Abstract

Abstract : Research conducted in class VII SMPN 3 Sinaboi 2015/20156 school year to determine improving student learning outcomes with the use of media images. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles of planning, execution and observation and reflection. The data collected in this study is the result of learning by assessing the absorption and mastery learning results obtained from the post-test and daily tests sisiwa. Student activity and teacher activity were measured using observation sheet.From the research results can be concluded that by using media images can improve learning outcomes IPA class VII SMPN 3 Sinaboi Academic Year 2015/2016 where absorption is obtained from the value of post-test on the first cycle, the first meeting is 75.35% (enough) and increased in the second meeting, namely 78.84% (enough). In the second cycle first meeting of 85.76% (good) and increasing at a meeting 2 to 90.76% (excellent). Mastery learning students in the first cycle that 76.07 (enough) and the second cycle increased to 8.00 (good). The average activity of students in cycle 1 meeting 1yaitu 90.00% (excellent) increased at a meeting 2 to 93.84% (excellent) danpada cycle II meeting 1 97.69% (excellent), increasing at a meeting 2 to 100 5 (excellent ). Activities teachers in the learning process in the first cycle is 85%, (good) and the second cycle was 100% (excellent).Keywords: Media Image, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of chitosan shells on the shelf life of salted fish cork (Ophiocephalus striatus) in February and May 2015. The results are used to develop the concept of learning modules on the subjects of food biotechnology Biotechnology. This research was carried out by two phases: the field of research and development phase of learning modules. Research conducted experiments using completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial, which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replicates in order to obtain 12 experimental design. If there is a real test there will be a further test DMRT. The parameters observed water content, protein content, fat content, organoleptic color, aroma and texture. The results showed that administration of chitosan have a significant effect on water content, protein content and fat content in cork salted fish (Ophiocephalus striatus). Chitosan concentration of 2% is the best concentration. Where to lower the water content of 23.11%, amounting to 0.182% fat content can also increase the protein content of 60.95%. While the color and aroma of salted fish most preferred cork panelist in the treatment of 1.5% while the texture of the panelists preferred the treatment of 1%. Results of the study can be used as a learning module that is in the food preservative materials on subjects Biotechnology. Keywords: Effectiveness of Chitosan, Salted fish Cork, Learning Module.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to develop the Student Worksheet based on scientific approach to improve students' critical thinking on fungi content for grade X High Schoo. The reaserch was done at Faculty of Education, University of Riau in January until May 2015. The study refers to research approaches Research and Development using ADDIE models developed by Dick and Carry. Research carried out until the stage of development. The subjects is KD 3.6 senior high school grade X in fungi content that had been developed into five student worksheet. Data was collected using a validation sheet filled out by 5 validators and limited trial aimed at high school students who have studied in fungi content. Population and samples for limited trial randomly determined that the class X MIA 4 in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru as many as 20 students. Results of the validation of the design, pedagogical and content aspects showed all student worksheets obtain an average score of 3.53, 3.66, 3.62, 3.69 and 3.68 categorized as very valid while the limited test results from the aspect of design, pedagogy and content showed all student worksheet obtain an average score 3.58, 3.58, 3.61, 3.58 and 3.61 with the excellent category. Abstract

Abstract: Aims of this research is determine the effectivity of the addition of cow feses in liquid waste out as a raw material for biogas to the development of biotechnology handout on the concept of class XII High School in January 2016 to March 2016. The research was carried out by two stages, experimentation and development handouts. Research experiments conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replications. If there is a real test there will be a further test Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level, while the development of handout done using ADDIE models. Parameters used include volume, pH, temperature, and the test flame. The addition of cow manure in liquid waste out effectively in the production of biogas. Treatment B3 (1500 ml liquid waste out + 1200 ml of cow dung) to be most successful in generating biogas, which can produce biogas volume of 8.44 liters and has a blue flame. The results of this study can be used as a handout development by showing category invalid (3.88) on the concept of biotechnology sub class XII High School in the field of biotechnology breeding material.Key Words: Cow Dung, Tofu Liquid Waste, Biogas , Handouts , Biotechnology

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to the effectiveness sugar addition of nata de cassava quality from tapioca liquid waste on April to June 2015, for learning module development of biology on conventional biotechnology concept grade XII Senior High School. The research conducted with 2 phases namely experimental research and development of learning module. Experimental research was using non factorial completely randomized design that consist 5 treatments and 3 replicates and totally obtain 15 experimental design. It would further DMRT test if real different. The observed parameters include crude fiber content, thickness and organoleptic texture, smell, color and flavor. The result showed that sugar addition significantly influence to the crude fiber content and thickness of nata de cassava from tapioca liquid waste. The addition 15 % of sugar that can produce the best crude fiber content, thickness, texture and preference. The result of crude fiber content is 2.62% and the resulting thickness is 1.54 cm. Rate results of learning module of biology development on conventional biotechnology concept grade XII Senior High School is valid. Abstract

