Abstract

SMKS Indo Baruna Surabaya is a shipping vocational school that is famous in Surabaya, precisely on Jl. Rangkah VI No. 55-57, Rangkah, Tambaksari District, Surabaya City, East Java Province. This Vocational High School offers shipping/maritime majors with 2 choices of majors, namely Commercial Ship Nautics and Commercial Ship Engineering. This Community Partnership Program provides Basic Automation Training for 13 Commercial Ship Engineering students and 2 student companions, with the hope of helping add insight into industrial automation, especially shipping. The training was held for 4 meetings each for 4 hours, on 20-23 June 2022, 08.00-12.00 WIB. The materials given are: (1) PLC concept; (2) assembling the power supply, PLC, sensors, and actuators; (3) PLC logic function; (4) Ladder Diagrams; (5) read the output status; (6) save status; (7) the concept of sequential control; and (8) input sequential control. This training was carried out at the PLC Laboratory of the Dinamika University, with the practical method directly on the learning board. All students and student companions responded very well to the questionnaire given as activity feedback. Based on the responses and participation of students, it can be concluded that students are satisfied with the activities held and hope for further training. SMKS Indo Baruna Surabaya merupakan SMK pelayaran yang terkenal dan diminati di Kota Surabaya tepatnya berada di Jl. Rangkah VI No.55-57, Rangkah, Kecamatan Tambaksari, Kota Surabaya Provinsi Jawa Timur. SMKS ini menawarkan Jurusan pelayaran/kemaritiman dengan 2 pilihan kompetensi keahlian atau jurusan yaitu Nautika Kapal Niaga dan Teknika Kapal Niaga. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini memberikan Pelatihan Otomasi Dasar bagi 13 siswa Teknika Kapal Niaga dan 2 pendamping siswa, dengan harapan dapat membantu menambah wawasan terhadap otomasi industri khususnya perkapalan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan masing-masing selama 4 jam, pada tanggal tanggal 20-23 Juni 2022, pukul 08.00-12.00 WIB. Materi yang diberikan adalah: (1) konsep PLC; (2) merangkai catu daya, PLC, sensor, dan aktuator; (3) fungsi logika PLC; (4) Ladder Diagram; (5) membaca status output; (6) menyimpan status; (7) konsep kontrol sekuensial; dan (8) kontrol sekuensial input. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Dinamika, bertempat di Laboratorium PLC dengan metode praktik secara langsung pada papan peraga pembelajaran. Semua siswa dan pendamping siswa memberi respon sangat baik pada angket yang diberikan sebagai umpan balik kegiatan. Berdasarkan tanggapan dan partisipasi dari siswa dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa siswa merasa puas atas kegiatan yang diselenggarakan dan berharap akan adanya pelatihan lanjutan.

Abstract

The tourism sector has been growing rapidly along with the decline of COVID-19. This sector should pay attention to safety and security, which is by tracking the position of tourists. In this work, we propose a tourist positioning tracking system. A node containing a microcontroller with LoRa wireless communication called unknown node (UN) is assembled as a wearable device. We use the received signal strength indicator (RSSI)-based localization technique with an additional normalization method to correct the error rate in position estimation. This method estimates the distance between the anchor node (AN) and UN to approximate the actual distance value. Three-dimensional position tracking (longitude, latitude, altitude) of five UN surrounded by four AN was performed using the quadlateration method. The estimation process was carried out by the UN whereas receiving information is transmitted from the four AN. The communication between AN and UN used a scheduling algorithm on all AN. The position estimation error of the five UNs was measured using mean square error (MSE) yields 20.73 m, 50.32 m, 32.92 m, 21.40 m, and 16.89 m respectively. The accuracy of the estimated distance obtained by the proposed normalization quadlateration method is increased up to 15.22%.

