Abstract

Learning activity is an essential indicator of successful learning in Islamic Religious Education. However, teacher-centered instructional practices often limit student participation and engagement during classroom learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model based on Roleplay Card media on students' learning activity in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Geomatika Bandar Lampung. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a post-test-only control group design. The sample consisted of an experimental class that received instruction through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model based on Roleplay Card media and a control class that received conventional learning. Data were collected through a learning activity questionnaire and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test analyses. The results showed a significant difference in learning activity between students in the experimental and control classes, with a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05). Students who learned through the Two Stay Two Stray model based on Roleplay Card media demonstrated higher levels of learning activity than those who experienced conventional instruction. These findings indicate that integrating cooperative learning with interactive learning media effectively promotes student engagement and participation in Islamic Religious Education. The study contributes to the development of innovative student-centered learning strategies and provides practical implications for teachers seeking to enhance classroom interaction and learning quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of student learning independence in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at High School 13 Bandar Lampung, where the self-consistency indicator only reached 19%. This phenomenon indicates the need for innovative learning models that can foster students' self-confidence and responsibility for learning. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning model in improving learning independence, especially in the aspect of student self-consistency. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique consisting of an experimental class (TPS model) and a control class (conventional method). Data was analyzed using the Independent Samples T-Test after fulfilling the prerequisite tests of Shapiro-Wilk normality (Sig. X = 0.154; Y = 0.173) and Levene's homogeneity (Sig. 0.330). The research findings show that the TPS model has a highly significant partial effect on the dependent variable with a t-value of 57.326 and a significance of 0.000. The mechanism of individual thinking, pair discussions, and sharing results has proven effective in building self-confidence, courage to express opinions, and student responsibility. Theoretically, this study provides novelty in the application of the TPS model in the context of Islamic Religious Education at the high school level, especially in proving that academic procrastination behavior is a reliable predictor of students' levels of self-efficacy and independence. Practically, this study recommends the use of the TPS model to strengthen character and create a participatory classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of moderate Islamic values has become an essential concern in Islamic education, as madrasahs function not only as spaces for transmitting religious knowledge but also as institutions for cultivating students’ character as tolerant, just, balanced, and respectful individuals. This study focuses on the application of moderate values in Islamic Religious Education learning and the challenges encountered in implementing moderate Islamic values at MAS Muhammadiyah Sukarame. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study drew on primary data from the madrasah principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students, as well as secondary data from institutional documents and supporting activity records. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The research stages included determining the research focus and informants, developing interview and observation guidelines, collecting field data, reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions, and validating the findings through technical triangulation. The findings reveal that moderate Islamic values are implemented through Islamic Religious Education learning, religious habituation, school activities, discussion, advice, role modelling, and a culture of mutual respect. The values manifested include tolerance, deliberation, cooperation, justice, discipline, and respect for differences. The main challenges include the low discipline of some students, limited responsiveness to advice, and a lack of variation in instructional media. This study concludes that the implementation of moderate Islamic values needs to be strengthened through more contextual, participatory, and sustainable learning so that moderation is not merely understood conceptually, but becomes part of students’ moral habits.

Abstract

For those who study and believe in the Qur'an, the sacred book of Muslims, the divine revelations found within provide guidance, instruction, and educational resources. As mentioned in QS. al-Jumu'ah verses 1-5, the Qur'an, which forms the foundation of Islamic teachings, has several qualities, one of which is the importance of education. In many schools today, the Qur'an and the sunnah are not the primary sources of knowledge. Because the Islamic aim of education has not been fully realized, students have a tendency to become materialistic and distant from high principles. Thus, the goal of this research is to examine the educational principles included in verses 1-5 of QS. al-Jumu'ah and ascertain the mufasirs' perspectives on these principles. Similar to library research, this study employs a qualitative technique and applies the tafsir tahlili and muqoron procedures to analyze the data. According to the study's findings, the six mufasirs examined interpreted QS. al-Jumu'ah verses 1-5 similarly, emphasizing the Prophet's mission to educate his people, self-purification from Allah, and a parable for those who do not put their knowledge into practice. The educational ideals included in QS. al-Jumu'ah verses 1-5 include tawhid, worship, and morals.

Abstract

Students’ learning motivation in Fiqh instruction at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah remains a persistent concern when the learning process is predominantly characterized by conventional teaching methods and reliance on textbooks. Such conditions may lead students to become less active, less enthusiastic, and insufficiently engaged in comprehending religious subject matter. This study aims to analyze the effect of using ZEP Quiz-based video game media on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students in Fiqh instruction at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. Employing a quantitative approach, this study adopted a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 56 fourth-grade students, comprising 28 students in the experimental class who received instruction using ZEP Quiz-based video game media and 28 students in the control class who received conventional instruction. Data were collected using a Likert-scale learning motivation questionnaire administered in the form of pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain analysis, and an Independent Sample t-test through SPSS. The findings revealed that the mean learning motivation score of students in the experimental class increased from 64.20 to 84.47, while the control class increased from 61.85 to 74.77. The t-test results indicated a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05, demonstrating a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, ZEP Quiz-based video game media is empirically proven to enhance students’ learning motivation in Fiqh instruction.

Abstract

In today’s digital era, everyone can easily express their opinions through social media. However, this freedom is often misused, leading to harsh comments, slander, and hate speech. This article discusses the importance of guarding one’s speech and maintaining proper etiquette in commenting, based on Islamic teachings. In Islam, every word—spoken or written—carries moral responsibility and will be held accountable before Allah. The principle of “speaking good or remaining silent” serves as a fundamental guideline in all forms of communication, including online interactions. Through an analysis of verses from the Qur’an and Hadith, this article emphasizes that guarding one’s speech in the digital space is not only about politeness but also reflects one’s faith and character. By applying Islamic values in online communication, social media can become a medium for spreading goodness rather than a place for harm or conflict.
