Abstract

Today, with the advancement of globalization, it is essential to clarify how the local communities are changing from a viewpoint of comparative sociology, in order to evaluate the changes in the modern society from a broader point of view. This paper attempts to make a preliminary, comparative consideration between chonaikai in Japan and banjar in Bali. The results revealed the following: 1) local communities have always been placed in a top-down government framework through history; 2) yet, it demonstrates, from time to time in history, a dynamism rooted in the native social theory and customs; and 3) after all, local communities have reached a critical phase in the modern, post-colonial stage.

Abstract

This research is titled “Classification of Emotions and Emotional Expressions in the Clones of Hantengu from the Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 by Koyoharu Gotouge.” The study aims to identify the classification of emotions and emotional expressions manifested in the dialogues of the Hantengu clones in Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3. The methodologies employed in this research are content analysis and informal methods. The theoretical framework is based on the Emotion Classification Theory and Emotion Expression Theory proposed by Robert Plutchik (1980) and Paul Ekman (1992). The findings reveal that four types of emotions are identified in the Hantengu clones: 1) Anger, 2) Happiness, 3) Pleasure, and 4) Sadness. These emotions are expressed through both verbal and non-verbal means. The results indicate that the Hantengu clones consistently express their primary emotional characteristics without alteration, both verbally and non-verbally, in accordance with the theories of emotion classification and expression put forth by Robert Plutchik and Paul Ekman.

Abstract

Mental disorder in the character Aoyama is the main focus of the study titled “Obsessive Compulsive Disorder of Aoyama in the Anime Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun by Kazuya Ichikawa.” This research aims to identify the form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and its impact on the character's social life. Theories used include Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis, anxiety disorder theory by Nevid, Rathus, and Greene, and Melvin Seeman's social alienation theory. This qualitative descriptive analysis uses informal presentation methods. The findings show that Aoyama, a high school soccer player, displays OCD symptoms such as washer and cleaner and repeater, which are influenced by the dominance of id, ego, and superego. These behaviors result in social impacts including loss of self-control, lack of social meaning, absence of norms in interaction, social isolation, and individual alienation. The study reflects how psychological disorders affect social relationships in daily life