Abstract

Vocation Senior Shcool students who are ready to penetrate industrial company must have hard skills. One of hard skills is being able to use the latest technology, especially network-based technology, namely Mikrotik. Mikrotik is a network devic that can perform as router or access point. With GUI-based application, learning Mikrotik was simple and easy to be applied. The purpose of this training is to equip students to be able to use Mikrotik independently on small-scale networks. This training was held four times, which was attended by 14 student participants and 2 teachers of SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. The training was held in a computer network laboratory, which consisted of 16 computers as hosts and 16 microphones. Each participant operates Mikrotik independently, guided by the trainer. Training questionnaires were distributed to all participants as an indicator of the success this training. The questionnaire contains training materials, trainer performance, training facilities and training atmosphere. Based on the numbers that have been processed, the average questionnaire rating is 56% strongly agree, 42% agree, and 2% disagree. The assessment of these numbers shows that this PKM activity received a good response from the training participants

Abstract

Surabaya is an urban area with limited land for farming, because there are many buildings. Farming requires a largearea and fertile soil. With the development of agricultural technology today, there is a new method of planting calledHydroponics. There are several types of hydroponic systems, namely Aeroponics (fog system) and Nutrient FilmTechnique (NFT). In this article, the writer uses NFT technique. NFT is a system that has a farming concept bychanneling nutrients to plant roots in a film or thin so that plants get food nutrients, namely water and oxygen. Theadvantage of using this NFT system is that it makes it easier to control plant nutrients and plant growth is fasterbecause plant roots are free to absorb nutrients to the maximum. From the results of the research conducted, the pHsetpoint value was 6.0. From the results of the research conducted, set point pH values of 6.4 and 5.8. From the testresults, the Ziegler Nichols method of type 1 for a setpoint of 6.4 gets a value of L=3 and T=22.44 and a setpoint valueof 5.8 gets a value of L = 3 and T = 23.76. After that, the setpoint 6.4 got the value of Kp = 8.976 Ki = 1.496 Kd =13,464 and the setpoint of 5.8 got the value of Kp = 9.504 Ki = 1.584 Kd = 14,256. 1. The setpoint value of 6.4overshoot is 8.37% rise time 20 s, and settling time is 45 s. The setpoint value of 5.8 overshoot is 6.89% rise time 25s, and settling time is 55 s.

Abstract

The widespread theft of storage warehouses, especially in rural areas, rarely supported by communication technology. A system was created to improve the security of storage warehouses with LoRa transmissions capable of sending data remotely. When there is an open warehouse door, this system will send the data to the warehouse owner's house with LoRa transmission in the form of open door information to detect theft early. The LoRa transmission test results in the early morning hours resulted in a success rate of 99.61% at a distance of 1.40 Km and a success percentage of 99.06% at a distance of 2.15 Km. The entire system has been tested at a distance of 1.4 Km, and the early morning hours resulted in a percentage success of 95.15%. An error occurred due to packet loss. As evidenced by the further distance of the test, the percentage of success will be reduced. Besides that, cellular connections around the testing area also affect. Where in the afternoon, cellular network traffic is denser compared to the early morning hours. As evidenced by the results of testing in the afternoon, there was a decrease in the percentage success by 5%. Overall, the security system created and tested resulted in the conclusion that the security system in this study had shown promising results.

Abstract

Wireless Personal Area Networks have battery powered, low data rate, and low cost, that have been researched invarious fields, like Xbee Pro S2C. It can build mesh network, consist of Coordinator, Router and End Device. Xbeecan perform point to point and multipoint communication. We evaluate delay performance and data loss for bothcommunication at indoor environment, to get Xbee’s successful transmission rate. This transmission sent themanipulated data and data from sensor finger clip by End Device Node as Tranmitter to Coordinator Node asReceiver. This data is sent with different interval time, 8ms for manipulated data and 500 ms for data finger clipsensor. Definition of Delay is the difference of difference of time between first data sent and first data received.From manipulated data measurement the delay of point to point is 1,17 seconds, whereas multipoint gets 1,332seconds. For delay data finger clip measurement of multipoint is 1,34 seconds. While data loss occur in multipointcommunication, for data finger clip measurement get the loss 53,33 % and 46,67% in random quartile of data, andfor manipulated data get 3,56 % loss.

