Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan peternak dalam melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali adalah suatu proses pemilihan tindakan dari berbagai alternatif yang ada untuk mencapai satu atau beberapa tujuan yang telah ditentukan, diukur berdasarkan indikator pengambilan keputusan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk (1) mengetahui siapa yang mengambil keputusan dalam melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali pada keluarga tani (2) mengetahui pengambilan keputusan peternak dalam melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali, dan (3) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan pengambilan keputusan peternak dalam melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Penuktukan, Kecamatan Tejakula, Kabupaten Buleleng. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 40 orang yang tersebar di empat banjar dinas di Desa Penuktukan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Jenis data yang digunakan berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara secara langsung dan observasi sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari catatan yang ada di desa. Analisis data digunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan uji korelasi berjenjang Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) mayoritas yang membuat keputusan untuk melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali adalah kepala keluarga; (2) pengambilan keputusan peternak dalam melakukan usaha peternakan sapi bali adalah baik; (3) pada faktor internal terdapat hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) antara pendidikan non formal, hubungan yang nyata (P<0,10) antara jumlah kepemilikan ternak, pengetahuan dan tujuan dengan pengambilan keputusan, sedangkan pada faktor eksternal terdapat hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) antara program pemerintah dengan pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

Broiler farms in East Sumba Regency are spread throughout the region with small-scale businesses, namely 100-12,000 head/farmer. However, business conditions are not sufficient to achieve an optimum success of the farm business. However, conditions are not perfect to achieve optimal job success. The purpose of this study was to: 1) farmer behavior about the management of broiler business; 2) the nature of the correlation with breeders in the race chicken breeding business; 3) correlation between motivation and behavior; and 4) correlation between breeders' behavior and business performance of broiler chickens. The amount of income is 70 farmers. The research sample was taken using the "Quota Purposive Sampling" method, which was 41 farmers. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained from direct interviews and secondary data data obtained from literature studies. Analysis which is a descriptive analysis and Spearman level analysis. The results of the study showed that, the behavior of farmers about management of broiler farm business was in the good category with an average percentage of achieving score is 69,83%, knowledge have low category (50,97%), attitude categorized as very positive (94,63%) and moderate categorical skill (63,90%). Education level, number of personality and personality that has a positive correlation with farmer behavior (P<0,10) and farmers' motivation is included in the strong category (68,24%). In addition, motivation has a real positive correlation (P<0,05) with farmer behavior. Farmer behavior has a very real positive correlation with farmer achievement (P<0,01). Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi saluran pemasaran, menghitung margin pemasaran dan tingkat farmer’s share, serta menganalisis efisiensi pemasaran sapi potong di Kabupaten Bangli telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei - Juni 2014. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling dan dilakukan di 4 (empat) kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Bangli, Tembuku, Susut, dan Kintamani. Responden penelitian diambil secara classified random sampling yaitu sebanyak 40 orang peternak sapi, dan sampel pedagang dipilih secara snowball ball sampling yaitu sebanyak 15 orang belantik, 3 orang jagal, serta masing-masing 1 orang pedagang besar dan pedagang antar pulau. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat saluran pemasaran yang melibatkan peternak, belantik, pedagang besar, jagal, dan pedagang antar pulau. Terdapat 3 saluran yang terbentuk dari lembaga pemasaran yaitu saluran pemasaran I (peternak - belantik - penjagal), saluran pemasaran II (peternak - belantik - pedagang besar - penjagal), saluran pemasaran III (peternak - belantik - pedagang antar pulau). Margin pemasaran tertinggi terdapat pada saluran II yaitu sebesar Rp. 757.142/ekor, dan yang paling rendah terdapat pada saluran pemasaran I yaitu sebesar Rp. 500.834. Farmer’s share tertinggi terjadi pada saluran pemasaran III sebesar 96,03% dan yang paling rendah terjadi pada saluran pemasaran II sebesar 93,16%. Saluran pemasaran III merupakan saluran yang paling efisien dilihat dari hasil penghitungan indeks efisiensi yaitu sebesar 0,75%.