Abstract: The study is classroom action research (PTK) which aims to improve the biological activity and learning outcomes of students with the implementation of cooperative learning model students teams achievement division (STAD) in class X SMK 1 Rimba Melintang in the academic year 2015/2016. The study was conducted in March-May 2016. The subjects were students of class X SMK 1 Rimba Melintang 2015/2016 school year with the number of 24 people (17 students and 7 students). The study took place during the second cycle in which the first cycle with the materials describe the process of catabolism products (cellular respiration) and the second cycle by the materials describe the process of anabolism product (photosynthesis) conducted three meetings, including daily tests. Parameters measured were the activities and student learning outcomes which consists of the absorption of students and student learning completeness, awards groups, student activities and teacher's activities. When implementing the learning activities consisting of four indicators and activity when carrying out the percentage of groups that are observed by teachers and teacher activity by giving the check mark (√) during activities diobservasikan by the observer. Absorptive capacity of the students in the first cycle of 76.66% (enough) and the second cycle of 85.42% (excellent). Mastery learning in the first cycle were completed and 83.33% increased in the second cycle is 95.83%. Group awards in the first cycle there are two super group and the second cycle there are 3 super groups. Average student activity in cycle I 76.56% (or less) and the second cycle increased to 80.20% (excellent). The average teacher activity increased by 81.81% (excellent) and the second cycle of 95.45% (excellent). From these results it can be concluded that the model type STAD cooperative learning can enhance the biological activity and learning outcomes of students of class X SMK 1 Rimba Melintang in the academic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Student activity, Teacher Activity, Cooperative Model Type STAD.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of study was to analyze the instruments are made of authentic assessment VII grade teacher for science learning material energy in living systems at the junior Babussalam Pekanbaru. Research conducted at the University Campus Biology Education FKIP Riau in August-September 2015. The subject of this study is made of authentic assessment instruments seventh grade teacher for science learning material energy in living systems. How to analyze authentic assessment instruments which have been created by a teacher is to use assessment indicators. Indicator assessment made in accordance with the demands of the curriculum in 2013 for each competency. Competence of knowledge (cognitive) using indicators to assess the test instrument is written in narrative form, the competence of the attitude (affective), using indicators to assess the self-assessment instruments and observations while competency skills (psychomotor) using indicators to assess the performance of the instrument. Results of the analysis instrument authentic assessment made classroom teachers VII for science learning material energy in living systems at the junior Babussalam Pekanbaru to note that the competence of knowledge (cognitive) for the written test in narrative form classified in sufficient criteria to the percentage of 61%, competence, attitudes (affective) assessment classified themselves in less criteria with 59% and the percentage of observations fall into the criteria very well with the percentage of 83% while the competency skills (psychomotor) for assessing performance in both criteria once classified with a percentage of 83%.Key words: Authentic assessment, science energy in social life, teacher of class VII, Babussalam junior high school Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to produce student working sheet based on scramble learning model for the chapter of living organization system on Science subject in class VII of junior high school. This development research was conducted at Laboratoryof Biology Education Departement of PMIPA Facult of Teaching And education University of Riau and SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted on March to june 2017. Research type that used this development research refer into Research and Development approach by using ADDIE model that has 5 steps (analyze, design, development, implement, evaluate). This research was done until development step only. Instument that used is validation sheet and respondent cuesionary, next it was held a limited test to 15 people Biology Education Study and 25 7th grade pipils in SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. Research data was analyzed by using descriptive. Analysist on come of LKPD based by scramble learning model for the chapt of living organization system was seen by 3 aspects, content feasibility aspect, planning aspect, and pedagogical aspect. Validity value LKPD based by scramble learning model in content feasibility aspect was 3,14 with valid category, validity value in planning aspect was 3,22 with valid category, whereas validity value in pedagogical aspect was 3,08 with category valid. Response learners by pupil on LKPD based by scramble learning model was categoryzed into very good with 3,34 score.Key Words: Development, Student Worksheet, Scramble Learning Model

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to find outskill of critical thinking for high school students in solving written test in biologyl science olympiad for junior-senior high school in Riau 2014. This research was descriptive research. This reseach conducted in August 2014. The sample of this research were all participants of written test stage II and stage III, participants in UKT stage II were 266 and participants in UKT stage III were 147. Techniques to determine sampling was total sampling. Parameters measured were skill of critical thinking students which used indicators in 5 critical activity of Ennis. The result showed skill of critical thinking of high school students in solving written test stage II and stage II showed not good criteria with percentage respectively 37% and 28.3%. There are 5 critical activity indicators according to Ennis, the research indicated the lowest percentage found in critical activity 4 that provide further explanation. The conclusion of the research was skill of critical thinking high school students in solving written tes in biology science olympiad for Junior-Senior high school students in Riau 2014 was not good with percentage 32.65%. Abstract

Abstract : According Permendikbud number 81A, one of the competence of the future needed is the ability to think critically. Therefore, it was expected the field of education focused on the fulfillment of these competencies. The purposed of this research was to develop students' worksheets with PQ4R strategies on genetic material to improve the critical thinking skills of students in Class XI SMKN Integrated Agricultural Riau Province. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Department of the PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and SMKN of Agriculture in May to October 2016. This type of research was the development of research using ADDIE model of integration to the stage of development. There were 3 worksheets developed. Instruments of data collection in this study were the validation sheet worksheets, student questionnaire responses, and critical thinking skills observation sheet. After LKS developed, the tests I on 16 students of fourth semester of biology education FKIP UR, then validated by the validator 4, and a second trial on 31 students. I result showed the average score 3,53 with very good category. The tests showed the average score of 3 LKS design developed was 3,08 valid category, the mean score of the pedagogic aspect was 3,21 valid category, and the mean score of the content aspect was 3,30 very valid category. The mean score of all aspects of the three categories 3,20 LKS was valid. II result showed the average score 3,36 with very good category. The results of the analysis of the answers of students in Worksheet 1 showed the mean value of 3.61. Based on the results of data analysis could be concluded that the development of the Strategy Worksheet PQ4R the genetic material increased the understanding and knowledge of the genetic material and enhanced students' critical thinking skills.