Abstract

Perangkat Internet of Things (IoT) merupakan perangkat yang terkoneksi pada jaringan internet. Salah satu media transmisi yang low power berbasis IoT adalah LoRaWAN.  LoRaWAN mampu menerima data dari banyak user pada jarak jauh dan terkoneksi langsung dengan database server melalui internet.  Pada artikel ini, membahas mengenai monitoring posisi multi node pada jaringan LoRaWAN. Terdapat tiga node, direpresentasikan sebagai end node. LoRaWAN sebagai satu node server atau disebut LoRa Gateway. Pada node server terpasang aplikasi berbasis Graphic User Interface (GUI) yang dapat memantau posisi end node secara real time. Pengujian pada artikel ini, meliputi pengujian transmisi packet loss dari end node ke node server, dan pengujian aplikasi untuk memenuhi Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Hasil transmisi tiga node end ke LoRa Gateway berturut-turut adalah 6,04%, 1,13%, dan 1,9%.  Pengujian kelayakan aplikasi dari segi sudut pandang pengguna telah memenuhi standart HCI dengan nilai sangat setuju 61% dan setuju 50%.

Abstract

Milk pasteurization involves heating milk at a specific temperature below its boiling point as a method to keep the resulting dairy product retaining the shape and taste characteristics of fresh milk. In several experiments, the use of fuzzy control systems has been tested to regulate the temperature in the milk pasteurization process and to time the ignition of the stove flame. However, this fuzzy approach still causes the system to give an unstable response and irregular stove flame. In order to study milk pasteurization, the Low Temperature Long Time (LTLT) method is used which is implemented automatically through a PID control system. This method serves to maintain nutritional quality by keeping the pasteurization temperature at a setpoint of 62°C. This control involves the use of servo actuators and electric lighters that are automatically regulated with the help of flame sensors. The flame sensor detects the presence of flame and ensures that the flame remains lit throughout the pasteurization process. At the end of the process, the flame sensor plays a role in breaking the flame by setting a certain threshold. This sensor operates within 10 CM of the flame source and will produce an analog output with a maximum value of 4000 when the flame is lit. When the flame is extinguished, the analog output of the sensor will reach a value of 4095. Testing of the milk pasteurization automation system is given a value for each PID resulting from the value of Kp = 31.8, Ki = 115.6, Kd = 4.4 and obtained a rise time value of 0.39 minutes, 0.61%, settling min of 60.88, and settling max of 62.38.

Abstract

Saat ini, sebagian area sawah di suatu daerah memerlukan penerangan untuk memudahkan kegiatan petani pada malam atau pagi hari. Untuk meminimalkan kegiatan siang hari, petani juga bekerja di malam hari atau dini hari, misalnya untuk melindungi ladang dari tikus ladang yang berbahaya. Penelitian awal telah dibuat alat pemantau daya panel surya (solar panel) dengan basis Internet of Things, tetapi sensor arus tidak membantu arus DC dan tidak ada lampu penunjuk (indikator) untuk menyalakan lampu. Berdasarkan problem diatas, dirancang peralatan monitoring panel surya dengan basis Internet of Things sekaligus perhitungan arus dan daya DC serta penerangan sawah dengan indikator. Peralatan monitoring energi panel surya ini adalah panel surya untuk sumber pengganti, NodeMCU ESP32 bekerja sebagai sistem penerangan dan pemantauan, yang menerima masukan dari sensor tegangan yang berfungsi untuk mengatur tegangan, dan sensor arus mendeteksi arus yang masuk ke baterai. Analisis yang diperoleh dari penelitian adalah lampu DC dapat dihidupkan/dimatikan berdasarkan data sensor arus sensor dan tegangan yang berhasil digabungkan dengan akurasi 2.86% dan 36.97% dibanding dengan Avometer, dan monitoring menggunakan MQTT dapat diselesaikan dengan kecepatan transfer data yang berhasil sebesar 73.33%.
