Abstract

Usaha Kecil dan Mikro (UKM) CV. Rizky Abadi adalah sebuah usaha kecil kerajinan teraso yang biasa mengerjakan produk berupa pot bunga, bak mandi, dan wastafel. Usaha kecil ini hanya bergantung pada pesanan yang belum tentu kontinuitasnya, sehingga pekerjaan dan pendapatan juga tidak bisa dipastikan. Padahal usaha kecil tersebut memiliki skill dasar yang sangat potensial bisa dikembangkan keterampilan dan kreativitasnya untuk dapat memproduksi alternatif produk lain yang dapat meningkatkan potensi usahanya. Dari diskusi informal dan survei ke tempat usaha yang telah dilakukan bersama antara tim pengusul kegiatan dan pengusaha kecil tersebut sebagai mitra PKM, pengusaha mitra tersebut sangat antusias untuk dapat mengembangkan usaha melalui kreativitas produk bernilai jual. Kegiatan kreatif-produktif yang ditawarkan dan disepakati adalah pelatihan kreativitas produk baru berupa elemen interior teraso berbasis limbah batu marmer; manajemen produksi elemen interior teraso orientasi industri juga sangat mereka perlukan sebagai konsekuensi proses produk baru; dan strategi memasarkan produk baru dengan memanfaatkan media sosial untuk memperbaiki cara pemasaran konvensional yang cenderung bersifat pasif dan menunggu calon pembeli di tempat usaha. Identifikasi permasalahan untuk pengembangan usaha CV. Rizky Abadi tersebut adalah: kreativitas pengembangan produk baru, teknik produksi produk baru, dan strategi pemasaran sederhana melalu media sosial. Kegiatan pendampingan kreativitas produk elemen interior teraso berbasis limbah marmer yang diusulkan akan dilakukan secara komprehensif dengan memproseskan design thinking. Tahapan design thinking yang akan diproseskan adalah understand, ideate, prototype dan test. Understand adalah tahapan pemahaman dan pemetaan potensi skill dasar SDM dan kapasitas produksi mitra serta potensi kolaborasi dengan UKM lainnya. Ideate adalah tahapan mengemukakan dan memutuskan ide desain produk elemen interior teraso yang dianggap potensial bernilai jual. Prototype adalah tahapan memproses realisasi pembuatan elemen interior teraso. Test adalah tahapan ujicoba fungsi dan potensi nilai jual produk elemen interior teraso, dan evaluasi atas kelebihan dan kekurangan dari proses yang telah dijalankan, untuk pengembangan produk berikutnya. Kreativitas ide produk baru diproseskan pada tahap ideate dengan metode brainstorming, benchmark, dan sketsa. Pelatihan teknik produksi akan dilakukan dengan metode workshop dan estimasi seiring dengan proses produki dalam tahapan prototype. Sedangkan strategi pemasaran sederhana melalui media sosial akan dilaksanakan pada tahap test dengan mempersiapkan materi visual produk baru dan mempublikasikannya di media sosial serta platform komersial yang ada secara umum. Target dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah membantu menyelesaikan 3 permasalahan yang telah teridentifikasi tersebut. Target luaran konkritnya adalah realisasi minimal 3 jenis (@ 3 item) produk baru berupa elemen interior yang dapat diproduksi secara industri (kursi, meja, dan home décor), publikasi ilmiah kegiatan PKM, publikasi populer di media massa, dokumentasi audio- visual (video), dan HKI berupa desain industri.

Abstract

Having a pet is a hobby for some people to relieve stress or boredom, because their behavior is considered fun and attractive. Interaction between humans and pets occured in many areas in the house, caused positive psychological effects for their owners. However, the observation showed that not many owners pay attention to the facilities between humans and their pets. This caused a lack of place for interaction and a place to do activities in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The design purpose is to help owners and pets do their activity together, and have a close relationship between each other. The design method is design thinking with the stages of understand, define, point of view, idea, prototype, test, and implement. The concept of this design is "merge", which means combining or joining. The final products are 3 sets of alternative designs and 1 set of realized pet furnituree, consist of storage cabinets, chairs, tables, and sidetable. The knockdown system is applied to this design so that the packaging and the product assembling is more practical and simpler. Activities they can do together, for example, when relaxing, watching TV, reading, or eating-drinking, they still can interact while using this product.

Abstract

Desk and sitting facilities are important factors in creating a physical work environment that affects the performance and effectiveness of work activities in office. The important factors that influence this design are ergonomics and the correct working posture. Most office activities in Indonesia, are performed in static position for a long period of time, which is bad for health in the future. In this study, there are 3 problems that are raised. First, how to solve static work position problem, and Does body posture affect fatigue and user comfort and whether facility dimensions, behaviour, and time period factors are related to stress intensity. This study uses design thinking as a method with 3 stages: inspiration (understand, observe, and point of view), ideation (ideate, prototype, and test), and implementation (storytelling, pilot, business model canvas). This design resulted in 3 sets of alternative designs and 1 set of real sit-stand work facilities, such as standing chair and standing desk. The product set tested by respondents to find the evaluation of ergonomic factors, time division for dynamic work positions, and recommendations for dynamic work designs with ergonomic principles for development and improvement of the product in the future

Abstract

Human beings are the social species that relies on social interaction to survive and thrive. The COVID-19 pandemic hinders this process and made the basic human social needs was put on halt. When these needs cannot be met, humans will use alternative social inputs sources, one of which is through the adoptions of pets. The COVID-19 pandemic is the biggest factor in pet adoption in 2020 (Morgan L, et al. 155). The increase of pet adoption was caused by the increasing feeling of loneliness due to governments restrictions on social activities. The COVID-19 also causes the rise of remote working activities around the world. Interior Design prioritizes human relationships in a space which is an important factor in making a design that could provide a deeper connection for the users. In a workspace, productivity was supported by comfort, especially when working from home. The designing process uses Design Thinking method to produce the appropriate design for the users. The need for integrated pet furniture and human furniture deepens each year, thus the demand for integrated design was prevalent. To create comfortable working situation for pets and human the research was conducted to produce the furniture that could fulfil the need. The results of this study are to produce four different furniture product set that would benefits the user and their respective pets.
