Abstract

UKM Batik Anisa encounters several problems including limited creativity and innovation to create new designs and iconic motifs that can represent regional characteristics, limited variations in batik color, limited market network, marketing strategies, and promotional media for batik products, limited knowledge about tourism and the important role of souvenir, and limited tools and materials that are relevant for initiating the development of new batik motif called pithecanthropus erectus (PE). This is innovative motif that has the potential to become iconic batik product of Ngawi. This activity aims to overcome problem faced by UKM Batik Anisa. Methods include counseling, discussing, training, and assisting. Results of the activity include innovations of new batik design and motifs (pithecanthropus erectus), variation of batik color through diverse combination of color, website to expand market networks, knowledge improvement concerning tourism and opportunities to create iconic souvenirs, and new tools to increase productivity of UKM Batik Anisa. Keywords: batik; design; iconic; pithecanthropus erectus.

Abstract

Kajian ini merupakan kajian estetika untuk menjelaskan batik bledhak Pacitan dari segi bentuk (struktur), makna simbolis dan fungsi batik bledhak Pacitan dengan acuan analisis konsep estetika Edmund Burke Feldman. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dilanjutkan dengan pengumpulan data observasional, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa batik bledhak Pacitan dapat digolongkan menurut klasifikasi jenis motifnya, di antaranya batik bledhak motif tumbuhan terdiri dari batik bledhak sembagen awal, batik bledhak sembagen, batik bledhak ros, batik bledhak bunga, batik bledhak lung ros, batik bledhak jahe-jahe dan batik bledhak motif hewan terdiri dari batik bledhak sepasang merpati, batik bledhak burung, batik bledhak manuk emprit. Makna simbolis batik bledhak Pacitan sangat erat kaitannya dengan pengaruh adat istiadat penduduk desa Cokrokembang, di antaranya: bersih desa, endhog panggang mas, dan kethuk kenang. Batik bledhak Pacitan memiliki fungsi personal yang condong masuk kepada golongan seni benda pakai. Batik bledhak Pacitan memiliki fungsi sosial, yakni: 1) cenderung mempengaruhi perilaku masyarakat secara kolektif, 2) diciptakan untuk khalayak tertentu, dan 3) berfungsi sebagai alat untuk memperoleh pengakuan sosial. Fungsi fisik batik bledhak Pacitan, yakni: 1) sebagai busana (fashion), 2) sebagai cinderamata (souvenir), dan 3) sebagai hiasan dinding. Kata kunci: estetika, batik bledhak, bentuk, makna, fungsi Study of Pacitan Bledhak batik aesthetics: Review from its shape, meaning, and function AbstractThis is a study of the aesthetics of bledhak Pacitan’s batik. This research aim is to explain bledhak in terms of form (structure), symbolic meaning and function with the help of Edmund Burke Feldman's aesthetic concept. This study used qualitative descriptive research methods followed by collecting observational data, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Batik bledhak can be classified according to the types of motifs, bledhak plant motif including bledhak sembagen awal, batik bledhak sembagen, batik bledhak ros, batik bledhak bunga, batik bledhak lung ros, batik bledhak jahe-jahe and batik bledhak animal motif including batik bledhak sepasang merpati, batik bledhak burung, batik bledhak manuk emprit. Symbolic meanings of bledhak are closely related to the influence of the traditions of the people of Cokrokembang village, including village cleaning, endhog, and kethuk kenang. The result of the study is that bledhak has a unique function that tends to fall into applied art. Batik bledhak has social functions: 1) tends to influence collective people's behaviour, 2) is created for specific audiences, and 3) serves as a tool to gain social recognition. Batik bledhak is used as1) fashion, 2) souvenirs, and 3) wall decoration.   Keywords: aesthetics, batik bledhak, form, meaning, function

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to explore and observe the existence, development, and changes of Pacitan batik, especially in the aspect of form, function and product of Pacitan batik in social, cultural and economic contexts. This research is descriptive qualitative by using a multidisciplinary approach, culture, aesthetics in the hope that it can answer all the problems. Changes caused by internal factors can occur due to new interpretations and perceptions of the Pacitan community, as a community that supports batik cloth. Pacitan people have a sense to participate in the development, innovation, ideas, and new creations of Pacitan batik. Changes caused by external factors generally occur because of relationships, communication, and social and cultural interactions with other cultures. Pacitan batik products have also experienced developments and changes, both in quantity and quality. Broadly speaking, the changes that occurred in Pacitan batik were marked by a change in its function, from the beginning as a long cloth worn by women during official events or during celebrations, to now becoming a trade commodity product. The motifs applied to Pacitan batik initially contained deep philosophical symbolic meanings, but now these meanings have been put aside, and only evaluated for their aesthetic aspects. Changes in cultural products will have an impact on the supporting community, both in terms of socio-cultural aspects, as well as socio-economic aspects.