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas penyuluh dan dampaknya terhadap keberhasilan usaha peternakan sapi bali perbibitan telah dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Badung. Jumlah responden penyuluh sebanyak delapan orang diambil secara sensus dan responden peternak sebanyak 30 orang diambil secara acak sederhana. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Kualitas penyuluh diukur dari indikator kompetensi administrasi, perencanaan program, pelaksanaan program, keterampilan menggunakan alat bantu mengajar, psikologi belajar mengajar, teknik komunikasi, pemahaman perilaku sasaran, bertindak professional, dan melakukan monev. Data yang dihasilkan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis koefisien korelasi jenjang spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas penyuluh peternakan di kabupaten Badung termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Semua kompetensi tersebut masuk dalam katagori sangat baik, kecuali kompetensi administrasi dan kompetensi melakukan monev. Keberhasilan usaha peternakan sapi bali perbibitan di kabupaten badung termasuk dalam katagori baik yang ditunjukkan dari variabel pemilihan bibit unggul, pakan, perkandangan, kesehatan, perkembangbiakan, manajemen pemeliharaan, dan pemasaran. Tingkat pemilikan ternak dan tingkat pendapatan masing-masing masuk dalam kategori tidak baik dan sedang. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan tidak nyata (P>0,10) antara kualitas penyuluh dengan keberhasilan usaha peternakan sapi perbibitan. Untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan usaha peternakan sapi bali perbibitan di kabupaten Badung, diperlukan penyuluhan yang berdasarkan konsep sistem dan usaha agribisnis peternakan serta partisipasi peternak untuk dapat menerima dan menerapkan berbagai inovasi yang diberikan oleh penyuluh. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas penyuluh peternakan di Kabupaten Badung ada dalam kategori sangat baik, dan keberhasilan usaha peternakan sapi bali perbibitan di Kabupaten Badung ada dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

The chicken slaughtering business is about processing broiler chickens into carcass that would then be marketed to consumers. This study aims to determine operational management, finansial feasibility, as well as the sensitivity of the feasibility of semi modern chicken slaughterhouse business at UD. Giri Sari. This research was carried out at UD Chicken Slaughterhouse. Giri Sari Denpasar, Desa Penatih Dangin Puri, Kecamatan Denpasar Timur Denpasar Regency for 1 month from April to May 2018. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The variables used in this study are operational management chicken slaughterhouse and financial feasibility analysis. Financial feasibility is determined based on the results of the Net Present Value analysis, Internal Rate of Return, Net Benefit Cost Ratio, Pay Back Period, Break Even Point, and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that this business generated NPV 15.025.348.898,76, IRR 101,94%, Net B / C 5,06, PBP 3 months 20 days (0,30 years) and BEP 6 years. The results of the sensitivity analysis show that this business is less sensitive to the increase in the price of live chickens by 14,52% and is very sensitive to the decline in carcass prices by 3,39%. Therefore the business of Chicken Slaughterhouse UD. Giri Sari Denpasar is financially feasible. Although this business is feasible to run, it is necessary to pay attention to cutting management so that the quality of the carcass is in accordance with SNI in the RPA. Abstract

Bali is famous for many types of traditional food, one of which is famous is suckling pig. Since ancient times suckling pig has been used as a means of religious ceremonies. A long with the development of the era and the increase in the number of population not only for ceremonies but many suckling pig that have been consumed by the public. Gianyar and Ubud Subdistricts as one of the mobility and tourism areas that are growing rapidly, seems to provide opportunities for the development of restaurant businesses, especially suckling pig. The purpose of this study is to find out about the relation, preception and satisfication of customer to competitiveness of suckling pig restaurant in Gianyar Regency. This study conducted for 12 weeks at suckling pig restaurant in Gianyar Regency. Election of location determined Purrposive method and election of sampling used Accidental Sampling method. Respondents of this study as many as 80 respondens who consumed suckling pig. Variables observed are perception, satisfication, and competitiveness of suckling pig restaurant. The result of this study showed perception of customer to suckling pig culinary is in high category with 75.73% average. Satisfication of customer to suckling pig culinary is in high category with 76.27% average. Competitiveness of suckling pig restaurant is in high category with 68.52 % average. Relation between perception to competitiveness of suckling pig restaurant has obivious significant (P<0,01). Relation between satisfication to competitiveness suckling pig restaurant has significant (P<0,05). According to the result of this study could be recommended, producers have to understand the standards of consumer needs so that restaurants can provide products that match or exceed consumer needs. Abstract

