Abstract

For the implementation of learning to write effectively and efficiently implemented, learning to write should be based on the theories and approaches accordingly. This paper describes the underlying theory and approach to the implementation of learning to write. For that, there are two main things described in this paper, namely (1) theory of language learning and the process of writing and (2) approach to learning to write. The first description includes a theory of language learning (Behavioristic, mentalistik, andBialystok) and the writing process (prapenulisan, writing drafts, and revisions). The description covers both communicative and integrative approach.

Abstract

Abstrak-Dalam pembelajaran bahasa menulis adalah pembelajaran yang membutuhkan keterampilan. Menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan bahasa yang sulit dikuasai oleh siswa, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang tidak hanya mengajarkan konsep-konsep bahasa, tetapi juga dapat mengasah kemampuan berpikir siswa dengan menyajikan berbagai fenomena dalam kehidupan nyata manusia yang dapat dijadikan topik bahasan atau masalah. Demikian juga untuk data kualitas hasil yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata dari 64,62 pada siklus I menjadi 77,74 pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran menulis esai siswa kelas XII SMAN TT HAS Jambi. Sesuai dengan simpulan, peneliti menyarankan kepada Guru Bahasa Indonesia untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada pembelajaran menulis esai, karena model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terbukti dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran Kata Kunci: Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pembelajaran menulis, esai

Abstract

This article aim to explain skill study to  write being based on process to write and the language acquisition theory. For the purpose, there is fundamental three things elaborated at this article, that is (1) process writes, (2) language acquisition, and (3) skill  study  writes.  Description  firstly  covers  (a)  the  process  theory  writes  and  (b) process principles writes. Abstract

This article explains result “classroom research”  having approach qualitative.  Result of  its  is  description  "writing-learning  composition-ekspositif  process  to  base  on process  to  write  in  SMP  Bangsa"  and  "teacher  paradigm  about  execution  of  the writing-learning". Its process equal to process writes, that is prewriting,  draft writing, and revision. In each the step, teacher applies strategy and procedure which can streamline  writing-learning.  Based  on  the  confidence,  strategy  and  procedure applied by that can train student to think creative, selective, associative, schematic, and analytical.Keywords: writing-learning, composition-ekspositif, process writes, teacher paradigm

Abstract

Purpose of writing of this article is explain "qualitative research the learning process of writing: gathering and research data analysis". With respect to the matter, there are three fundamental studies, staple namly (1) research qualitative the learning process of writing, (2) data collecting the learning process of writing, and (3) data analysis the learning process of writing. Review the first include the learning process of writing and classroom research the learning process of writing. Review the second include  way of research data collecting of the learning process of writing and note of field. Abstract

This research description aim to unity and coherence paragraph artcle Studies Programme Psychology, Faculty of Medical and Health of Science, University of Jambi. Jambi. This research applies quantitative descriptive method. Population of All these research of student article paragraph, that is 45 paragraphs. From population is taken 50% at random as the sample, gotten 22 paragraphs. Research data is analysed quantitatively, the step: looks for frequency distribution by value " unity and coherence" paragraph; determines classification is frequency distribution based onthe quality; percentage unity and coherence paragraph based on the quality; and presentation of result. Result of research as follows: unity of paragraph with quality very good: 0%; good: 45,5%; enough: 50%; less: 4,5%; and less once: 0% and coherence paragraph with quality very good: 4,5%; good: 63,7%, enough: 22,8%; less: 9%, and less once: 0%. Abstract

