Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dimodifikasi pada materi laju reaksi telah sesuai dengan standar kelayakan BSNP, dan mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi laju reaksi lebih tinggi dari nilai KKM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate) yang menghasilkan suatu produk yang dimodifikasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket validasi media dan tes kognitif siswa. Data kelayakan media dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan data hasil belajar dianalisis secara statistik. Modifikasi yang dimaksud disini yakni memodifikasi media pembelajaran berbasis android menjadi lebih menarik dengan menambahkan animasi untuk memvisualkan materi teori tumbukan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dimodifikasi pada materi laju reaksi dinyatakan sangat layak dengan nilai rata-rata ahli materi 3,80; ahli media 3,64; dan praktisi pembelajaran 3,73. Hasil uji coba media menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android lebih tinggi dari nilai KKM yakni 87,65 dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of the HKSA and Docking analysis was to determine the potential of curcumin analogues as antioxidants for the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme. Predictor calculations were carried out using the hyperchem application with the CNDO semi-empirical geometric optimization method Multilinear regression analysis using SPSS to find the relationship between predictors and the activity of curcumin analogue derivative compounds as tyrosinase inhibitors. The best HKSA equation model is : LogIC50  : -3.195 – (1.135 x HOMO) + (1.064 x LUMO) - (0.239 x LogP) + (0.155 x HE) With a value of R = 0,984; R­2 = 0,969; Adj R2 = 0,948; SE = 0,183; F count  = 10,209; Sign = 0,000. This equation is used to predict new compounds derived from curcumin analogs that can be used as new tyrosinase inhibitors. The parameters for selecting this compound were because it had better activity and LogIC50 values compared to the parent compound. To see the affinity between the new curcumin analogue derivative compound and the tyrosinase enzyme, docking was carried out using Autodock Tools, which was visualized using Biovia discovery studio. The docking results show that the compound 2,5-bis (4-hydroxy 3-allyl benzylidene) cyclopentanone has potential inhibitory activity on the tyrosinase receptor as an antioxidant activity because it has the same amino acid residue as the original ligand (Tyrosine) with the binding energy of the compound 2,5- bis (4-hydroxy 3-allylbenzylidene) cyclopentanone is -5.92 kcal/mol and the Ki value is 46.03 uM, which is better than the binding energy of the compound (Tyrosine) which is -4.96 kcal/mol and the Ki value is 231.77 uM.Keywords: Curcumin, Tyrosinase, Antioxidant, QSAR, Docking DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13i2.30560

Abstract

The simargaolgaol plant (Aglaonema modestum Schott ex Engl) is one of the plants that grow wild in the Barus forest area of Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra which is used by local people as a traditional medicinal plant. This study aims to determine the toxicity properties by BSLT method, antibacterial activity by disc diffusion method and antioxidant activity by DPPH method. Toxicity test results of simargaolgaol stem extract (Aglaonema modestum Schott ex Engl) against Artemia salina Leach larvae showed that n-hexane extract has toxic properties with an LC50 value of 24.424 ppm (toxic category), ethyl acetate extract with an LC50 value of 40,693 ppm (toxic category) and ethanol extract with an LC50 value of 25,830 ppm (toxic category). The results of antibacterial activity showed that ethyl acetate extract (semipolar) with a concentration of 10% had the greatest antibacterial potential against Escherichia coli bacteria with an inhibition zone of about 14.3 mm (strong category). The results of antioxidant activity of ethanol extract of simargaolgaol stems have an IC50 value of 28.075 ppm and Vitamin C has an IC50 value of 36.867 ppm. Thus, based on the results of the IC50 value, it can be seen that the ethanol extract of simargaolgaol stems has strong antioxidant activity compared to Vitamin C as a comparison.

Abstract

This research aims to isolate compounds from extracts of coffee parasite flowers (Loranthus ferrugineus Roxb.) and determine their toxicity activity using the BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) method. The results of the identification of secondary metabolite compounds show that the coffee parasite flower extract contains alkaloids, saponins, tannins and flavonoids. The results of the toxicity activity of the coffee parasite flower extract using the BSLT method show that the extract has high bioactivity and has an LC50 value of 93.4266 µg/mL. Meanwhile, isolation of flavonoid compounds from coffee parasite flower extract (Loranthus ferrugineus Roxb.) based on infrared spectroscopy (IR) analysis showed the presence of vibrations of the O-H, С-Н, С-О, C-C, and C-O groups which indicated the presence of flavonoid group compounds.

