Abstract

This research was aims to analyze the feasibility of paddy varieties Meraoke, Dyah Suci andCiliwung in paddy fields by using the Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C ratio) in the district of Merauke. Theresearch was conducted in Marga Mulya village Semangga District starts from September 2012 toJanuary 2013. The type of data in this research is the primary and secondary data. Data analysisperformed in this study is an analysis of the feasibility of farming by using the Revenue Cost Ratio(R/C ratio). Results of the analysis of the feasibility of using a proportion of farm receipts and cost(R/C ratio) with more than 1,5 criteria. Meraoke rice varieties with a variety of inorganic treatmentwith treatment eligibility level or value of the R/C ratio of 1.55 which is lower if compared with therice varieties of organic semi Meraoke treatment value of R/C ratio of 2.06 and the Dyah Sucitreatment of rice varieties inorganic value of R/C ratio obtained at 2.70 and varieties of organic semicommission of the Dyah Suci R/C ratio of 2.37 obtained rice varieties and inorganic treatmentCiliwung R/C ratio of 3.45 and obtained treatment Ciliwung organic semi R/C ratio obtained by 2.14.

Abstract

Merauke has a large potential for agricultural land with a type of agriculture that can be developed, namely a wetland farming system that is very suitable for paddy production. The objectives of this study are: a) to know the patterns of paddy farming, b) analyze the level of production from land tenure patterns, and c) analyze the level of economic efficiency of paddy farming in the pattern of paddy farmland ownership in Marga Mulya village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency. The study used 60 respondents as a source of data and information on primary research data. Data analysis method used to answer the research objectives is farming analysis and R/C ratio. The results of the study concluded that there are two patterns of rice farming land ownership, namely the pattern of ownership of private land and leased land. The two patterns of land ownership show that the pattern of ownership of private land has a higher production compared to the pattern of ownership of rent versus 2,785.71 kg/ha/season and 2,313 kg/ha/season with an efficiency level of 2.57% and 2.51%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how much the factors of education, capital, and dependents influence the role of mothers in improving the family economy in Wamanggu Market and analyze the dominant factors that influence the role of mothers in improving the family economy in Wamanggu Market. This research was conducted at the Wamanggu Merauke Market, for four (4) months, namely from August to December 2018. The population in this study were all vegetable sellers in the Wamanggu Merauke Market. The sampling technique was random sampling with 173 samples and a total population of 63 sellers, while data analysis was carried out with quantitative descriptive analysis method using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of multiple regression analysis show that the magnitude of the effect of education on income (Y): based on education (X1) affects income (Y) insignificantly by 0.044 or 4.4%, based on capital (X2) affects income (Y) significantly by 0.919 or 91.9%, based on dependents (X3) affect income (Y) not significantly by 0.005 or 5%. The dominant factor that influences the decision of mothers in improving the family economy is the capital factor (X2) which is equal to 0.919 or 91.9%. Abstract

The purpose of this study is how much profit rate from the business of roasted and boiled sweet corn and whether the business of roasted and boiled sweet corn is feasible. This research was conducted in Marga Mulya Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency. Samples of 10 businesses of sweet and roasted sweet corn industry. Data analysis uses cost analysis, revenue, revenue, profitability and business feasibility. The results show a profit level of Rp.5,241,279 / month, so that the roasted and boiled sweet corn business is profitable. Analysis of the R / C feasibility level of 1,360, NPV (Net Present Value) has a value greater than zero, which is Rp. 190,832,954.2 and the Net B / C value ratio (Benefit Cost Ratio) obtained is equal to (1.52) years, so that the business of roasted sweet corn and stew is feasible to be undertaken. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors consumer behaviour towards the purchase of chicken meat cut into traditional and modern markets on the market on the level of consumer households are there in the District of Merauke. This research was carried out in the District of Merauke for three (3) months, i.e. from April 2015 until June 2015. The basic method used in this research is descriptive method. Site selection research was done deliberately i.e. in the District of Merauke. Location of study housed in 8 subdistricts in Merauke District. The number of samples in this research is the 44 respondents. The type of the data being used is the primary data and secondary data obtained through the techniques of observation, and interviews. The analysis used was chi square analysis. The results showed that of the 44 respondents that influence consumer behavior in purchasing chicken pieces on traditional markets and modern market on the level of consumer households which is that decisions in the purchase of chicken pieces (Y) based on the type of work (X1) 0.035 is, income level (X1) is of the number of dependents, 0.128 family (X3) is based on the type, and 0757 jobs (X1) is of 0.001. And from the results of data processing carned showing that the decision in buying of chicken influential positive and significant is variable income (X2) was in 0,128 and variable namber of dependents (X3) was in 0,757.

Abstract

Wanita nelayan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kegiatan ekonomi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup keluarga dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan rumah tangga nelayan . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan sistem pembagian kerja wanita sebagai istri/wanita nelayan dan laki-laki sebagai suami/nelayan dalam aktifitas ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan di Pantai Lampu Satu, Merauke; 2) dan menganalisis tingkat kontribusi wanita nelayan berkontribusi pada pendapatan rumah tangga nelayan di Lampu Satu, Merauke. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis data menggunakan metode analisis data kualitatif deskriptif.  Penelitian dilakukan di pesisir Pantai Lampu Satu, Kabupaten Merauke, Papua Selatan, Indonesia dengan sampel penelitian  30 responden dari 156 total populasi wanita nelayan yang ditarik dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis pendapatan rumah tangga nelayan dan analisis kontribusi wanita nelayan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manfaat langsung dari pengelolaan sumberdaya pesisir oleh wanita nelayan yaitu dari sumberdaya perikanan sebagai sumber pendapatan keluarga. Beberapa jenis ikan yang ditangkap oleh wanita nelayan yaitu seperti ikan pelagis kecil, kerang, tempurung bambu, udang jerbung (udang putih), dan kepiting bakau . Wanita nelayan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pendapatan keluarga nelayan sebesar 45,4% atau dengan kategori sedang atau setara dengan Rp4.647.500/orang/bulan. Masih ada potensi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan wanita nelayan dengan mengolah hasil perikanan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk. Title: The Role of Fisherwomen in the Household Economy at Lampu Satu Beach, MeraukeFisher women have an important role in increasing economic activities to meet the needs of family life and improve the welfare of fishing households. This study aims to 1) describes the system of division of labor between women as wives/fisherwomen and men as husbands/fishers in the economic activities of fishers’ households at Lampu Satu Beach, Merauke; 2) and analyze the level of contribution of fisherwomen to household income of fishermen in Lampu Satu, Merauke. The research approach used is qualitative research with data analysis methods using descriptive qualitative data analysis methods. The research was conducted on the coast of Lampu Satu Beach, Merauke Regency, South Papua, Indonesia with a research sample of 30 respondents from the total population of 156 female fishers drawn using the purposive sampling method.. Data were analyzed using fishers’s household income analysis and fisher women’s contribution analysis. The results of the study show that the direct benefits of coastal resource management by fisherwomen are fishery resources as a source of family income. Several types of fish caught by fisherwomen include small pelagic fish, clams, bamboo shells, shrimp jerbung (white shrimp), and mangrove crabs. Fisher women contribute to the income of fishing families by 45.4% or in the medium category or equivalent to Idr4,647,500/person/month. There is still potential to increase the income of fisherwomen by processing fishery products to increase the added value of the product.

Abstract

Local food which can be utilized as a source of carbohydrates is gembili (Dioscorea esculenta). The farming system of gembili stil in tradisonial way and not for the profit oriented. Meanwhile the nutrition of gembili almost the same as other carbohydrates such as rice or sweet potatoes. The purpose of this research is to analyze cost and benefit of gembili cultivation and processing of gembili become donut and cake gembili. The methodology using Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) and Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio). This research was conducted in December 2017 to January 2018 in Kampung Yanggandur District Sota Merauke Regency. Sampling technique used Snowball Sampling. The samples are 7 respondents. The results showed that the cost of farming cultivation gembili is Rp44.871.140, -, while the benefit is Rp86.225.040, - The profit gain as Rp41.353.900,-. The B/C Ratio is 1,92. Gembili procesing become cake gembili more profitable than donut gembili. The cost of donut gembili is Rp5.582.000/month, while the cake gembili is Rp4.804.000/month. The revenue of donut gembili is Rp7.200.000/monthwhile the renenue of cake gembili is Rp15.000.000,00/month. The R/C Ratio of donut gembili is 0.53 while cake gembili is 1,69 means both of gembili processing become donut dand cake gembili is feasible to developed. Abstract

Merauke Regency is a relatively large agricultural area that has not been widely used so that the potential for the growth and development of cassava plants. Besides cassava has many benefits both for daily needs to be used as a raw material for many processed products. This study aims to determine the potential of the base area and the characteristics of the spread of cassava commodities in Merauke Regency. The study was conducted in 13 districts (districts). This type of research is descriptive research. This research uses purposive sampling. Analysis of the data used is Location Quotient (LQ), localization coefficient and specialization analysis. Cassava commodity base districts with harvest area indicators are Sota, Ulilin, Animha, Jagebob, Kimaam, Okaba, Elikobel, Naukenjerai and Merauke Districts. Cassava commodity base districts with indicators of total production are Sota, Ulilin, Jagebob, Kimaam, Animha, Elikobel, Okaba and Naukenjerai Districts. The characteristics of the distribution of cassava commodity farming activities with a positive localization coefficient value is 0.5966 and there are six districts that have a positive localization coefficient each year, namely the Districts of Kimaam, Okaba, Naukenjerai, Jagebob, Sota and Elikobel. Districts that have positive specialization coefficient values ​​specialize one of their agricultural activities in cassava commodities with an average value of specialization coefficient of more than one, namely 1.3088 and an increase in the value of specialization coefficient each year.