Purpose of this research description of characteristic and quality of braid item mind in paragraph Student Faculty of the Techniques University of Jambi. Research method applied is quantitative descriptive. Population of research of all student article paragraphs, the numbers 122. Sampling technique at random, group and proportional. From population is taken by 20% as the sample, gotten 24 paragraphs. Data analytical technique, the step: (1) seeking is frequency distribution according to braid characteristic item mind, (2) classification of distribution based on the quality, (3) percentage every element of characteristic and quality, and (4) presentation of result. Result of research shows there are 5 braid characteristic type item mind, that is because to effect (50%), comparison and contradiction (20,8%), definition of wide (12,5%), general to specific (8,3%), and specific to general (8,3%). Quality of first type, (enough: 334% and less: 166%); second (enough: 8,3% and less: 12,5); third (enough: 4,15% and less: 8,3%), fourth (enough: 4,15% and less: 4,15%); and specificl to general (enough:8,3%). Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan penguasaan teori berita dengan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP. Rendahnya kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa berkaitan pula dengan rendahnya penguasaan teori berita siswa yang ditunjukkan dari hasil tugas harian pada pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Selain itu, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan hasil penguasaan teori berita dan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif pada jenis penelitian survey dengan analisis korelasional. Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan pada uji coba instrumen, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji hipotesis dan uji signifikansi. Rata-rata nilai penguasaan teori berita siswa adalah 65,48 dengan kategori cukup baik, rata-rata nilai kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa adalah 71,7 dengan kategori baik, serta ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penguasaan teori berita dengan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP sebesar 0,970 dengan kategori sangat kuat dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 94% (> yaitu 0,970 > 0.297. N= 44 taraf signifikansi 5%= 0,297). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penguasaan teori berita dengan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP. Kata kunci: hubungan, penguasaan teori, kemampuan menulis, teks berita Abstract This research aimed to describe correlation of news theory mastery with the ability to write news texts of students Junior High School on classVIII. In addition, this research describes the results of news theory mastery and the students ability to write news texts. This research is included in quantitative research on the type of survey research with correlational analysis. The results of this study are based on instrument testing, normality test, linearity test, hypothesis test and significance test. The average mastery value of student news theory is 65.48 with a fairly good category, the average value of the ability to write student news text is 71.7 with a good category, and there is a significant correlation between mastery of news theory with the ability to write news texts class VIII of Junior High School students at 0.970 with a very strong category and a determination coefficient of 94% (r_count> r_tabel which is 0.970> 0.297. Rtable N = 44 levels significance of 5% = 0.297). It can be concluded that there is a significant relation between the mastery of news theory and the ability to write news texts of students class VIII on Junior High School. Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran menulis berpendekatan autentik, materinya dapat digali dari tulisan siswa. Tulisan siswa tersebut dapat dikaji berdasarkan kualitas dan pola penalarannya, sehingga hasil deskripsi kajiannya dapat dipakai sebagai rujukan materi pembelajaran menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan kualitas paragraf tulisan esai argumentatif siswa SMAN-KMJ dan pola penalarannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan “deskriptif kuantitatif”. Populasi penelitian ini semua tulisan siswa SMAN-KMJ. Sampel penelitiannya adalah tulisan siswa kelas-2 SMAN I; kelas-2 SMAN III; dan kelas-2 SMAN XI. Langkah-langkah analisis penelitian ini sebagai berikut: pencarian distribusi frekuensi sesuai kualitas tulisan esai argumentatif dan pola penalarannya; pengategorian distribusi berdasarkan pola penalarannya; dan persentase tiap-tiap pola penalaran tersebut. Hasil penelitian mununjukkan, paragraf pada tulisan esai argumentatif siswa SMAN-KMJ, berkualitas Sangat Baik (SB): 0%; Baik (B): 4,25%; Cukup Baik (CB): 31,91%; Kurang Baik (KB): 51,96%, dan Tidak Baik (TB): 12,76%). Pola penalaran yang digunakan pada paragraf tersebut adalah: pola perbandingan dan pertentangan (PP): 1,72%; pola pemberian contoh (PC): 25,86%; pola sebab-akibat (SA): 63,79%; dan pola umum-khusus atau khusus-umum (UK): 8,62%. Kata Kunci: kualitas, tulisan esai, argumentatif, pola penalaran Abstract Learning to write has an authentic approach, the material can be extracted from students' writing. The student's writing can be reviewed based on the quality and pattern of reasoning, so that the results of the description of the study can be used as a reference for writing learning material. This study aims to examine and describe the quality of paragraphs in the argumentative essay writing of students of SMAN-KMJ and their reasoning patterns. The design of this research is "quantitative descriptive". The population of this research is all writing by SMA-KMJ students. The research sample was the writing of the 2nd grade students of SMAN I; 2 SMAN III; and SMAN XI. The steps of this research analysis are as follows: searching for the frequency distribution according to the quality of the argumentative essay writing and the reasoning pattern; distribution categorization based on reasoning patterns; and the percentage of each of these reasoning patterns. The results showed that the paragraphs in the argumentative essays of SMA-KMJ students had very good quality: 0%; Good: 4.25%; Good Enough: 31.91%; Poor: 51.96%, and Not Good: 12.76%). The reasoning patterns used in the paragraph are: comparison and contradiction patterns: 1.72%; pattern of example: 25.86%; causal pattern: 63.79%; and general-special or special-general pattern: 8.62%.
