Abstract

The development of technology and information has direct consequences on human habits in utilizing them for various daily activities. This reliance on information technology has become so significant that there is even a sense of discomfort experienced when it is absent, including within Muslim communities. Social media is one of the most advanced technologies that is highly sought after and extensively utilized across all levels of society. It serves various purposes, such as facilitating connections between friends, providing access to information and communication, enabling transactions and business activities, fostering new relationships, and much more. However, social media can also have negative consequences when users fail to respond to it properly and wisely. Examples of these consequences include manipulation, offense, disputes, and conflicts. This study employs a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The findings of the study demonstrate that the utilization of social media is effective and positive when users adhere to the various ethics outlined in the Al-Qur'an. The Al-Qur'an emphasizes that the use of social media prohibits the dissemination of fake news or hoaxes. It stresses the importance of validating information before sharing it with others or receiving it. Additionally, it encourages individuals to refrain from criticizing others and to maintain the use of respectful and appropriate language when interacting with fellow human beings.

Abstract

This conceptual study explores the paradigm of progressive Islamic teaching and learning, addressing the disconnection between traditional teachings and modern science, which hinders their societal relevance. Fueled by the "progressive Islam" paradigm initiated by Muhammadiyah, this research advocates for integrating Islamic doctrines and practices with scientific knowledge to enhance individual and societal well-being. Employing a conceptual survey, the study analyzes existing literature to propose that modern teaching methods should be employed to facilitate a deeper understanding, practical application, and reflection of Islamic teachings. The study's implications underline the significance of fostering a harmonious integration between Islamic education and modern knowledge, contributing to the advancement of both individual growth and social progress. Highlight: Societal Disconnection Addressed: This study explores the paradigm of progressive Islamic teaching, bridging the gap between traditional teachings and modern science, crucial for enhancing societal relevance. Abstract

Aqidah Akhlak is a course that must be attended by PAI students because they will become teachers who will teach this course. The Aqidah Akhlak teacher requires the ability of "information literacy" in the themes that are taught. In this study, the writer will implement the REAP strategy in The Aqidah Akhlak subject to improve the information literacy ability of college students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the subject of research is a PAI UMSIDA student. This research was conducted in several stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection is done by observation, field notes, interviews, tests, and documentation. After conducting classroom action research on the Aqidah Akhlak course, the results obtained in the Pre-Assessment averaged 50.5, then increased in the Post-Assessment an average of 86.7. Improvement in each cycle is followed by an increase in students' ability to browse the literature appropriately and use it in argumentation, increased activity in discussions, and increased task completion. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of REAP strategy can improve students' information literacy abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki corak ideologi berbeda dengan mayoritas masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang mendalam, menggabungkan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Subyek penelitian mencakup Pengurus LPI, pemuka agama, orang tua siswa, dan anggota masyarakat umum yang berinteraksi langsung atau memiliki kepentingan terhadap keberadaan lembaga tersebut. Teknik analisis data interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pola persepsi dan faktor yang mempengaruhi pandangan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dominan masyarakat terhadap LPI dengan ideologi berbeda cenderung positif, terutama ketika lembaga tersebut mampu menunjukkan kualitas pendidikan yang baik, konsistensi dalam nilai-nilai keagamaan, pengelolaan profesional, serta lingkungan yang aman dan beretika. Banyak orang tua merasa lembaga ini menjadi alternatif yang baik bagi pendidikan anak-anak mereka karena menekankan pada pendidikan karakter Islami. Namun, persepsi negatif muncul dalam masyarakat yang kurang terbuka terhadap perbedaan ideologi atau ketika LPI dinilai memiliki nilai yang kurang sejalan dengan budaya setempat. Kekhawatiran terkait stigma radikalisme, ketidaksesuaian nilai, serta kualitas fasilitas dan pengajar juga memperkuat pandangan kritis dari sebagian masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, LPI yang ingin memperkuat persepsi positif di masyarakat perlu menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan masyarakat, berinteraksi secara inklusif, dan transparan mengenai nilai-nilai yang diusung. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberi pemahaman mendalam tentang dinamika sosial yang terjalin antara lembaga pendidikan Islam dengan masyarakat, serta memberikan kontribusi pada kajian keberagaman dan toleransi dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang meningkatkan pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai islam di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan Literature Review menggunakan database Taylor and Francis dan Google Scholar. Hasil pencarian yang memenuhi kriteria terdapat dalam bagan prisma flowchart. Hasil dari 106 artikel relevan judul dan abstrak, didapatkan 7 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil review ditemukan empat tema yaitu beribadah, mandiri dan tanggung jawab, semangat kebangsaan, dan teladan yang berpengaruh terhadap faktor-faktor yang meningkatkan pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai islam di Indonesia. Proses pendidikan karakter menjadi tanggung jawab semua komponen, baik keluarga, sekolah, masyarakat, atau pemerintah sehingga siswa memiliki sikap dan perilaku sosial seperti simpati, empati, toleransi, kejujuran, ketaatan, tanggung jawab dan disiplin.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the means of worship supporting Islamic religious education in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects used a purposive sampling technique: the principal, Islamic Religious Education teacher and six grade X students. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the means of worship at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo still use the same mosque as the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The facilities for worship are quite complete and are used as a place for teaching and learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects such as practice in schools and mentoring activities. Facilities of worship can support Islamic religious education so that it can facilitate students in exploring and developing the potential of faith, so that later they will not only know and understand, but can implement religious knowledge and faith, and can also live side by side with adherents and adherents of other religions. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the role of the mosque as a means of Islamic education can be a barometer in the symbols of Islam, and Ukhuwah Islaminyah, namely the application of the role of mosques in carrying out religious activities and programs inclusively.

Abstract

Kepercayaan publik terhadap lembaga pendidikan dasar merupakan faktor penting dalam keberlanjutan dan perkembangan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi promosi yang diterapkan sekolah dasar dalam membangun kepercayaan publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Strategi promosi yang efektif meliputi peningkatan kualitas layanan pendidikan, pemanfaatan media sosial, dan keterlibatan aktif di masyarakat. Selain itu, prestasi siswa dan citra positif guru juga merupakan faktor pendukung utama dalam membangun kepercayaan.
