Abstract

The fashion emergence is a trend that is closely related to generation Z. The easy access to social media is one of the most effective diffusion modes of fashion trends. In addition, there are marketing techniques used by business actors to spread products by involving figures that are loved by generation Z, such as politicians, celebrities, artists, and other public figures. These figures involvement is able to attract the followers to follow the trend. The reason is that following trends can show one’s identity and increase self-confidence, it cannot be avoided by looking at the ways of fashion fans in Generation Z. Fashion trends that continue to roll quickly make them have consumptive behavior. This behavior must be taken seriously considering the waste impact generated from production can be a big problem for the environment

Abstract

The culinary movement is currently undergoing interesting developments: initially, food was a basic requirement for energy and the food consumed was usually processed from nature. Consequently, processed food often characterized the identity of specific tribes, cultures, and regions. In the modern era, food has a long history (for example, the French Revolution), with ethics and rules. This shows that modern food culture is structured and even classifies social classes. Originally, food in the modern era had a concept adapted from the serving of food in palaces, with order and layout. However, this modern presentation of food was rejected by cooks who served food in different ways. For example, enjoying meals at a high altitude and serving food with unusual artistry. With this resistance to the European-style presentation of many luxury restaurants in Indonesia, this post-modernist restaurant can attract customers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection technique is conducted through visual observation via social media. The findings reveal that the flow of post-modernism and post-structuralism has influenced the way food is served in several Indonesian restaurants. The full results and discussion are presented herein.

Abstract

Background: Ureteroscopy is a preferred treatment for proximal ureteral stones, resulting in higher stone-free rates and lower re-treatment rates compared to shock wave lithotripsy. Flexible ureteroscopy is particularly beneficial for proximal ureteral stones, facilitating easier insertion and improving stone clearance. Methods: This systematic review focused on full-text articles published in English between 2014 and 2024, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines to ensure methodological rigor. Result: The initial search yielded over 900 publications from these databases. After a detailed screening process, eight studies were selected for further in-depth review. This thorough examination of the chosen studies ensured a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of the existing literature. Conclusion: The study found no significant differences in complication rates between delayed ureteroscopy (D-URS) and primary ureteroscopy (P-URS) in terms of intraoperative or postoperative outcomes. Both groups showed similar operational times, postoperative stenting, stone-free rates, and complication rates, supporting guidelines from NICE for surgical treatment within 48 hours.

Abstract

Introduction: Over recent decades, blood transfusion practices have significantly evolved, particularly in trauma care, surgery, obstetrics, and intensive care settings. This systematic review explores the relationship between blood warming, pressure, and hemolysis, aiming to provide evidence-based guidelines for safe transfusion practices. Methods: This systematic review follows PRISMA 2020 guidelines. We include studies from 2004 to 2024, focusing on hemolysis rates related to blood warming, transfusion outcomes, and safety thresholds for warming temperatures and pressures. A search across PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Sagepub yielded studies meeting these criteria. Data extraction focused on study characteristics, warming techniques, hemolysis rates, and outcomes. Results: Most studies indicated that blood warmers effectively raise temperatures without significantly increasing hemolysis under controlled conditions. However, higher flow rates and temperatures above 37°C increase the risk of hemolysis. While current blood warming devices are generally safe, there is variability in their performance based on flow rates and clinical settings. Conclusion: Blood warming devices are effective tools for preventing hypothermia during transfusions but must be carefully used to avoid hemolysis. Further research is needed to optimize protocols for different clinical contexts and patient populations to ensure safe and effective transfusions

Abstract

The competency of vocational high school students is still said to be lacking in work readiness. This is caused by a lack of encouragement for oneself, family, school facilities, school environment, etc. This research aims to analyze the mediating role of work motivation in determining vocational school students' work readiness. This research uses an ex-post facto quantitative approach with the path analysis method. Research subjects in 3 vocational schools in machining engineering expertise in class XII with a total sample of 193 people. Data collection uses questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Hypothesis testing in this study used SmartPLS 3 software. The findings show that work competency and industrial work practice experience can influence work motivation. Work motivation can directly influence students' work readiness. Indirectly, work competency affects work motivation through work readiness. Indirectly, industrial work practice experience affects work motivation through work readiness. It was concluded that work motivation plays a role in determining vocational school students' work readiness, especially in class XII machining engineering, followed by work competency and industrial work practice experience. So it is recommended to the vocational school community always to be motivated so that students are ready to work, have sufficient competence and experience, and always pay attention to the 3 things researchers discovered and discussed because vocational schools aim to work, continue, and become self-employed.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is essential in machining engineering lessons at vocational schools because students often carry out practices involving many complex and sharp objects. This research aims to analyze occupational safety and health implementation in machining practical learning. This research uses an ex-post facto quantitative approach—research subjects in class XI machining engineering in four vocational schools with a sample of 172 people. Data collection uses surveys, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research is regression analysis. The findings show first, there is a significant influence between the application of K3 on learning machining practices. Second, the analysis results of the impact of the application of K3 on learning machining practices are in the weak category. Third, the results of the synthesis and evaluation show that there are four reasons or factors that influence the inadequate implementation of K3 in learning machining practices, including the lack of student knowledge about K3, the lack of school facilities related to K3, the lack of student perception regarding the importance of K3, and the lack of student behavior regarding K3 (motivation, discipline, honesty). This research concludes that applying K3 in learning machining practices is the task of stakeholders and every individual because health and safety at work are some of the supporting aspects towards success.

Abstract

The issue of data imbalance in image classification often hinders deep learning models from making accurate predictions, especially for minority classes. This study introduces AugOS-CNN (Augmentation and Over Sampling with CNN), a novel approach that combines oversampling and data augmentation techniques to address data imbalance. The The Simpsons Characters dataset is used in this study, featuring five main character classes: Bart, Homer, Agnes, Carl, and Apu. The number of samples in each class is balanced to 2,067 using an augmentation method based on Augmentor. The proposed model integrates oversampling and augmentation steps with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture to improve classification accuracy. Evaluation results show that the AugOS-CNN model achieves the highest accuracy of 96%, outperforming the baseline CNN approach without data balancing techniques, which only reaches 91%. These findings demonstrate that the AugOS-CNN model effectively enhances image classification performance on datasets with imbalanced class distributions, contributing to the development of more robust deep learning methods for addressing data imbalance issues.
