Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan lirik lagu tentang  pelajaran matematika pada materi bentuk aljabar di kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R and D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari empat langkah yaitu: Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. Subjek  penelitian terdiri dari 30 orang peserta didik kelas VII.3 MTs Negeri Tanjungpinang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah validasi ahli, dan angket yang dilakukan oleh validator dan subjek uji coba peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Method  of Summated Ratings (MSR), kemudian dihitung persentase perolehannya untuk mendapatkan katagori kevalidan dan kepraktisan.  Hasil penelitian berdasarkan penilaian dari dua orang validator, dimana dari validator pertama diperoleh persentase 82,05% dan validator kedua memperoleh persentase 86,63 %. Secara keseluruhan diperoleh rata-rata persentase skor 85,82% yaitu berada pada katagori sangat valid. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase skor 83,56% dengan katagori praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa lirik lagu sebagai media pembelajaran berada dalam kriteria sangat valid dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran khususnya pada materi bentuk aljabar.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat keterampilan berkomunikasi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH) pada mata kuliah Micro Teaching. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Matematika UMRAH angkatan 2017 yang mengambil mata kuliah Micro Teaching pada rombel 6A1 dan 6B2 yang berjumlah 26 orang. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penilaian adalah video pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa. Ada 2 tipe video pembelajaran yang dibuat, yaitu: pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom, dan pembelajaran tatap muka secara langsung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi terhadap video pembelajaran mahasiswa tersebut. Setelah data hasil observasi didapatkan, selanjutnya data tersebut diolah untuk melihat persentase yang didapatkan oleh mahasiswa di setiap indikatornya. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi keterampilan berkomunikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 8 mahasiswa memperoleh kriteria baik, 5 mahasiswa memperoleh kriteria cukup dan 3 mahasiswa memperoleh kriteria kurang.

Abstract

The Jong Sailboat is a traditional game of the Riau islands' Malay culture. This game developed in various areas whose territories have beaches. In the Jong Sailboat game, mathematical elements can be explored, especially in the Jong Sailboat's shape. Mathematical practice in culture is known as ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics studies can be obtained through exploration, exploring the field to get more knowledge from a situation. Through Jong Sailboat's exploration, mathematical concepts and elements are found in it. So this research aims to explore ethnomathematics in the shape of a Jong Sailboat as a traditional game in the Riau Islands. This type of study is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this study were makers of traditional game crafters and the shape of the Jong Sailboat. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation, with the main instrument of study, are the researchers themselves. The data is then analyzed by referring to Miles and Huberman's design by reducing data, presenting data, and conclusions/verification. The results found a mathematical practice in geometrical shapes in triangles, rectangles, and mathematical concepts in the way of translations, acute angles, right angles, trigonometry, straight lines, and slope. This exploration can enrich ethnomathematics science, which is also found in the form of Jong Sailboats.

Abstract

Abstrak: Generasi pada era teknologi industri 5.0 diharuskan untuk mempunyai kemampuan dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi yang dikenal dengan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Konsep Kurikulum 2013 mengakomodir pengembangan HOTS tersebut, baik dalam pembelajaran maupun dari segi penilaian hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu, sudah semestinya guru mampu mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS dan membiasakan siswa menyelesaikannya. Namun, kondisi saat ini menunjukkan bahwa belum optimalnya pemahaman yang dimiliki guru tentang bagaimana cara mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada guru tentang hakekat HOTS dan cara mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS dalam bidang matematika. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan di SMP Negeri 7 Tanjungpinang dan dihadiri 38 orang guru yang juga merupakan anggota MGMP Matematika SMP Kota Tanjungpinang. Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi; (1) Pemantapan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep soal kategori HOTS, karakteristik dan fungsi soal kategori HOTS; (2) Pembimbingan peserta dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS; dan (3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan angket. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa target PKM tercapai dengan baik yaitu terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap pengembangan soal kategori HOTS. Lebih lanjut, setelah mengikuti pelatihan peserta mengaku lebih termotivasi untuk mengembangkan soal kategori HOTS pada materi pelajaran matematika SMP.Abstract: Generations in the era of industrial technology 5.0 are required to have higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The 2013 curriculum requires the existence of HOTS both in the implementation of learning activities and the assessment of learning outcomes. Teachers must be able to create and develop HOTS questions. There are still many teachers who do not have a good understanding on how to develop HOTS category questions. This service aims to provide teachers with an understanding of the nature of HOTS and the development of HOTS category questions in the field of mathematics. This activity was held in Tanjungpinang 7th Public Middle School and was attended by 38 MGMP Mathematics Teachers of Tanjungpinang Middle School. The series of activities namely; (1) Strengthening participants' understanding of the nature of HOTS category questions, its characteristics and function of HOTS category questions; (2) Guiding participants in compiling and developing HOTS category questions; and (3) Evaluation of the implementation of activities using a questionnaire instrument. The results show that there was an increase in teacher understanding of the development of HOTS category questions. Furthermore, the participants claimed to be more motivated to develop HOTS category questions mathematics subject for junior high school.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media by using construct 2 to the material of relations and functions. The type of research is research and development with the 4D model were define, design, development, and disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII F Junior High School 3 Bintan amounting to 32 people in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research data was collected by using a validation technique involving 2 expert validators, each material expert and media expert, also collected by a questionnaire responding from educators and students. The research instrument consisted of validation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The research data were analyzed by changing ordinal data into interval data with the rating scale technique. The percentage of acquisition is calculated to get the category of validity and practicality. The results of this study based on the validation of material experts obtained 88.23% are in very valid criteria and validation of media experts obtained 83.33% are in very valid criteria. The response by students obtained 88.84% are in very practical criteria and from educators obtained 91.67% are in very practical criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find mathematical activities in the Daik Lingga culture. This research focuses on the ethnomatematic exploration of the traditional Malay food of Daik Lingga which can be used as a source of learning mathematics. Daik's traditional food is generally made from sago. This research is a qualitative type and uses an ethnographic approach. The data collection technique was carried out by interviewing related sources and documentation. The data analysis technique was based on the design of Miles and Huberman by reducing data, presenting data, and concluding/ verification. Based on the results of data collection, there are several mathematical elements in the traditional Malay food of Daik Lingga. The mathematical elements contained include shapes (circles and right triangles), space shapes (cones), folding symmetry, reflection, rotation, acute angles, right angles, and parallel lines. Therefore, Daik Lingga's traditional food can be used as a source of interesting mathematics learning for students so that learning becomes meaningful.

