Abstract

This study investigates the implications of governance characteristics oversight - consisting of board of commissioners independent, audit committees number, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on profitability. The regression technique uses panel data with 2,060 data from all types of industries listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. Managerial ownership and CSR have a positive and significant effect on return on assets (ROA) so that they are considered to reduce agency costs. In contrast, board of commissioners independent, audit committees number, and institutional ownership have no effect on ROA thus confirming the decline in corporate governance in Indonesia. Implications of this study contributes to showing the existence of governance regulations "which are only fulfilled" without giving substance and emphasizes that social aspects exist in corporate stakeholder studies.

Abstract

Stasiun Kereta Api Gambir merupakan salah satu landmark kota Jakarta, dengan tingkat intensitas penggunaan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah fasilitas pada toilet stasiun kereta api sudah dapat digunakan oleh semua orang secara maksimal. Metode yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif berdasarkan kriteria standar desain universal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Peningkatan pada fasilitas toilet kereta api Gambir belum memenuhi standar desain universal; (2) Terdapatnya signage untuk disabilitas tanpa adanya toilet untuk disabilitas. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perubahan yang dilakukan oleh PT. KAI belum memenuhi tuntutan dari desain universal karena ketiadaan toilet khusus untuk pengguna difabel.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of budget participation, organization’s commitment and motivation toward managerial performance. The population included was employees in beverage company in Jakarta. Sampling was collected by using a purposive sampling method and the number of sample obtained 139 samples that meet the criteria and free from outliers. In addition to the above primary data, this study also collected secondary data from literatures and studies. Multiple Regression analysis was used as analytical technique. The result showed that budget participation, organization’s commitment and motivation jointly have significant positive effect on managerial performance. The study therefore recommends among others that all those presently involved in the implementation of budgets should be educated on the purpose and objectives of budgetary control and that lower level managers and staffs who are directly involved in the implementation of the budget should be co-opted into the budget setting process.

Abstract

The growing number of video game industry has made video game developers to take advantage of the opportunities to develop video games that have interesting gameplay. One being to utilize in-game purchases to create a more engaging experience. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of immersion and telepresence on interest in in-game purchase among teenagers in Batam, and to find out the factors to be considered by video game development companies in leveraging their in-game purchase. This research is conducted quantitatively by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents throughout Batam. The results were analyzed using linear regression method through SPSS. The results showed that immersion did not affect the increase in interest in-game purchase among teenagers in Batam. However, the results showed that telepresence has a significant effect on increasing the interest of teenagers in in-game purchase. It is implied that game development companies should consider telepresence as a factor that promotes in-game purchase in their video games.

Abstract

Saat ini perkembangan teknologi berkembang sangat pesat, terutama dapat dilihat pada sector keuangan. Inovasi yang hadir di sektor keuangan yaitu Financial Technology (FinTech). Dengan adanya inovasi tersebut memudahkan serta meningkatkan layanan transaksi keuangan. Fintech dapat terus menjadi pilihan masyarakat sebagai instrumen transaksi pembayaran demi kemajuan perekonomian Indonesia di era digital. Penelitian ini akan membahas peranan penggunaan fintech terhadap kalangan mahasiswa. Studi kasus pada penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa di Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan dilakukan penyebaran kuesioner yang disebarkan melalui Google Form. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa perkembangan dan peranan Fintech di kalangan mahasiswa sangat meningkatkan literasi keuangan serta membantu layanan transaksi keuangan.

Abstract

Industry 4.0 is marked with the increasing of information tecnology uses. This store which has been around since 1950 hasn’t been using information technology for its promotion. This final project has the purpose to design a promotion media with Insagram and printed media to promote Sido Mukti Coffeeshop so that it can compete in the industry era 4.0. Qualitative method is used to describe an object. Design technique is started with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. From the observation, the data obtained is about the situation of the store and its surounding. From the interviews, the data obtain is about the history of the store, the store development, photos, and videos. The theme of the design that is used is vintage with cross-hatching illustration. The final output is instagram design and other supporting printed media. The conclusion is, its better if all kind of business is up to date with the developments that exist so that they can compete without leaving any advantages that is offered. It is hoped that the next designer is able to explore Sido Mukti Coffeeshop’s advantages that hasn’t been showed yet.

