Abstract

Open open space is one of the elements of space that has a function as a social binder for the resident community in a certain area, can be accessed from anywhere and anytime so that it has a sustainability function that can improve the quality of life of the community both in social, economic, and even cultural contexts. On an urban scale, the rules regarding open space are directed at efforts to achieve good oxygen conditions which are a requirement in improving the health status of the community. In residential areas, the performance of open space is more emphasized on socio-cultural functions where people can gather in a friendly atmosphere so that the optimization of open space functions in the aspect of joint economic improvement is actually open for development. Open space in a residential area in Romang Lompoa Village has the potential in the form of a large volume. The main problem lies in the lack of facilities to support community activities in developing interactive activities between fellow settlers in a social context. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the function of the existing open space by providing the design of supporting facilities for interactive activities which can then be realized by the community in the residential environment through participatory activities based on mutual cooperation. The method of carrying out the activities formulated by the Community Service Team of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University refers to the health protocol rules as part of efforts to break the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. Therefore, the form of activity is mostly carried out in the form of observation and evaluation of existing open spaces as well as limited interviews with stakeholders at locations at community service locations.

Abstract

Pemanasan global (global warming) menjadi pembicaraan penting di sejumlah Negara dimanaterjadi fenomena naiknya suhu dipermukaan bumi. Perubahan suhu berdampak pada bangunandimana bangunan mengkonsumsi energi dalam jumlah besar untuk memperoleh kenyamananpencahayaan (visual comfort) dan penghawaan (thermal comfort). Tujuan penelitian ini adalahmenganalisis pencahayaan pada bangunan perkantoran Wisma Kalla di Makassar yangberlandaskan pada pemikiran meminimalkan konsumsi energi sehingga tercipta bangunan hematenergi tanpa mengurangi produktifitas kerja. Metode penelitian secara kwantitatif yaitumenganalisis tingkat iluminasi dan konsumsi energi pada ruang kerja kantor denganmenggunakan program ecotect. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik dalam mendesainpencahayaan buatan yaitu dapat meminimalkan konsumsi energi dengan mempertimbangkanstandar illuminasi (level illuminance), sehingga tercipta bangunan hemat energi.Kata kunci : Hemat energi, Bangunan perkantoran, PencahayaanABSTRACT

Abstract

One type of education in Indonesia is formal education which is supported by additional programs in the religion field. This education is generally implemented with a system of student living in dormitory that follows the provisions and supervision by the administrator. One of them is the Darul Aman Gombara Islamic Boarding School in Makassar. This Islamic boarding school area does not yet have the necessary facilities as a communication space or gathering for all student and supports student’s activities in various talents in the sport filed. The purpose of this service activity is to redesign the dormitory into a hall while maintaining the identity of the Islamic boarding school, process needs and make land available efficiently, as well as implement design ideas/concepts through an acoustic approach that is able to achieve the desired function, namely as a communication center. The method used are a discussion of the Islamic boarding school needs and present the design concepts offered, as well as direction and assistance from the results of the designs that have been designed. The result of this activity is the design of the hall as a student communication space through an acoustic aspect approach.

Abstract

Abstrak_ Pada sebagian besar jenis bangunan, penggunaan cahaya alami sangat penting. Desain pencahayaan harus mencerminkan peran dan kebutuhan penghuni untuk memastikan bahwa bangunan diterangi dengan baik. Skylight adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kuantitas cahaya yang diperlukan tanpa menyebabkan silau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis distribusi cahaya antara desain skylight eksisting dengan berbagai usulan desain skylight yang dilakukan melalui simulasi pada atrium Mall Ratu Indah Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi desain bangunan eksisting menyebabkan distribusi cahaya tidak merata, sementara simulasi desain bukaan 40% menggunakan material kaca skylight dengan nilai VLT (Visible Light Transmission) sebesar 0.7, lebih memberikan hasil distribusi yang baik.Kata kunci : Pengaruh; Desain Skylight; Distribusi Cahaya; Pusat Perbelanjaan; Mall Ratu Indah Makassar. Abstract_ In most types of buildings, the use of natural light is very important. Lighting design should reflect the role and needs of occupants to ensure that the building is well lit. Skylights are one way to increase the quantity of light needed without causing glare. This research aims to analyze the distribution of light between existing skylight designs and various skylight design proposals carried out through simulations in the atrium of Ratu Indah Makassar Mall. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive analysis. The results showed that existing building design conditions caused uneven light distribution, while 40% aperture design simulation using skylight glass material with VLT (Visible Light Transmission) value of 0.7, more gave good distribution results.Keywords : Influence; Skylight Design; Distribusi  Cahaya; Shopping Mall; Mall Ratu Indah Makassar.

Abstract

Thermal comfort is one of the fundamental aspects of indoor environmental quality and it is closely related to occupant satisfaction and energy use in buildings. The purpose of this research was to analyze the thermal conditions of the student affairs rooms (Interest & Talent Room and Student Meeting room) at second floor and the academic and education rooms (Academic Meeting room, Academic Registration room, and Head of Education and Evaluation room) at seventh floor of Hasanuddin University rectorate building. This study used a quantitative method using a survey where the researcher asked several respondents about the level of thermal comfort of the room occupants when the volume of air conditioner (AC) is increased gradually every day at 18o C, 22o C, and 27o C. In addition, measurements were conducted using HOBO from 08.00 – 17.00 to obtain data in the form of air temperature, humidity, and air velocity in the room. At the same time, respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire asking the level of comfort felt by the room occupants at that time. The results showed that the average air temperature at 18o C is 24.62o C, humidity is 63.108% and air velocity is 0.144 m/s. At a temperature of 22o C, the average air temperature is 24.78o C, humidity is 60.684%, and the air velocity is 0.142 m/s. At a temperature of 27o C, the average air temperature is 25.97o C, humidity is 64.022%, and the air velocity is 0.127 m/s. The results showed that the respondents felt ‚cold‘ when the volume was at 18o C, they felt 'comfortable' when the volume was at 22o C, and they felt ‚neutral‘ when the volume was at 27o C. In the end, temperatures of 22o C and 27o C can be used as a reference in the use of air conditioning temperatures in the room.