Abstract

The heterogeneity of mathematics education students is a challenge for lecturers and students at the same level who want to research because of the many characteristics. Creativity is not only intended for people with high mathematical abilities but also for everyone. The study was conducted online due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the level of creative thinking of students in solving math problems online and to describe the activity of online classes. The research subjects studied were students of the 6th semester 6th semester mathematics education research methodology (metopen) at Raja Ali Haji Maritime University, totaling 23 people. The data analysis technique in this study uses the methods proposed by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusions. Data collection is done by providing problem solving questions to all subjects online. The results of the study on the average creative thinking level of the 23 people were quite creative and active.

Abstract

AbstrakPencapaian prestasi matematika siswa di Indonesia masih rendah, terlihat dari hasil studi PISA pada tahun 2015. Salah satu faktornya dikarenakan siswa kurang terlatih menyelesaikan soal berkarakteristik seperti soal PISA. Dibutuhkan suatu pengembangan soal yang mampu memberi ruang pada siswa untuk melatih kemampuan literasi matematis yang salah satunya yaitu kemampuan literasi statistika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan soal statistika model PISA yang berkualitas untuk melatih kemampuan literasi statistika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development dengan Model 4D (Four D). Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII (8) B SMP Negeri 1 Bintan tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu instrumen untuk mengukur kevalidan soal dan lembar hasil uji coba. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data hasil validasi soal dan hasil uji coba. Penelitian ini menghasilkan tujuh (7) butir soal yang berkualitas yaitu valid, reliabel, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran yang baik. Soal ini mampu menarik minat, memotivasi dan memberikan stimulus kepada subjek uji coba untuk memunculkan kemampuan literasi statistika siswa. Development of the Statistical Test Instrument PISA Model for practicing students' statistical literacy skillsAbstractThe achievement of the mathematics achievement of students in Indonesia is still low, it can be seen from the results of the PISA study in 2015. One of the factors is because students are not trained to solve problems with characteristics such as PISA questions. It takes a development of questions that can provide space for students to practice mathematical literacy, one of which is the ability of statistical literacy. This study aims to develop quality PISA model statistical problems to practice the statistical literacy skills of students. The type of research used was Research and Development with the 4D (Four D) Model. The subject of this research trial was grade VIII B students of SMP Negeri 1 Bintan in the academic year 2018/2019. Data collection instruments used were instruments to measure the validity of questions and test results sheets. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the data validation of the questions and the results of the trial. This study produced 7 quality items namely valid, reliable, distinguishing features, and a good level of difficulty. This question is able to attract interest and motivate and provide stimulus to test subjects to bring up the statistical literacy skills of students.

Abstract

Pada Era Revolusi Industri 4.0, guru dituntut untuk mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tuntutan tersebut adalah pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Namun, pendekatan ini masih terbilang asing bagi kebanyakan guru maupun mahasiswa calon guru di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Kegiatan pengabdian yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan pendekatan STEM kepada masyarakat di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau ini diikuti oleh 120 orang peserta yang terdiri dari guru SMA sebagai sasaran utama, mahasiswa calon guru serta siswa SMA. Kegiatan pengenalan ini diawali dengan pemaparan materi pendekatan STEM, dilanjutkan dengan sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab serta diakhiri dengan evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui pengisian angket. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa 93,75% peserta menyatakan topik yang disajikan menarik dan menggugah rasa ingin tahu peserta, sehingga terjadi penambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan peserta tentang pendekatan STEM.

Abstract

In this era of revolution 4.0, where humans are increasingly required to utilize technology, both information, and communication, it is hoped that Human Resources (HR) will greatly influence the development of the world, especially in the field of education. Currently, in the situation of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the government only recommends students to carry out distance learning, namely online. Therefore, educators need to create teaching media that support to facilitate the implementation of Distance Learning at this time. This study aims to develop an E-Magazine Media on the Class XI High School Line and Series Materials. This research is a type of Research and Development research that refers to the ADDIE model with limitations up to the analysis stage, the design stage, and the development stage. The data collection technique used in this research is using a questionnaire. The instrument used for data collection is a validation sheet for media experts and material experts. The data obtained in the study were in the form of qualitative data and then converted into quantitative data using the Method of Summated Ratings (MSR). The results of this study indicate that the developed E-magazine media meets the valid criteria.
