Abstract

Abstract: In the last ten years, the government has realized a local-based creative industry program as one of the nation's peculiarities. This is based on Presidential Instruction No. 6/2006, which states that one of the sources of enrichment for local-based creative industries is local cultural wisdom. In the development of the creative industry is increasingly known, it is necessary to have writing skills from students as novice writers. Research subjects are fifth semester students who take Feature courses. Research data in the form of students' writing skills; title, intro, dialogue, story atmosphere, plot, theme, characterization, setting, and moral message closing the feature of local-based creative industry wisdom. The results of the overall study of students' ability to write local-based creative industries concluded that the range of abilities was 'good'. Based on the conclusions, the suggestions put forward; (1) features are very easy to write by students as novice writers, so students are motivated to write local-based creative industries, and (2) feature data is sourced from the results of field research through; observation, interview, investigation, and reportage. Collecting data like this is fun for students, as young researchers. Based on these two things, the suggestions put forward for learning literary journalism are very well developed in learning to write. Abstract

: This study aims to describe the application of a project-based learning model to learning Indonesian language learning strategies. The learning model applied in this research is a project-based learning model, by applying six steps; determining questions, designing project plans, compiling schedules, monitoring students and project progress, testing results, and evaluating experiences. The research sample consisted of 30 control classes and 30 experimental classes of Indonesian Language Education Study Program students. Data collected by observation techniques, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique used the percentage technique and t-test statistics via SPSS-23. In addition, a procedural analysis of the application of project-based learning through six steps is used. In addition, observations of student learning motivation reached an average of 86 in the experimental class and 78 in the control class. In terms of learning creativity it reached 87 for the experimental class and 76 for the control class. While the results of observations of student learning outcomes reached 85 for the experimental class and 74 for the control class.Thus the observation results show a higher rating in the experimental class when compared to the control class. The results of the different test between the control class and the experimental class showed a significant difference between the t-test and t-table, through the t-test namely on learning motivation learning motivation 6,629 > 1,686 learning creativity 6,758 > 1,686 and learning outcomes 6,762 > 1,686. Thus the research hypothesis; There is a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class in learning project-based Indonesian language learning strategies. Thus learning project-based Indonesian language learning strategies courses is proven to be able to increase learning motivation, learning creativity, and student learning outcomes. Research conclusion; Learning motivation, learning creativity and student learning outcomes in learning strategy courses can be improved through learning using a project-based learning model for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP Jambi University odd semester 2021. 2022. The process of implementing the project-based learning model in the Indonesian Language Learning Strategy course for students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP Jamabi University, odd semester of 2021/2022 is taking place effectively. Implementation of project-based learning at every step of implementation starting from; determining questions, designing project plans, compiling schedules, monitoring students and project progress, testing results, and evaluating experiences goes well until students look very enthusiastic and enthusiastic. This can be seen from the observation categories which show good and very good categories

Abstract

AbstrakUnsur penokohan sangat penting dalam sebuah cerpen karena mampu menghidupkan tokoh dalam cerita dan memberikan gambaran yang jelas terhadap sebuah tokoh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penokohan pada antologi Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2021 Keluarga Kudus dan mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditinjau dari segi penokohan. Pada buku antologi ini terdapat 22 cerpen dan hanya 6 cerpen yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian, yaitu Akar Bahar Tiga Warna, Aku Ngenteni Tekamu, Kota Ini adalah Sumur, Akhirnya Kita Semua Menjadi Maling, Cakar Dubuk Tutul, dan Keluarga Kudus. Dari keseluruhan cerpen tersebut terdapat 27 tokoh. Metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan objektif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kajian atau analisis penokohan dengan menggunakan teori penokohan Burhan Nurgiyantoro. Selanjutnya, penokohan tersebut dijadikan sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa terdapat 17 tokoh protagonis dan 10 tokoh antagonis yang didasarkan pada fungsi penampilan tokoh. Tokoh protagonis maupun tokoh antagonis dominan dilukiskan dengan teknik dramatik. Nilai Pendidikan karakter yang ditinjau dari segi penokohan terdiri dari nilai tanggungjawab, kerja keras, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, jujur, peduli sosial, dan religius.Kata Kunci: Penokohan, Pendidikan Karakter, Cerpen Kompas AbstrackThe element of charactization is very important in a short story because it is able to give a life form of one character and also gives a clear picture of the characters in the story. This research aims to describe the characterization in anthology of Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2021 Keluarga Kudus and explain the value of character education in terms of charactization. In this anthology, there are 22 short story and only 6 used as research objects, namely Akar Bahar Tiga Warna, Aku Ngenteni Tekamu, Kota Ini adalah Sumur, Akhirnya Kita Semua Menjadi Maling, Cakar Dubuk Tutul, dan Keluarga Kudus. From the whole short story above there are 27 characters already identified. This research use qualitative method with and objective approaches. This research focused on the study of charactization analysis using Burhan Nurfuyantoro's theory concept. Furthermore, characterization as the main concept for this research helps to strengthen the character education. The research result describe that there are 17 protagonists and 10 antagonists based on the function of the character's appearance. The protagonist and the dominant antagonist are depicted using dramatic techniques. The essence of these character through character education are responsibility, hard work, democratic, curious, honest, social care and religious.Keywords: Characterizations, Character Education, Kompas Short Story