Abstract

One of the passive design strategies that effectively reduce the heat load on the building envelope, especially in areas with a large surface area of glass shading Device. The research aims to measure the design influence of shading devices against the value of Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) buildings. Research using quantitative methods, research done by trying Shading devices with Vertical Models, Horizontal multiple fins, and Egg crates, which have the length and slope provided by the Indonesian National Standard SNI. It tests each design shading measured on an impairment basis OTTV the best and best under 45 Watt/m². The results of the study show that shading devices affect the impairment of OTTV. The longer the shading device and the higher the slope, the more effective it is in blocking incoming radiation through the glass surface. Impairment OTTV existing buildings without a shading device have an initial value of 69.572 W/m2, decreased by 55% to 31.57 W/m2. Shading an egg crate with length120 cm with a slope of 40° is the best shading based on a comparative analysis between vertical louver shading and horizontal multiple fin shading. This is due to shading egg crates being able to respond to the sun in incoming low and high altitude angles to minimize or block radiation that enters through the glass surface.

Abstract

the potential to be a composite reinforcement and increase sound absorption through the Chemical Pulping process. This study aims to investigate the alleged influence of the use of matrix type on the strength of sound absorption in chicken feather fiber composites. The research method used is experimental research with the manufacture of composite specimens that vary the volume fraction of composite fibers with various types of matrices. Sound absorption testing using impedance tubes. Data analysis techniques in this study use descriptive data analysis. The results of this test show the effect of using matrix type on increasing the absorption coefficient of SBA composites. The maximum absorption coefficient is found in the SBA-K composite (Chicken Feathers – Kanji).

Abstract

Pemanasan global mempengaruhi kondisi langit dan juga mempengaruhi suhu di permukaan bumi. Perubahan kondisi langit mempengaruhi distribusi cahaya ke dalam gedung. Sinar matahari adalah sumber cahaya alami di pagi, siang dan malam hari. Pemanfaatan pencahayaan alami menjadi bangunan, dapat mengurangi penggunaan energi sebagai sumber pencahayaan buatan. Hotel Arya Duta memiliki bentuk unik dari orientasi terhadap sunrise dan sunset, sehingga perlu dianalisis, bagaimana distribusi cahaya ke dalam gedung, sehingga bisa menjadi panduan dalam mendesain bangunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh posisi, tinggi lantai dan bukaan jendela pada selubung bangunan terhadap distribusi cahaya alami. Metode penelitian kuantitatif adalah menganalisa tingkat iluminasi di dalam dan di luar gedung dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian adalah tingkat pencahayaan siang hari tergantung pada kondisi langit dan telah mempengaruhi distribusi cahaya ke dalam gedung. Distribusi cahaya meningkat pada ketinggian lantai. Serta membuka jendela pada amplop bangunan (pencahayaan atas dan pencahayaan samping) memiliki efek pada tingkat pencahayaan di gedung. Distribusi cahaya alami akan meningkat pada siang hari, jika kondisi langit tidak berubah dalam satu hari.

Abstract

Desain pencahayaan merupakan salah satu prioritas dalam merancang bangunan gedung dan pemanfaatan pencahayaan alami dapat menurunkan pemakaian energi, namun perlu memperhatikan produktifitas kerja pengguna ruang dengan mempertimbangkan rekomendasi standard iluminasi (level of illuminance), kesilauan(glare), tingkat kecermelangan (brightness) dan efek penghawaan (thermal). Gedung Menara Phinisi Universitas Negeri Makassar menggunakan fasade bangunan berbentuk Hiperbolic Paraboloid sehingga desain gedung ini menjadi panduan dalam menganalisis pengaruh fasade bangunan terhadap pencahayaan alami. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh fasade bangunan terhadap tingkat iluminasi, distribusi cahaya alami dan aplikasi bentuk fasade. Metode penelitian kwantitatif dengan menggunakan program Autodesk Echotech untuk mengetahui tingkat iluminasi dalam dan luar bangunan. Hasil penelitian meyimpulkan bahwa terjadi penurunan distribusi cahaya apabila menggunakan fasade bangunan dan bentuk fasade juga berpengaruh terhadap tingkat iluminasi dalam ruang.

Abstract

Desain pencahayaan merupakan salah satu faktor dalam perencanaan pembangunan gedung. Para Arsitek mendesain pencahayaan ruang hanya mengacu pada standar iluminasi yang telah direkomendasikan oleh SNI, sehingga perlu menganalisis pencahayaan pada ruang perkuliahan Fakultas Teknik Unhas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat iluminasi dalam ruang kuliah, apakah berpengaruh terhadap orientasi bangunan dan bagaimana intensitas cahaya pada area bukaan selubung bangunan. Metode penelitian kwantiatif dengan menganalisis data secara deskriptif statistik . Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa tingkat iluminasi pada ruang kuliah belum memenuhi rekomendasi standar iluminas, namun pengguna ruang masih dapat beraktifitas dengan baik. Selanjutnya tingkat iluminasi berpengaruh terhadap orientasi bangunan dan area pada selubung bangunan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam merumuskan rekomendasi standar iluminasi, khususnya pada ruang kuliah.
