Abstract

Students' numeracy skills are still relatively low. This can be seen when many students in their multiplication test have not answered the questions given and this is because students still do not understand the concept of multiplication. which is set. The purpose of this study is to Improve Students' Numeracy Skills Through the Jarimatika Method of Class III UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa Makassar City. This study was conducted with classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of the study were 19 students of class III UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa Makassar City. Data collection techniques were observation, testing (evaluation) and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research achieved quantitatively are: (1) In cycle I, the average value of the arithmetic results of class III students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa was 65, (2) In cycle II, the average value of class III students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa was higher, reaching 92. The learning completion of class III students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa increased. In cycle I, 12 (63%) students achieved learning completion, while in cycle II, 19 (100%) students achieved learning completion and classical learning completion was achieved. Based on this, learning completion in cycle II was achieved classically, because the number of students who completed it reached 80%. So it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of class III students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa, Makassar City can be improved through the jarimatika method strategy.

Abstract

The application of the Discovery Learning model is one of the effectiveapproaches to solving problems in the learning process. The Discovery Learningmodel gives students the responsibility to solve problems independently and withtheir group friends, making them more active. The research problem is whetherthere is an influence of using the Discovery Learning model on the mathematicslearning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 105 Sangkala, BulukumbaRegency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental researchtype where the design used is a pre-experimental design in a one-group pretest-posttest format. The sample in this study was selected intentionally usingpurposive sampling techniques to represent the population. The research sampleconsisted of 24 students from class IV B 105 Sangkala, Bulukumba Regency. Thedata collection techniques used are observation sheets, written tests, anddocumentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysistechniques, which include descriptive statistics and N-Gain tests, as well asinferential analysis techniques, including normality tests and hypothesis tests. Theresults of the inferential statistical analysis conducted with the t-test on the posttestdata analyzed using SPSS version 27.0 for Windows. The t-test consists of themathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class. This is demonstrated bythe hypothesis testing sig. (2-tailed) < α. Consequently, due to the value, H0 isrejected and H1 is accepted 0.001 > 0.05. Furthermore, the data shows that theaverage post-test scores of the experimental class ranged from a highest of 100 toa lowest of 60. Therefore, it can be concluded that the level of student learning isinfluenced by the application of the Discovery Learning model in mathematicseducation.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Mi Baiturrahman Untia Kota Makassar sebanyak 2 siswa yaitu 1 siswa kesulitan menyelesaikan soal dengan kategori kesulitan tinggi dan 1 siswa kesulitan menyelesaikan soal dengan kategori kesulitan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes soal bangun ruang dan wawancara tak terstektur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu kondensasi data ,penyajian data,dan verivikasi data  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) siswa memiliki kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan tes soal bangun ruang pada soal 1,2,3,dan 4 dikategorikan kesulitan tinggi dengan memenuhi semua indikator  kesulitan yaitu kesulitan memahami materi bangun ruang, kesulitan mengenal dan memahami soal, kesulitan dalam bahasa dan membaca pada level kognitif yaitu level menemukan (C4), level membuat (C5), dan menjelaskan (C6). (2) siswa yang memiliki kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun ruang pada soal 1,2,3,dan 4 dikategorikan kesulitan rendah karena tidak memenuhi semua indikator kesulitan yakni, kesulitan memahami materi bangun ruang, kesulitan mengenal dan memahami soal, kesulitan dalam bahasa dan membaca, serta pada level kognitif level menemukan (C4), level membuat (C5), dan menjelaskan (C6)