Abstract

Lingkungan hidup yang baik dan sehat merupakan hal yang penting manusia dan negara yang harus dipenuhi tetapi pada faktanya, kedua hal ini sangat sulit berjalan bersamaan secara optimal, hal ini disebabkan oleh pemenuhan hak atas lingkungan terhambat oleh aktivitas industri yang seringkali membuang limbah sembarangan tanpa dilakukan pengelolahan terlebih dahulu. Pencemaran lingkungan terjadi pada kasus pembuangan limbah kertas pada perseroan terbatas yaitu PT X yang berdomisili di Karawang yang mengakibatkan pencemaran pada sungai Cibeet di desa Taman Mekar. PT X masih melakukan kegaitan perusahaannya yang berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan, meski mendapatkan peringatan dari pemerintah daerah. PT X tidak melangsungkan peringatan dari pemerintah daerah dan tetap terus melakukan kegiatan usahanya. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan yaitu yuridis normative (normative law research). Pembahasan tindakan pencemaran lingkungan dengan membuang limbah yang telah diperingati oleh pemerintah daerah dapat dikenakan sanksi administratif yang lebih lanjut yaitu berupa paksaan pemerintah sesuai dengan ketentuan dalam UU PPLH, selain itu PT X bertanggung jawab atas kerugian-kerugian atas pencemaran lingkungan yang dapat dimintakan ganti kerugiannya dengan nominal yang telah ditentukan oleh hakim maupun dengan kesepakatan.

Abstract

Korporasi berperan penting dalam pembangunan nasional, namun tidak sedikit korporasi yang melakukan tindak pidana untuk memperoleh suatu keuntungan. Tindak pidana oleh korporasi membawa dampak dan skala yang luas, bahkan memiliki karakteristik yang merusak moral. Tindak pidana mempekerjakan dan menawarkan layanan seksual oleh korporasi yang bergerak dibidang karaoke sudah banyak ditemui, hal ini tentu merusak moral masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bentuk pertanggungjawaban pidana yang dapat dikenakan terhadap korporasi yang mempekerjakan dan menawarkan pemandu karaoke untuk tujuan prostitusi. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu yuridis normatif, yaitu mengunakan aturan dan prinsip hukum untuk menemukan pemecahan masalah hukum yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tindakan mempekerjakan dan menawarkan pemandu karaoke untuk tujuan prostitusi oleh korporasi yang bergerak pada bidang usaha karaoke telah melanggar Pasal 2 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang dan Pasal 4 ayat (2) huruf c dan d Undang-Undang Nomor 44 Tahun 2008 Tentang Pornografi. Oleh karena itu, terhadap korporasi yang melakukan tindak pidana tersebut dapat dikenakan sanksi pidana sebagaimana diatur Pasal 15 Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang dan Pasal 40 ayat (7) jo. Pasal 41 Undang-Undang Nomor 44 Tahun 2008 Tentang Pornografi.

Abstract

This study analyzes the digital marketing strategies between two leading digital banking applications in Indonesia, namely MyBCA from Bank Central Asia (BCA) and Wondr by BNI from Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI). The research focuses on comparing features, digital marketing strategies, as well as customer acquisition and retention of the two applications. Data was obtained through secondary sources and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that although both applications have excellent features, MyBCA emphasizes simplicity and ease of use for general users, while Wondr by BNI focuses more on the younger generation with innovative and deeper personalization features. The digital marketing strategies employed by the two banks also differ, with MyBCA relying more on social media and email marketing, while Wondr by BNI predominantly uses influencer marketing. The conclusion of this study is that both applications have their respective strengths in meeting the needs of their customers.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the competitiveness and visibility of Kedai Gading Serpong MSMEs through the creation of offline promotional media and the addition of locations on Google Maps. Within ± 2 months, the community service team provided promotional assistance in the form of banner redesign, menu creation, and location improvements on Google Maps. Through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, the program has succeeded in improving the professionalism and accessibility of store customers. As a result, the increase in visibility and attractiveness of the store can be seen through the installation of banners, menu posts, and the addition of locations on Google Maps. Kedai Gading Serpong positively welcomed this program, showing success in improving promotions and services. In conclusion, the combination of offline and digital promotion is effective in developing MSMEs in the era of fierce market competition.
