Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic has affected not only health but also the economy. The use of big data in finding information can be used to gain profits that logistics companies can utilize to survive during the pandemic. This study conducted text-mining research on service consultant sites in the logistics sector. This study aims to present frequency diagrams, analyze sentiment using the National Research Council (NRC) lexicon, present bigrams, and seek knowledge about strategies to minimize shipping costs and maintain inventories of manufactured goods. The words "supply", "chain", and "COVID-19" are words that are used frequently throughout the article. The results of this study showed that the words that often appear from word excavation are the words "supply", "chain", "logistics", "kpis," and "inventory". Then emotion trust becomes an emotional word that often appears in articles. The words "Supply" and "pandemic" are the words that seem the most positive and negative words, respectively. The words "COVID-19", "safety stock", and "inventory management" are words that often appear together. The result of discovery knowledge is that logistics consultants offer emotions of trust and provide many insights on minimizing shipping costs and maintaining inventory during a pandemic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa pada materi Koordinat Kartesius berdasarkan gender siswa. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomologi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 di MTs Swasta Sholihin Tanjung Morawa tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan memberikan tes kemampuan literasi matematis dan wawancara kepada para partisipan. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor kemampuan literasi siswa laki-laki sebesar (73) dan pada siswa perempuan memiliki rata-rata skor kemampuan literasi sebesar (64). Pada ketercapaian kemampuan literasinya, siswa laki-laki mendapati presentasi sebesar 81% dan pada siswa perempuan presentasinya sebesar 71%. Ini dapat diartikan bahwa siswa kelas VIII-1 tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di MTs Sholihin Tanjung Morawa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa pada materi koordinat kartesius siswa laki-laki diatas daripada siswa perempuan.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Koordinat Kartesius, Gender

Abstract

Geogebra adalah salah satu aplikasi perpaduan antara geometri dan aljabar. Aplikasi ini merupakan aplikasi yang sudah dapat di install dari play store dari Handphone android. Sehingga aplikasi ini sangat baik digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika, khususnya untuk kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada materi parabola dan hiperbola. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Geogebra terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Metode penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Anlisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini akan di analisis dengan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh Geogebra terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yaitu: (1) menemukan learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dalam memahami materi garis singgung lingkaran, dan (2) Memberikan alternatif desain yang efektif dalam mengatasi learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dalam konsep garis singgung lingkaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriftif, partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMP Swasta Sabilina Tembung, tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas XI.  Jenis data kualitatif yang digunakan  berupa instrumen tertulis dan instrument non tes. Untuk memperoleh data tersebut, peneliti menggunakan instrumen tertulis untuk mengidentfikasi learning obstacle dan untuk instrumen non tes digunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal atau latihan-latihan yang berbentuk garis singgung sehingga peneliti mengindikasikan bahwa terjadinya learning obstacle. Peneliti tidak mendapati learning obstacle bentuk didactical obstacle dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring sehingga peneliti tidak dapat melakukan observasi lapangan dan observasi pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan peneliti tidak dapat mengungkap adanya didactical obstacle pada materi garis singgung lingkaran

Abstract

The low results and activities in mathematics learning are the main basis for this research. The aim of this research is to see how well the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes and activities. The research was carried out at SMK Negeri 7 Medan. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The respondents of this research were class X AKL 3 students at SMK Negeri 7 Medan, consisting of 35 people. Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. Data collection instruments used observation sheets and essay tests. The research results showed that student activity in cycle I was 70% (good) and in cycle II it was 90% (very good). Then the students' classical learning results in cycle I were 57.14% (Medium) with an average of 76.36 and in cycle II it was 88.57% (Very high) with an average of 87.71. So the conclusion of this research is that through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, it can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes and activities in statistics material in class X AKL 3 SMK Negeri 7 Medan.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the application of the Problem-Based Learning model. The subjects in this class action research are all students of class XI Merdeka Jaya SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa even the semester of the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 35 students (13 male students and 22 female students). This research data is in the form of quantitative data obtained from mathematical problem-solving ability tests with statistics material and qualitative data in the form of student activity data. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple statistical analysis. The results of data analysis showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving ability through the application of the Problem-Based Learning model. The results showed an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving ability in each cycle where cycle I amounted to 57.14%, and cycle II amounted to 88.57%. Then the results showed that student activity in the learning process in each cycle where cycle I amounted to 70.83%, and cycle II amounted to 91.67%. So it can be concluded that this class action research, namely through the application of Problem-Based Learning, can improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills on matrix material in class XI Merdeka Jaya SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa.

Abstract

This study is a form of classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The process comprises four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The objective of this classroom action research is to assess the enhancement of students' mathematical communication abilities and interpersonal intelligence through the implementation of the peer tutoring cooperative learning paradigm. The study included a sample of 30 students from Class XI in the Machining Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. The data collection methods employed encompassed observation, questionnaires, and tests. The study's findings demonstrated enhanced mathematical communication abilities and interpersonal intelligence among the pupils. Evidence of this can be observed in the notable improvement of students' mathematical communication skills and interpersonal intelligence. Specifically, there was a significant rise in written mathematical communication skills from 20% to 66.6%, and a substantial increase in students' interpersonal intelligence from 43.3% to 86.6%. The findings suggest that the adoption of the peer tutoring cooperative learning model is successful in improving students' proficiency in mathematical communication and interpersonal intelligence at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. Enhancing mathematical communication skills and interpersonal intelligence within an educational environment can contribute to the overall objective of training students to be proficient and capable professionals in real-world situations.

Abstract

The background to this research is the students' lack of understanding of the concept of poetry so that poetry writing tends to be written in the form of stories with paragraphs. These findings show that students' ability to write poetry at school is still low. This research aims to improve the ability of students in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program Semester 4 V at Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University in writing poetry using the acrostic technique. The research was carried out using classroom action procedures (PTK). Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) where the assessment is cyclical consisting of 4 stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The sample in the research here is all 4V semester students totaling 39 people. The research results show that the ability of students in the fourth semester of the Teacher Education Study Program in writing poetry in the pretest obtained a score of 60.10 and a completeness level of 16%. In the first cycle they obtained an average score of 64.72 and a completeness level of 49%. In cycle II the average score was 83.90 and the level of learning completeness was 92%. From the results of this analysis, it was concluded that the ability to write poetry using the acrostic technique of students in the fourth semester of the FKIP Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program increased. Based on the criteria for classical learning completeness, this learning has achieved the target of classical learning completeness. In other words, this acrostic technique helps students convey ideas, thoughts and feelings through imagination in the form of poetry.
