Abstract

Masalah yang diangkat dalam tulisan ini berkaitan dengan register khotbah Jumatberbahasa Jawa khususnya yang dipergunakan para khotib di masjid Ageng, Jatinom,Kabupaten Klaten. Kajian yang dipergunakan yakni sosiolinguistik dengan jenis penelitiandeskriptif kualitatif. Bahasa Jawa dipergunakan oleh khotib sebagai bahasa pengantarmengingat mitra tutur –dalam konteks ini adalah jamaah sholat Jumat- sebagaimasyarakat tutur Jawa. Variasi bahasa lain yang dominan muncul adalah bahasa Arab danserpihan bahasa Indonesia sering dipergunakan khotib dalam penyampaian khotbahnya.Register atau kekhasan bahasa dalam ranah agama yakni khotbah Jumat berbahasa Jawaini selain adanya penggunaan variasi bahasa juga ditemukan adanya ajakan, larangan,perintah dan dominasi ungkapan-ungkapan tradisional Jawa. Karakteristik registerkhotbah Jumat bersifat terang dan jelas, singkat padat, meyakinkan dan standar This study aimed to describe problems related to registers of Javanese language Fridaysermon, especially delivered by the preachers of Ageng Mosque, Jatinom, Klaten Regency.This study applied sociolinguistics with descriptive qualitative research. The preachersdelivered their sermon in Javanese language since the speech-partner, which in thiscontext was Jumat prayers, was society of Javanese language speech. Other dominantvariations of other languages used were Arabic language and cuttings of Indonesianlanguage which were often used by the preachers in delivering their sermon. Thelanguage registers and special characteristic in religion field were the Javanese languageFriday sermon and the existence of applying language variation found in persuasion,prohibition, command, and Javanese dominant traditional expressions as well. Thespecial characteristics of Friday sermon registers were bright and clear, concise,convincing, and standard.

Abstract

Penggunaan leksem binatang dalam peribahasa Jawa akan mempermudah pemahaman orang terhadap nilai simbolik leksem yang digunakan. Hal ini erat kaitannya dengan latar belakang budaya yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Jawa. Dengan menganalisis kosakata suatu bahasa, lingkungan fisik dan sosial tempat penutur suatu bahasa akan terkuak. Ada keterkaitan antara bahasa dan cara pandang dunia penuturnya yang bisa terlihat dari pemakaian kosakata. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak dan metode cakap dengan teknik simak libat cakap, teknik catat, dan teknik rekam. Metode dan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik content analysis atau dinamakan kajian isi digunakan untuk memanfaatkan data dari proses pengumpulan data yang telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ranah penggunaan leksem binatang dalam peribahasa Jawa terbagi ke dalam lima ranah penggunaan, antara lain digunakan dalam ranah keluarga, masyarakat, spiritual, kerja, dan  sindiran. Dalam peribahasa Jawa yang menggunakan leksem binatang ditemukan beberapa makna yang muncul yaitu 1) hukum alam, 2) penyangatan, 3) perumpamaan, 4) pedoman hidup, 5) larangan, 6) lukisan kasus khusus. The use of animal’s lexeme in proverbs Java will facilitate the understanding of the symbolic value. It is closely related to the cultural background of Javanese community. We can determine the relation between language and society perspective by analyzing the vocabulary, physical and social environment of speakers. Collecting data used  “simak” methods and “cakap” methods with the techniques “simak libas cakap”, noting and recording. Methods and techniques of data analysis used. The results of this research was the animal’s lexeme in Javanese proverbs classified in five domains of use: family, community, spiritual, work, and satire.  Javanese proverbs that use animal’s lexeme have several meanings: 1) the laws of nature, 2) hiperbole, 3) parables, 4) a way of life, 5) prohibition, 6) special case.

Abstract

Jika membicarakan tuturan imperatif atau kalimat perintah, biasanya yang ada di dalam benak kita adalahtuturan yang menggunakan konstruksi imperatif. Artinya, sudut pandang yang dipakai dalam kajian ihwaltuturan imperatif hanya berfokus pada aspek struktural. Padahal, pernyataan yang demikian dalamperkembangan pemakaian bahasa secara fungsional dapat menimbulkan persoalan. Persoalannya adalahbahwa dalam kegiatan bertutur makna pragmatik imperatif ternyata tidak hanya dapat dinyatakan dengankonstruksi imperatif saja melainkan dapat pula dinyatakan dengan konstruksi-konstruksi lainnya.Berdasarkan hal itu, maka permasalahan yang dapat diidentifikasi adalah: (1) Bagaimanakah wujud formaltuturan imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa? (2) Bagaimanakah wujud pragmatik tuturan imperatif dalam bahasaJawa?Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (a) memaparkan wujud formal tuturan imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa, dan(b) memaparkan wujud formal tturan imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa. Data penelitian ini meliputi berbagaimacam tuturan dalam bahasa Jawa keseharian baik secara tertulis maupun secara lisan sejauh di dalamnyaterkandung maksud atau makna pragmatik imperatif. Data penelitian dapat berwujud tuturan yangmengandung tuturan imperatif langsung maupun tidak langsung. Data disediakan dengan mengunakanmetode simak dan cakap. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodekontekstual. Hasil analisis data disajikan secara informal, artinya hasil temuan penelitian disajikan dalambentuk kata-kata biasa yang sangat teknis sifatnya.Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa memiliki dua macam perwujudan.Kedua jenis perwujudan itu mencakup (1) wujud formal imperatif dan (2) wujud pragmatik imperatif. Secaraformal, imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa meliputi (1) imperati aktif dan (2) imperatif pasif. Secara pragmatik,imperatif bahasa Jawa mencakup beberapa perwujudan, yakni imperatif yang mengandung maknapragmatik (a) desakan, (b) bujukan, (c) himbauan, (d) persilaan, (e) larangan, (f) perintah, (g) permintaan,dan (h) ngelulu. Dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan ang terencana dan hasil ang diperoleh, peneliti menyarankanagar penelitian yang berkenaan dengan pemakaian tuturan imperatif dalam bahasa Jawa perluditindaklanjuti dengan penelitian lain yang serupa, berancangan sama, namun memiliki ruang lingkup kajianyang lebih sempit, misalnya pemakaian tuturan imperatif bahasa Jawa pada ranah atau dialek tertentu,untuk mendapatkan analisis yang mendalam dan didapatkan kelengkapan pemerian pemakaian tuturanimperatif dalam masyarakat yang berbahasa Jawa.Kata kunci: wujud formal, wujud pragmatik, imperatif bahasa Jawa

