Abstract

This study aims to develop a physics test instrument based on the conceptual knowledge dimension of Revised Bloom's Taxonomy on the topic of General Physics that meets the eligibility criteria of a good test instrument, including validity, reliability, level of difficulty, distinguishing power and effectiveness of fraud. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with the implementation stages of determining the objectives and indicators of test instruments, compilation of lattices and items, feasibility testing, revision and refinement of test instruments. The data of this study were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by trying out the physics test instruments developed in the form of 30 multiple choice tests. Based on the results of qualitative analysis of the content validation aspect, the average rating obtained by the validator is 75.6%, meaning that the test is valid with minor revisions. Judging from the results of the quantitative analysis 20 items were obtained valid with reliability in the very high category, and the level of difficulty in the difficult to easy category, while in the aspect of distinguishing 12 items were in the good category, and 8 questions were in the excellent category and viewed from aspects of deception effectiveness obtained 20 items effective so that it can be concluded, as many as 20 items were accepted and declared worthy to be used to train and measure students' conceptual knowledge on the topic of General Physics

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan Keterampilan Proces Sains (KPS) siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan pembelajaran konvensional mengenai materi pokok elastisitas dan hukum Hooke di SMA. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain two groups pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan observasi aktivitas KPS siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan KPS yang signifikan antara penerapan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional dengan nilai sig. 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain Score dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training lebih tinggi dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa sebesar 0,70 dalam kategori tinggi dibandingkan KPS siswa dengan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 0,59 dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains; model pembelajaran inquiry training. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in Science Proses Skills (SPS) of students using inquiry training learning model and conventional learning about the subject matter of elasticity and Hooke’s law in High School. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with two groups of pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is all students of class XI MIPA in Public Senior High School 5 Medan. The sample was taken by a purposive sampling technique that consists of two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group. The data collected technique has been done by tests and observations activities SPS student. The data in this research was analyzed a hypothesis-testing t-test. The results showed significant differences in SPS between the application of using inquiry training learning models compared to conventional learning with the value of sig. was 0.000 at the significance of level 0.05. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score test with the application of the inquiry training learning model is higher in increasing SPS of the students by 0.70 in the high category compared to SPS of students with the application of conventional learning by 0.59 in the medium category. Keywords: science process skills; inquiry training learning model.

Abstract

Creativity is an important part of improving learning achievement and readiness to face the globalization era which requires innovation. The success of learning creativity can be assessed through an appropriate holistic assessment instrument that contains indicators of creative thinking. Based on that, the purpose of this study is to describe the development of creativity assessment instruments that have been carried out by previous researchers through journal literature sources. The research method uses a systematic literature review of 13 selected articles that meet the criteria for achieving the research objectives. From the analysis of the literature review, conclusions are drawn, 1) Creative thinking instruments have been developed through the 4D research model, ADDIE and Borg & Gall with their respective stages, 2) Aspects of creative thinking used in developing tests refer to Torrance's theory (fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration). 3) In the technique of making a creative thinking item that refers to Torrance's theory, these four indicators must simultaneously form the basis for making questions. This means that through one creative thinking question can measuring fluency, flexibility, originality, and detail of the answers given by the test takers, 4) Testing the feasibility of creative thinking instruments includes validity, reliability, practicality, effectiveness, and item analysis (distinguishing power and level of difficulty).

Abstract

Thermodynamics is an abstract concept making it difficult for physics and chemistry undergraduate student to understand it. The purpose of this research is to know the level understanding of the fundamental concepts of thermodynamics so that lecturers can develop strategies to teach thermodynamics appropriately. An exploratory small-scale study was conducted on students majoring in physics and chemistry to evaluate an understanding of heat, temperature, energy, work, thermodynamic processes and the first law of thermodynamics. The research sample consisted of 20 undergraduate students who were randomly selected from two majors, namely physics and chemistry. Data were collected through a diagnostic test to determine the level understanding of students' concepts which consisted of 20 questions. In addition, interviews were conducted with those of 20 students related to given questions. The results showed that the level of students' conceptual understanding of the concept of thermodynamics was still low. The main reasons that cause students have problems in understanding thermodynamic concepts are the concept of thermodynamics is an abstract physics concept and the matters of thermodynamics are lack in explanation and interpretation of phenomena and not linking them to daily life

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi salah satu strategi untuk mengatasi masalah keberagaman siswa agar dapat belajar sesuai kesiapan, minat dan gaya belajar sehingga memperoleh hasil belajar yang lebih maksimal. Dalam praktiknya, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi belum banyak dilakukan khususnya pada materi IPA. Oleh karena itu, tujuan tinjauan literatur ini untuk menguraikan tahapan model yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi serta menganalisis pengaruhnya pada pembelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian menggunakan tinjauan literatur sistematis (Systematic Literature Review) dengan teknik PRISMA dari sumber literatur berupa artikel penelitian yang sudah dipublikasi mulai tahun 2017-2022 sebanyak 11 artikel. Berdasarkan kajian literatur diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran yang telah digunakan untuk mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi IPA adalah Problem Based Learning, Differentiated Science Inquiry (DSI), Blended Learning’s Station Rotation, Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi dengan teori Triarchic, Direct Instructional (model pembelajaran langsung) dan model khusus dengan instruksi berdiferensiasi berbasis SETS. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi melalui model-model terpilih ini memberikan pengaruh positif pada hasil belajar, proses pembelajaran, motivasi, keaktifan dan keterlibatan siswa, literasi sains serta keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa (berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif).Keywords: Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi, Pendidikan IPA, Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis
