android dalam pembelajaran matematika, dan terus memperbaiki cara penerapan pembelajaran berbantuan teknologi di kelas.

Abstract

Pemodelan matematika merupakan jantung dari pemecahan matematis. Agar siswa mampu memecahkan masalah dengan baik, maka mereka harus mampu berpikir secara kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis korelasi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 35 orang siswa kelas VIII.9 SMPN 10 Palembang. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini  menggunakan tes tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai sig (0.021) < (0.05) dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.388. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa. Adapun kontribusi kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan pemodelan matematika adalah sebesar 15,1%.Mathematical modeling is the heart of mathematical problem solving. In order for students to be able to solve problems well, they need to be able to think critically.  This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between critical thinking skills and students' mathematical modeling abilities. This type of research is quantitative research with correlation analysis method. The sample used in this study were 35 students of class VIII.9 SMPN 10 Palembang. This research procedure consists of 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The data collection technique in this study used a written test. Based on the results of this study obtained the value of sig (0.021) < (0.05) with a correlation value of 0.388. Then it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between critical thinking skills and students' mathematical modeling abilities. The contribution of critical thinking skills to mathematical modeling abilities is 15.1%.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are still many prospective teacher students who still experience difficulties in solving addition and multiplication rules in combinatorics. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to find out the mistakes of prospective teacher students in solving addition and multiplication rules in combinatorics based on adversity quitient. The research subjects were student teacher candidates in the 3rd semester of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teaching and Education, Sriwijaya University. There are stages for this research including 1) preparation stage, 2) implementation stage, 3) final stage. Data collection was in the form of questionnaires and written tests. The results of the study were that student teacher candidates who had a Quitter type adversity quotient had 0 student teacher candidates with a percentage of 0%, Camper type adversity quotient had 58 student teacher candidates with a percentage of 82.86%, Climber type adversity quotient had 12 student teacher candidates with a percentage of 17 .14%. As well as prospective teacher students in the Adversity quotient category of the Climber type, they made 4 mistakes according to Newman's procedure, namely Comprehension Error, Transformation Error, Process Skill Error and Encoding Error. Student teacher candidates in the adversity quotient category of Camperr type made 5 mistakes according to Newman's procedure, namely Reading Errors, Comprehension Errors, Transformation Errors, Process Skill Errors and Encoding Errors.

Abstract

This study focused on developing student worksheet (SW) based on philosophy on the topic of matrix operations, including an overview of its effect on students' conceptual understanding abilities of grade XI at Senior High School (SMA in Bahasa) IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. It discussed how the student worksheet produced could be valid, practical, and had potential effects. The method used was development research consisting of preliminary, prototyping and assessment phase stages. This student worksheet consisted of the history of the matrix (ontology), matrix operation procedures (epistemology) and implementation of the matrix (axiology). The results showed that the validity of the student worksheet amounted to 84.1% with a valid category and could be used with minor revisions. The practicality score at the small group stage was 87.8% with a very practical category. Statistical results showed that there was an increase in the average score of a significant test result of 59.06. This showed that there was a positive effect from the use of philosophy-based SW on students' conceptual understanding. Based on these results, the philosophy-based student worksheet developed was categorized as valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding ability on matrix material.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to explain students' mathematical representation abilities in solving AKM numeracy questions after problem based learning is implemented, to explain the implementation of the problem based learning learning process and to explain students' responses to the problem based learning process. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 45 Palembang. The subjects of this study were class VIII students in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques used are tests, interviews, observations and questionnaires. Then the data were analyzed to get conclusions about the students' mathematical representation ability in solving the AKM numeracy questions after problem based learning was implemented, the implementation of the learning process and students' responses to the learning process with problem based learning. From the results obtained, it can be said that the mathematical representation ability of class VIII.2 students in solving AKM numeracy questions through problem based learning is good with all indicators of mathematical representation abilities appearing such as indicators of verbal representation, symbolic representation and visual representation. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berargumen peserta didik SMA kelas XII dalam pembuktian pada materi bangun ruang dimensi tiga dengan bantuan two-column proofs. Subjek penelitian ini peserta didik kelas XII MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pemali yang berjumlah 29 peserta didik. Pertemuan pertama sampai ketiga peserta didik diajarkan cara membuktikan dengan menggunakan two-column proofs. Data diperoleh dari tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 2 soal uraian yang sesuai dengan soal pembuktian dalam bangun ruang dimensi tiga. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 15 peserta didik sudah dapat memunculkan minimal 3 komponen. Peserta didik tersebut telah dapat membuktikan dengan menggunakan bantuan two-column proofs dan menuliskan pernyataan dengan benar. Peserta didik tersebut terlebih dahulu mengidentifikasi fakta-fakta yang ada, lalu mengembangkan argumentasi berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ada, lalu mengembangkan argumentasi berdasarkan fakta-fakta tersebut dengan menggunakan alasan yang valid, tetapi pada saat memberikan argumentasi untuk menunjukkan bukti, 14 orang peserta didik mengalami kendala dalam hal memahami konseptual dan prinsip, sehingga gagal memberikan argumentasi yang valid.