Abstract

Ketrampilan menulis merupakan salah satu ketrampilan berbahasadisamping menyimak, berbicara, dan membaca. Ketrampilan menulis tidaklahmudah untuk dilakukan. Ketrampilan menulis bisa diperoleh melalui prosesbelajar dan pembiasaan. Semakin sering berlatih dan membiasakan menulis,maka akan semakin baik dan terampil. Aktivitas menulis jika tidak dibiasakanakan sulit untuk dilakukan. Aktivitas menulis dapat dilakukan untuk mengisiwaktu luang. Dari ketrampilan menulis, orang dapat memperoleh penghasilan jikatulisannya dimuat. Artinya, hasil tulisan dapat jual untuk menambah penghasilan.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan jurnalistik denganmemadukan pemberian teori-teori kepenulisan dan praktik menulis.

Abstract

Troso Weaving is a wealth of ancestral heritage that must always be preserved so as to strengthen the nation's identity. In addition, Troso weaving can be a container for various activities that have a positive impact on society. Troso Weaving is not just an aesthetic handicraft product, but also has a function contained in the names of Troso woven motifs. This research aims to: 1) The description of the shape of the lingual unit in Troso woven motifs in Troso Village, Pecangaan District, Jepara Regency. 2) Description of the lexical and cultural significance of Troso woven motifs in Troso Village, Pecangaan District, Jepara Regency. 3) Description of the language function of the cultivation of Troso woven motifs in Troso Village, Pecangaan District, Jepara Regency. It can be concluded that 1) Based on the shape, the names of Troso woven motifs are in the form of words and phrases. 2) Based on the meaning, the names of Troso woven motifs have a lexical meaning and a cultural meaning. 3) Based on the language function, the names of Troso weaving motifs are as a form of respecting the names of characters, as a form of identity, describing flora, depicting fauna, as a form of religious symbolization, as a symbol of calculation, describing the attitude of mutual cooperation, showing social status, showing technology, describe traditional arts, describe ecologically, and as a source of inspiration.Keywords: form, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, language function, names of woven motifs

Abstract

The objectives of this study are describing the form of the lingual unit, describing the meaning of the lingual unit, and describing the function of the lingual unit in the red bricks manufacture. Data analysis was performed using structural and ethnolinguistic language analysis techniques for the lingual unit used. Based on the results of the analysis, lingual units in the form of words found in the making of red bricks in Jatilaba Village, Tegal Regency are basic words, derived words, and compound words. In addition to that, there are lingual units in the form of phrases classified according to the distribution, core categories, and lingual units of the elements. The meaning of the lingual unit in the red bricks manufacture in Jatilaba Village, Tegal Regency is analyzed based on its lexical and cultural meanings. The lexical meaning of the lingual unit is divided based on several meanings, namely, based on tools, material, activities, and results of activities. The lingual unit function found is as a communication tool, as a link to the supernatural world, as a form of utilization of natural resources, indicating the origin of the process name of the instrument used, indicating the origin of the process name from the sound produced, indicating the origin of the process name from the results obtained, utilizing technology, describing the technique of making true red bricks, and as hereditary teachings. Abstract

Like other societies, women are important figures in Javanese society so that women's figures in Javanese society's thoughts are also described in such a way. There is a desire in the collective imagination of the Javanese community towards women, so that the Javanese people's thoughts about women are very diverse. One of them is the Javanese thought about the physical beauty of women which is idealized through the use of metaphors. This metaphor in Javanese society is an expression of Javanese society to express ideas and dreams through language. This paper aims to find out the metaphorical conceptualization of the physical beauty of women in Javanese. This study uses qualitative methods and conceptual metaphor theory according to Lakoff and Johnson (1980). The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between the Javanese people and their natural environment in the form of physical and cultural. Physical environment in the form of animals, plants, and other objects around it