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model project based learning dalam menulis teks ekplanasi di kelas VIII SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas VIII SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Data yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini berupa hasil observasi, hasil wawancara bersama guru terkait proses penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning, hasil dokumentasi, serta hasil proyek siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model project based learning pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi siswa di kelas VIII SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi, pada langkah pertama yakni penentuan proyek, langkah kedua mendesaian perencanaan proyek, langkah ketiga menyusun jadwal, dan langkah keempat guru memonitoring proses dan kemajuan proyek siswa, terlaksana dengan baik. Namun pada langkah kelima yaitu menguji hasil proyek, belum terlaksana dengan baik karna keterbatasan waktu sehingga guru menilai berdasarkan hasil proyek siswa saja, dan pada langkah terakhir evaluasi pembelajaran terlaksana dengan baik kembali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning dalam menulis teks ekplanasi di kelas VIII SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi secara keseluruhan terlaksana dengan baik, sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran project based learning yang telah dirancang pada RPP.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is one of the important activities to gain knowledge, information, or to get entertainment. The research aims to produce teaching materials for reading comprehension skills that are valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development research with the Plomp development model developed by Tjeerd Plomp, 2010. The research subjects were 48 fifth semester students. The results showed that reading comprehension teaching materials used the big question strategy for Indonesian language and literature education students with valid, practical, and effective categories with a percentage of 90%. It is concluded that the use of teaching materials for reading comprehension skills using the big question strategy is feasible to use.

Abstract

Hybrid learning integrates online technological advancements with traditional interactive learning methods, aiming to enhance educational outcomes. This study focuses on developing a hybrid learning model tailored for pragmatic education using the Borg Gall development model.The research employed the Borg Gall 10-step RD model involving 30 participants from an Indonesian language education program. Data collection methods included observations, questionnaires, and tests, analyzed using statistical tools. Key steps in the development process were: needs analysis, design, initial and subsequent field testing, iterative revisions, and final implementation.Field testing revealed marked improvements in learning outcomes. The initial test phase showed an increase in average scores from 5.50 (pre-test) to 6.71 (post-test). Subsequent testing showed scores improving from 6.15 (pre-test) to 7.41 (post-test). Statistical analyses confirmed significant enhancements in learning motivation (t = 9.554), creativity (t = 9.897), and learning outcomes (t = 9.996), with t-count values surpassing the critical t-table value of 2.136.The findings highlight the efficacy of the hybrid learning model in improving pragmatic education outcomes. Significant gains in motivation and creativity suggest that the model effectively integrates online and traditional teaching methodologies to address diverse educational needs.This study underscores the potential of hybrid learning models, developed using a systematic approach, in fostering improved learning outcomes for pragmatic education. The significant pre- and post-test differences validate its application and effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan podcast terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa SMP Negeri Satap 6 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan berbicara siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Podcast sebagai media audio digital dinilai memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui paparan bahasa asli, latihan mandiri, dan peningkatan kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media podcast dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji-t. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, serta terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p = 0,003). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan podcast berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Podcast dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa di tingkat SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to desribe and analyze the moral values contained in four folktales from the Batak Toba region, namely Putri Berdarah Putih, Baleo Mahato, Si Tangan Bulu, and Balige Raja. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research dare were obtained from the folktale texts sourced using the Miles and Huberman (1994) model, which includes three stages: data reduction, data display, and conlusion drawing. The findings show that the four folktales contain moral values that reflect the worldview of the Batak Toba community. The identified moral values include honesty, responsibility, patience, religiosity, diligence and justice. These values are classified into three main aspects according to Nurgiyantoro (2010), namely the relationship between humans and God, humans and themselves, and humans and others or the social environment. The results of this study affirm that folktales play an important role as a medium of moral education and as a means of preserving the wisdom of Batak Toba people amid the currents of modernization.