Abstract

These misconceptions can occur due to students' low understanding of basic mathematics which is sustainable in the previous school. This study aims to determine the percentage of students' misconception level through the Three-Tier test instrument on the mole concept material of class X at SMAN 18 Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out by conducting interviews and observations to teachers and distributing written tests in the form of three-tier diagnostic tests consisting of 25 multiple choice questions. The data that has been obtained shows that there are misconceptions in class X students in the material of mole concept. The results of this study showed that Class X students of SMA NEGERI 18 MEDAN had 53.41% misconceptions, 34.94% understood the concept, and 11.65% didn’t understand the concept.

Abstract

Cholesterol in the body is divided into three parts, namely Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Triglycerides. Excessive cholesterol in the blood can cause hypercholesterolemia. The Simargaolgaol plant (Aglaonema modestum Schott ex Engl) is one of the plants that people use as traditional medicine to cure various types of diseases. This study aims to analyze the effect of administering simargaolgaol leaf extract on reducing cholesterol levels in male Wistar rats fed a high-fat diet. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 groups, namely K0+ (Normal Group), K0- (Negative Control), K+ (Positive Control given simvastatin), varying doses 100 mg/KgBW, 200 mg/KgBW, 300mg/KgBW. The data obtained was analyzed using One way Anova statistical analysis with SPSS for Windows software. The data that has been analyzed has a significant value of p<0.05, which means that administration of ethanol extract of simargaolgaol leaves (Aglaonema modestum Schott ex Engl) shows an effect on reducing cholesterol in the blood. The conclusion of this research is that the ethanol extract of simargaolgaol (Aglaonema modestum Schott ex Engl) leaves has anti-cholesterol activity at a minimum dose of 300 mg/KgBW.

Abstract

Desa Tanjung Rejo memiliki Hutan Mangrove (bakau) yang cukup luas. Salah satu tanaman bakau yang terkenal adalah adalah bakau merah (Rhizopora stylosa). Ekstrak bakau merah menunjukkan efek antioksidan, antibakteri, antikanker, dan antidiabetes, serta aktivitas sitotoksik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang cara pembuatan kopi mangrove, sebagai upaya dalam mengoptimalkan potensi lokal yang ada di desa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan tentang kandungan dan metode pembuatan kopi mangrove. Adapun hasil kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan kopi mangrove ini, 93 % peserta mengatakan bahwa kegiatan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Seluruh peserta (100%) berniat untuk untuk mengembangkan usaha dibidang kuliner dan 93% darinya memperkirakan kopi mangrove dapat meningkatkan usaha kuliner di wilayah wisata mangrove Desa Tanjung Rejo.

Abstract

This study aim is to know the results of the synthesis of silver nanoparticles from quercetin and Scurrula ferruginea (Roxb. Ex Jack) danser as well as its potential as an antioxidant and anticancer. The solvent used in the maceration extraction method in this research is the polar solvent methanol. Isolation and purification of thick extract compounds from coffee parasite leaves were carried out using liquid vacuum chromatography (CVC) and gravity column chromatography (GCC) methods. Silver (Ag) nanoparticle is made with the stirrer method at a speed of 1500 rpm for 60 minutes at a temperature of 70o C. Silver nanoparticle solution was produced and then characterized using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) and PSA (Particles Size Analyzer). PSA results analysis using extract coffee parasite size 214 nm particles, whereas using flavonoid isolate quercetin confirmed size 29 nm. FTIR showed that there was a stretching vibration of the OH group at a wave number of 3229.25 cm-1, the C=O function at the wave number 1637.87 cm-1, and the CO functional group at the wave number 1016.31 cm-1. Antioxidant test using the DPPH method was carried out in silver nanoparticle solution using extract Scurrula ferruginea (Roxb. Ex Jack) danser and with quercetin obtained an IC50 value of around 115.4 and 114.9 this result describes as moderate level of antioxidants. Even though the nanoparticle anticancer test was very weak, overall, the synthesis of silver nanoparticles using flavonoid isolates was better than using extracts from coffee parasite leaves.