The research, entitled "Perceptions of Farmers Own Role in Improving Knowledge and Extension Livestock Cattle Management" was held at the Cattle Group Sekar Sari, Pangsan Village, the District of Petang, Badung Regency, which runs from April 16, 2012 until June 24, 2012. Livestock group selected by purposive. This activity has 30 respondents. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of farmers about the role of education in improving the knowledge and management of cattle in the cattle Sekar Sari and analyze the relationship between farmer perceptions of the role of education with the knowledge and management farmers cattle. There variables show the perception of farmers about the education role that analyzed statistically using the nonparametric Spearman Study Correlation Coefficient Test. The research showed that perceptions about the role of education farmers in improving the knowledge and management of cattle in the cattle Sekar Sari has a good category. Perception of farmers about the role of extension workers is positively associated with the level of knowledge is not real farmers, while the farmers perception about the real role of the counselor is positively associated with the management of cattle.

Abstract

Integrated agricultural system is one of the leading activities of the Bali Provincial Government in an effort to increase income and poverty alleviation in Bali. However, until now the implementation of Simantri has not been able to increase the member's income optimally. This study aims to determine the relationship of Simantri management implementation with income level of farmers in Bali. The study was conducted in eight districts spread in Bali, lasting for 3 months from April to July 2018. The selection of research sites using purposive method and the determination of samples using Stratified Purposive Sampling method. Respondents from this study amounted to 45 farmers members of Gapoktan Simantri. The analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis and Spearman level correlation test. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Simantri management in Bali Province included in the medium category. Increase in farmer income is included in the low category. Relation between the implementation of Simantri management with income level of Farmer who have followed the Simantri program in Bali Province has obivious significant (P<0.01). Suggestions that can be delivered are Farmers members of Gapoktan Simantri should apply livestock business units, food crops and waste treatment with more leverage, in order to reduce the production cost of Simantri managed to increase revenue.Keywords: Simantri, application, revenue, management

Abstract

Adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Kemampuan tersebut menjadi salah satu indikator keberhasilan gapoktan dalam mengelola kegiatan simantri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik pada gapoktan simantri dan (2) mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik individu dan sifat inovasi terhadap tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik. Penelitian dilakukan di tujuh kecamatan di Kabupaten Gianyar. Responden penelitian sebanyak 62 orang yang terdiri dari ketua dan anggota kelompok dari 31 kelompok simantri tahun 2009-2012. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode acak distratifikasi tidak proporsional. Jenis data berupa data primer dan sekunder. Metode  pengambilan  data  primer adalah  wawancara  secara  langsung,  observasi  dan dokumentasi, data sekunder diambil dengan metode arsip.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi pupuk organik dan biogas oleh gapoktan simantri adalah sedang; (2) terdapat hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0.01) antara pendidikan non formal dan semua indikator sifat inovasi dengan adopsi biogas dan pupuk organik. Umur berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0.01) dengan adopsi biogas, namun pada inovasi pupuk organik, umur hanya berhubungan nyata (P<0.05). Jumlah pemilikan lahan berpengaruh nyata (P<0.10) dengan adopsi inovasi biogas dan pupuk organik.

Abstract

Pig farming mostly done at Kanatang Sub District, East Sumba State, however the maintenance was inadequate. It made the productivity of pig farming was not optimal yet. The purpose of the research is to: 1) know the relation about the level of the knowledge and attitude of the farmer to the implementation of the pigs farming management at Kanatang Sub district; 2) knowthe level of the knowledge, attitude and the implementation of the pigs farming management at Kanatang Sub district. This research was conducted at Kanatang Sub district, East Sumba State. The respondent of this research was 50 persons which came from in Kanatang Sub district. The sample taking as the respondents used the method of “ Stratified Random Sampling”. The kind of data used in this research were primary and secondary data.The primary data obtained from direct interview and observatitio,the secondary obtained from the information existed in The Departement of Animal Husbandry of East Sumba. The analysis used in this research was qualitative analysis and Spearman level of correlation test. The result of the research showed that level of the pig farm maintenance at Kanatang Sub District include of the good category, the level of the farmers’ knowledge about the management of the pig farm include in high category, the attitude of the farmers about the management of the pig farm maintenance include in positive category. The factor of age and knowledge have the insignificant relation (P>0,10) with the level of pig farm maintenance management, while the farm owning and the attitude have significant relation (P<0,10) with the level of management implementation of pig farming, and knowledge have really significant relation (P<0,01) with the management implementation of pig farming at Kanatang Sub District.