Abstract

Pada 31 Oktober 2021, Kota Surabaya meluncurkan aplikasi E-Peken (https://peken.surabaya.go.id/) untuk membantu para pengusaha UMKM menjangkau pembeli potensialnya. Lenny Catering adalah salah satu UMKM di Kota Surabaya yang berpartisipasi pada e-peken. Pemasaran digital membutuhkan kebaruan dan keakuratan konten. Penggunaan fitur E-PEKEN menuntut Lenny Catering untuk memiliki konten yang memadai. Keterbatasan literasi dan sumber daya menjadi kendala bagi usaha ini dalam memperbarui kontennya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu Lenny Catering dalam mengembangkan kontennya di E-PEKEN.

Abstract

UMKM berperan sebagai penggerak tumbuhnya ekonomi Kota Surabaya. Salah satu UMKM yang bertahan selama dan setelah pandemi Covid-19 adalah Toko Mekarsari. Toko Mekarsari adalah UMKM tanaman hias yang berada di Surabaya. Setelah tiga tahun berpindah lokasi ke Sentra Pasar Bunga Tenggilis, pemilik usaha membutuhkan perluasan pemasaran, karena lokasi baru masih belum cukup dikenal. Salah satu cara untuk memperluas pemasaran adalah menerapkan digital marketing. Penerapan digital marketing membutuhkan konten digital, baik berupa foto, video, maupun data persediaan. Program ini dilakukan untuk memberi pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada Toko Mekarsari dalam rangka pengembangan konten digital. Hasil kegiatan adalah berupa kumpulan dokumentasi data dan foto, serta peningkatan keterampilan dokumentasi.

Abstract

Bisnis kecil dan menengah (UMKM) membantu pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Surabaya. Toko Mekarsari, sebuah UMKM tanaman hias di Surabaya, adalah salah satu yang bertahan selama dan setelah pandemi Covid-19. Setelah berpindah ke Sentra Pasar Bunga Tenggilis selama tiga tahun, pemilik usaha perlu melakukan promosi lebih luas di tempat baru. Digital marketing adalah salah satu cara untuk memperluas pemasaran. Untuk menggunakan digital marketing diperlukan website dan instagram sebagai media pemasarannya. Program ini dilakukan untuk memberi pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada Toko Mekarsari dalam rangka pengembangan website dan instagram toko. Hasil kegiatan adalah berupa website dan instagram yang dibangun untuk peningkatan jangkauan pemasaran.

Abstract

The current problem is that  Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism is not widely known to the public inside and outside Surabaya city. Promotion is only  by word of mouth so the scope of  promotion is not wide. Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism needed a safe way to introduce itself to the public. We wanted to use community-oriented promotional materials to promote this type of ecotourism while respecting government health regulations. This design uses SWOT analysis to explore and solve the problems faced by Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism. The researchers also reinforced the SWOT analysis method used by using  qualitative methods, such as observations and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, the researchers used theory in the fields of social media, marketing communications, and marketing strategy to design promotions for  Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism. The researchers also developed the visual identity as part of the  design to promote Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism. The results of this design include promotional materials and logos specifically designed to support the promotion of Medokan Ayu Surabaya Mangrove Ecotourism.

Abstract

In the digital era, promotional skills through visual media are becoming increasingly important, especially for students and teachers in the field of Visual Communication Design (DKV). This community service activity aims to improve the digital promotion competence of students and teachers majoring in DKV at SMKN 1 Surabaya through training in making animated stickers. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research, with the participation of 17 students and 9 DKV teachers. This training involves several stages, starting from an introduction to the basics of making animated stickers, manufacturing practices, to implementation in digital promotional strategies. The research results show that this training was successful in improving students' and teachers' skills in creating effective animated stickers for digital promotions. Apart from that, training participants also showed an increased understanding of the importance of using animated stickers in more creative and attractive promotional campaigns. Thus, this training can be used as a model for developing other digital promotion skills in vocational education institutions.

Abstract

Maggot berasal dari telur lalat black soldier dan menggunakan bahan organik sebagai sumber nutrisi utama untuk tumbuh dan berkembang. Dengan memanfaatkan siklus alami ini, maggot dapat mengubah sampah organik menjadi sumber daya yang bernilai, mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, dan mendukung pendekatan berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan limbah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan, dianalisis, dan diinterpretasikan, tidak hanya meneliti tentang pengolahan sampah organic penelitian juga mengembangkan video edukasi animasi mengenai pemanfaatan sampah rumah tangga dengan maggot. Pembuatan melalui tiga tahap utama: pra-produksi: persiapan, produksi: mewujudkan ide, dan pasca-produksi: penyempurnaan dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini tidak hanya melakukan riset, tetapi juga mengumpulkan data secara menyeluruh melalui berbagai metode, yaitu: observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, studi pustaka yang komprehensif, dan survey yang terukur. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video edukasi animasi ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pengolahan sampah organik dengan maggot dan dampaknya terhadap pelestarian lingkungan. Melalui pendekatan kreatif dan informatif, video ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kesadaran serta partisipasi aktif masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan.
